Have been reacquainted with Norms. We used to visit Norms when we were kids all thru our 20s. Recently visited this particular restaurant, seems to be stuck in time, which in this case is good. Loved their usual American fare breakfasts and their steaks are always good. Impressed with their chilaquiles!

Wonderful staff, heard them laughing and joking so management is doing something to keep them happy. Food as expected and the environment was clean. The coffee was good, not too bitter, burnt, or watered down. They had cold brew on their list of drinks as well. Definitely would come to a Norms over a Denny's. They had everything you can think of for breakfast and steak items.

The food tastes good here. I haven't tried their steak yet and I will someday. Their service is typical of an American restaurant and it is totally fine. It has a modern feel and it is pleasant to dine in there.

This was the worst experience Ive ever had with norms. I ordered the thanksgiving meal for my family, excited for the large quantities they advertise for and instead I got the most small meal I have ever had in my life. First they only gave us 5 slices of ham, and keep in mind that this was 80 dollars in total. Next the stuffing and mashed potatoes were not enough and the salad was not even a salad it was just kale and ranch. It is the most scam likely meal I have ever had eaten. How do they promise such great quantity and great food when it was exactly the opposite?? Did not even feed two people. The Pumpkin pie tasted more like cinnamon and the cranberry size wasn’t even the size of my hand. How is that a family pack??Never go there again and don’t buy their family packs. Terrible advertising.

The food was okay, also my sons steak was bland, the reason for 1 stars was because I ordered coffee and guess what? the mug had lipstick on it. I had already drank some coffee too. Gross 😝 and instead of the waitress removing the mug she just left it there and brought me a to go cup so I wouldn't argue, literally those were her words!!!

First time at this location, the food was mediocre. I usually go to the one on La Cienega. I ordered the steak breakfast. Food came quick. But the steak was a different type of cut then I'm used to. It was ok. But the pancakes are bad. The sausage was bad. The service was blah. . I had to wait a long time just for my check. Will not come back. Definitely sticking to the La Cienega location.

Went to this specific Norms in El Monte 3 days this week. Food was great each time. The Calimex menu was pretty delish. Where they really shine is with their customer service, one in particular. Maria did a phenomenal job ensuring we were always full on coffee and food was prompt.

Wish I had taken photos. I ordered a pork chop and it was still pink inside. The vegetable were still cold and my baked potato was bunt/overcooked. The potato was brown inside. Server came I told her the vegetable were still cold so she went and asked for new ones. There were warm but definitely not cooked all the way through. Moved to the baked potato and it was literally brown inside and tasted burnt so I asked for mashed potatoes instead. She took the pork chop back and they cooked the same pork chop (health code violation) a little longer maybe 10 more minutes. It was still pink like a steak medium pink. Note: Party of 7 plus one other person were the only ones in at 9 at night on Tuesday 10/7/23

Ordered the breakfast tacos and was pleased with the meal. Additionally ordered a couple of pancakes and they were the best I had in a long time. Service was the best, sat down immediately, food came out promptly and my coffee was refilled constantly. Love this place.

If I could rate this location with no stars I would. Terrible, terrible experience and service. I went here for my Birthday and was allowed to take my small dog inside. The waitress wished me a Happy Birthday and I was looking forward to a nice, hot meal. Instead she didn't come back after she poured the coffee with flavored creamer as I requested. When she did return, with our food it was the wrong order and my coffee was cold already. The food was wrong and cold. I located the Mgr and asked him to come to our table to talk. I explained to him that I had eaten at norms before and my experience was nothing like this and that it was my Birthday and I picked them over other restaurants. I also mentioned that I had eaten at there before. He apologized, than told me my small dog could not be sitting on the seat. I apologized and told him the waitress didn't say anything and that I understood. Despite the fact that I didn't pay for the breakfast, it was more the service, experience and lack of knowledge by the waitress that made the experience a bad one on my Birthday.

Friendly staff, the food was acceptable, we expected for something very good but the taste was like truck food style and this is the mistake of every restaurant, theirs standards of quality are low

Had a great breakfast this with my rommie. Spontaneously wanted breakfast at 5am and decided to come here. Our waiter Jose was very attentive and informative. The food came out hot and fresh and quick. Will definitely go back again for the great morning services. Thanks

I have been going to Norms since 1963...although times change the dedicated atmosphere and service has stayed very much the same. Portions are still decent. Cost? Well, everything has gone up right? So you just need to deal with that. Overall, nice to go out every and then.

Had plenty of tables in the back, but we had to wait 15 min to get in the seat. Food portion is just adequate except too much dressing on the salad. The Food itself is just a meal, nothing special to mention. While eating, I used on-line app to order to go. But the app didnot tell me it's ready. And the funny thing is I can not accumulate the dining reward, because I already had a to-go order. (I did not add the to-go order in the reward, the system default added it in. ) Anyway, I probably won't go this restaurant anymore.

I really like their food but this pay wasn’t exactly what I expected. The taste was great but the way it looked It had been thrown into the plate and added whipped cream. AND IVE NEVER SEEN DIRTIER BATHROOMS THAN NORMS

Pretty disappointed on the New York Steak with Vegetables lots of chewyness, small portion of vegetables would not recommend to get that. Pancakes were a little on the dry side and over toasted. The only thing kids liked were the sundae. Lastly overpriced compared to Ihop and Dennys.

I ordered a lumber jack waffle plate through uber eats and someone really burned the hashbrown and thought it was okay to send like this. This is the second time this happened and it's a shame because the waffle is always amazing.

Good pancakes and delicious breakfast. The only thing was that food was simple and we have to add salt to everything but well maybe that depends of your taste.

Very attentive staff. Fast food prep. I ordered the SoCal breakfast. It was very good. The bathrooms could use a little attention to detail around the sink. Notice pic
