The pizza was fantastic, fresh brick-oven pizza. The service was terrific and the atmosphere was family friendly and relaxed. Will definitely visit again.

Cafe Italia is a small cozy pizzeria on the west side of El Paso. Stopped in just my daughter and I for a quick bite while waiting for my car to be serviced nearby. Their menu is very small, literally one page. They offer authentic Italian style tomato pie one size only for 15-17 dollars, calzones, antipasto, salads and some plain pasta dishes. The gentleman running the tiny scratch kitchen looked to be of Italian descent and the waitresses are locals. We where greeted immediately and then virtually zero customer service the rest of our meal. The pie was ridiculously greasy. They do not serve alcohol but you can bring your own wine etc at a 6 dollar cost per bottle. They offer outside seating as well but there is no cover and it is to hot for that here in the summer. There is over 200 restaurants on Mesa street so with all that completion they need to step up their game. Bottom line... go somewhere else!

Food is really over priced, especially on the weekend. Their online menu states with a pizza you'll get a side soup or salad but a restaurant employee informed me that it is only available on the weekdays. Additionally, no complimentary bread was offered. At least the pizza was high quality and had enough cheese. If I could, I would rate it 3.5 stars

Spaghetti was really good. They oven brick cook their pizza and bread and it's yummy! I really liked the bread loaf with the garlic butter. The atmosphere is nice and you can bring your own wine but be ready to pay a small fee for doing so. The menu is very minimal at the moment, not sure if it's a covid thing but that didn't affect my rating. The service was ok, our server seemed really distracted and aloof.

Café Italia is our family’s destination for celebrations. Staff is always so welcoming and kind. Tonight was no exception. Thank you for making my mother’s birthday celebration so special.

Wonderful food and terrific service. Lives up to its "bohemian" reputation with funky interior, original art and lots of laptops in use by regulars. Lattes were perfect. Avocado toast w eggs was the best I've ever had. Perfectly flavored with a side salad sporting light turmeric dressing, walnuts and strawberry slices. Hubby got eggs, bacon and toast and it came with this amazing thick sliced bread that was yummy all by itself. Eggs perfectly cooked for both of us. Bacon was melt in your mouth amazing

I brought my family of 5 to try this place for my mom's birthday (we didn't make that apparent to staff). The gals working there were good looking and were friendly but we had to grab our own seating for the table we picked since it didn't have enough chairs since some were missing. My cappuccino didn't have foam added to the top of it, even though the menu stated it would, and tasted like half milk, half coffee. The mocha my partner got tasted like a hot chocolate instead of a coffee drink. My brother got the cafe bon-bon and said it was overly bitter. Odd that a cafe wouldn't know how to make good coffee. My bread with avocado, hummus, cucumber, & tomato was absolutely delicious but the 'salad' that accompanied it did not compliment it and wasn't too my liking. The dressing is some kind of sweet mango sauce. The oatmeal my partner got had no flavor to it and it was made with water instead of with milk how the menu stated and was watery. Their meat dishes like the breakfast burger, bratwurst, and pancakes with egg & bacon are great but their coffee and vegetarian options seem to need some improving.

Wonderful environment. On date night we ordered the spaghetti and meatballs with an all meat pizza. It’s was so delicious. Perfect portions. We shared the pasta and pizza so it was a good portion. I highly recommend them. We are inside, next time we will be trying the patio;)

First time. The pepperoni pizza was great. And, where else can you go and get a large plate of fresh roasted veggies...so good! And, the chocolate pastry dessert was delicious and sized to share. We loved this restaurant!

So good! Bring your own liquor. They don't charge to open. Food is Amazing and the servers are all so nice. Best staff and food I've had in a long time. Salad big enough to share, pizza has the perfect amount of crisp yet still soft and tasty.

It's a café type of Italian restaurant, simple menu and simple taste, somehow it makes you feel like home. Especially like the lighting decorations of their patio, will look forward to dining there during summer time.

