I
do
not
normally
write
reviews,
but
in
this
case
an
exception
is
warranted.
If
you
are
going
to
eat
only
one
meal
in
Barcelona,
it
should
be
at
Tresmacarrons.
While
the
restaurant
is
about
20
minutes
outside
of
Barcelona,
do
not
be
put
off
by
the
journey
or
the
location.
Having
spent
four
nights
in
Barcelona
dining
at
Michelin
starred
restaurants,
this
was
by
far
the
best.
The
food
highlights
the
exceptional
quality
of
the
main
ingredient,
which
is
not
overwhelmed
by
sauces,
foams
or
unnecessary
garnishes.
Razor
clams-
which
must
have
been
harvested
in
the
morning-
were
accompanied
with
a
simple
reduction
enhance
by
garlic
and
a
three
year
old
vinegar.
Porcini
mushrooms
were
served
with
just
the
right
amount
of
foie
gras
and
cream
to
accent,
but
not
overwhelm,
the
taste
of
the
main
ingredient.
The
24
hour
roast
lamb
was
unctuous
and
sublime-
one
of
the
best
renditions
of
this
classic
Spanish
dish.
My
gratitude
to
the
staff
who
treated
me
like
an
honored
guest
in
their
home-
unpretentious,
friendly
and
focused
on
my
needs.
Certainly
worthy
of
more
than
the
one
star
awarded
by
Michelin.