I went on a date with a beautiful woman here last Thursday. I loved it. The caprese salad was the best part of the meal. The tomatoes are grown by the owner. They also make their fresh mozzarella. I considered wearing a tracksuit to feel Italian, but I didn’t think it would be par the course. Yummy.

Super hip place. Love their food and service. I recommend the 420 fries, any brunch item, their coffee is sooo good and they do nice coffee art. Excellent customer service, happy gals!

  • 3/5 Alejandro E. 7 years ago on Google
Hipster cafe with alternative decor and modern art. Attracts a creative crowd, but for the most part they do things right. Coffee is my biggest complaint, but not a deal breaker. The breakfast menu and lunch menu are great, however. Spicy salsa and a great beer and wine selection. Gypsy is how I would describe this place in a single word. Grungy feel, but the staff has great personalities and are very sweet.

This coffee shop has a fun vibe. It's cluttered in an interesting way that keeps your eyes busy. I probably would not come here to study, but it would be a nice place to sit back and have some coffee or food with friends. The cortado was very frothy, and the coffee itself was nothing special, but it wasn't bad either. It was very neutral and balanced. If I was going for a coffee, this is the standard taste I'd expect. The staff was very friendly and talkative, and there were a lot of good food options in addition to drinks.

Love this place. Ive had their breakfast a few times and it's different but everything ive tried is great. Life tge iced chai and i loved their burger aand fries too. Tge avocado toast was great. Tge omelette with the house potatoes is very good, especially with the chorizo and ham. The breakfast sandwich with the fried egg was a dream and of course the 420 fries were delicious. I do wish they had better parking, but that is a central el paso issue, not really the restaurant's. Love the red salsa too. Order that with everything!

I remember this place when it was just opening, over 6 years ago. From the beginning it was totally my cup of tea. I knew I found my favorite hiding spot! They support local art, play awesome music and set a great vibe. Their food and drinks are delicious too. The menu is very diverse. They have meat and veggie options! They offer everything from burgers, to yellow curry with rice to bratwursts. They have an awesome beer selection too and offer fresh baked pastries. Please try this place out! I will always be a fan. Oh and you have to try their signature 4/20 fries!

Fantastic Lunch. I had spaghetti and meatballs with the house salad. The house salad was fresh with slices of apples (or pears) and roasted walnuts with a yummy dressing (a honey mustard vinaigrette). The meatballs were homemade and the sauce was nice and thick with a sprinkling of cheese on top. It really hit the spot!

We were visiting El Paso, and found this delicious little restaurant. The food is phenomenal ! I was sold on the homemade mozzarella, which is so fresh and delicious! We had a pizza and chicken Alfredo, and both were so good! We are taking food home for dinner! I highly recommend trying this restaurant !

  • 5/5 Mike Y. 4 years ago on Google
Amazing fresh mozzarella in the caprese with the freshest tomatoes and basil I've had in a while. I do not say this lightly: truly inspired bread and dough. I love eating bread of all kinds and rarely enjoy the crust of most pizzas but this was just delightful. Do yourself a favor and come here to taste true Neopolitan pizza. We come as often as we can and am never disappointed. A true staple in the greater El Paso area.

We went to the new Cafe Italia at Cimarron Market. We ordered 3 pizzas, 3 meals and one caprese salad. No complaints on the food at all! Decent service. There were 8 of us. Myself and my husband and our 6 kids. I would give the restaurant 5 stars, but I can't. I understand when restaurants add gratuity for large parties. I mean we're a large family, but to add gratuity for parties of 5 or more... seems a bit desperate. They don't disclose it verbally. You're lucky if you get to that part on the menu where it states it. I mentioned service was decent. Nothing amazing, but maybe because they assume they're getting a tip already, so why try? I'll go back, but unfortunately not with more than 4 people. We like the BYOB idea and as mentioned, food was great.

Ordered spaghetti with meatballs and sausage, $19.00 plus tip $3.00 for a total of $22.00. The spaghetti was not cooked enough the sausage was cold the only good thing was the bread. now for $22.00 at least get it right.

I would like to make a report because you and your workers didn't wear mask and even gloves in this time of the covid-19. There a new texas law signed by the Governor of Texas that is obligatory to wear mask and gloves if you wants to open your business and another things your pizza for the first time was not good, mozzarella was not fresh and dough pizza was like a gum. Please fix this mess for you8and for your business. The best pizza in town, I like the appetizers and pizzas. I reccomend it to European, if you like to have a Italian pizza, go to cafe Italia.

Amazing food. Great atmosphere. The mozzarella is delicious with the caprese salad. I did miss the drizzle of balsamic vinegar I've had at other Italian restaurants. The mushroom and cheese pizza is very rich. I definitely would order with basil and/or tomatoes added to break it up. Crust and bread was delicious though. Kids lived the spaghetti with meat sauce. Overall great experience and will definitely return if in the area.

Such a wonderful little find! We are in town for the weekend and tried this place and everything was spectacular! Service was great, and all the servers made sure you were taken care of! This is such a dying mentality and it truly makes for such a better experience! The only semi negative thing I have to say is they don't have a kids menu, so that was a little disappointing but we made it work.

  • 4/5 Leopoldo D. 1 year ago on Google
First time here, wonderful family atmosphere. The Caprese Salad is absolutely astounding! Large round sliced Mozzarella with equally large and succulently fresh and chilled tomatoes. Adorned with basil and drizzled with balsamic glaze, golden olive oil, and topped with a sprinkle of salt and pepper.  It is the perfect summer meal that you will definitely enjoy!!

  • 5/5 Mariana O. 1 year ago on Google
This place is a gem! The food was delicious, and THEY MAKE THEIR OWN MOZZARELLA!! 🤤 To start, we had the Caprese salad and the Pane Rustico, which was like a charcuterie board. The mozzarella was on point, and the tomatoes they used were so flavorful and juicy. Also, the homemade bread that came with the board was fantastic. It was dense but airy with a great flavor that complemented anything you put on it. Truly magical. For the main course, we ordered Andy's pizza and the chicken Alfredo. The crust on the pizza was Neapolitan style but substantial. The sauce in it was somehow buttery or velvety while still being so flavorful. As for the chicken Alfredo, it was bomb: super creamy, tender chicken, and freshly made. I cannot recommend this place enough. Can't wait to go back.

  • 5/5 Colin O. 1 year ago on Google
The food is always good and the atmosphere is always nice. Bring some wine and they'll open it for you and put it on ice if you'd like. Also the veggie pasta is WAY underrated. We get it every time we are there now!

  • 4/5 Daniel H. 1 year ago on Google
Family and I have come to eat here on several occasions. Food is great. Pizza is really good. They have wood fire pizza which is bomb. Prices are a bit steep, but food and service is good. The other thing to keep in mind is that parties of 5 or more a gratuity charge will be applied automatically. We were hit with it without knowing or told until the bill came. I would continue to come to eat here just be warned of the gratuity and prices.

Easily the best pizza that I’ve found in El Paso to date. Salad and pasta were also fantastic, and the service was warm and friendly as well. No kids menu, but our little guy loves pizza and was happy grabbing a couple slices from our pies. They do have high chairs for the little ones.

Delicious Italian food. First time here but I liked it so much. The restaurant is right at a valley on Mesa St. So, it is great to come here right before the sunset and enjoy your food on the porch. Also, BYOB. $10 for a bottle of wining opening service charge.

Beautiful cozy place, perfect for a date night for sure or a good relaxing time with friends. The menu is not so variable but they have good dishes. The pastas are always good and I’ve been serve fairly quick. Also, the sitting outside is very nice and outstanding from the usual. I like to go here to disconnect and unwind! Cool thing, is BYOB.

Tiny place, but pretty obviously a locals place, and the atmosphere was really comfortable. Ordered a pizza, and it came out super fast, and was absolutely delicious. The crust in particular was fantastic. Can't wait to go back and spend a little more time enjoying it! I noticed people were bringing their own wine in, and I will definitely do that next time we go!
