We read all the positive reviews but missed the one about about not being treated the same as the locals. We love supporting local economies and always look for the best local food places to try. Unfortunately, we were treated poorly as if they really did not care that we were there. In addition, the restaurant was out of queso and chicken enchiladas (as well as any plates with chicken). This was 1:00 on a Monday afternoon. I hope the owners read this review and treat the next out of towners a little more warmly.

Immediately you notice that the restaurant doesn't do well with people they are unfamiliar with. Where others were treated with respect, I was mostly ignored. I heard good things about this place, but heard it from a downtown native. If you live outside of downtown- save yourself the trip. Nothing about this restaurant is worth the drive, except maybe really bad service if you are into that sort of thing. 1/5

There's an older woman that served us and she was very rude from the beginning. The atmosphere was horrible. I definitely would not recommend this as a place to spend my money in downtown El Paso. Hands down worst service I've ever had eating in that area.

Me and my mom came to this restaurant and they had very bad service and they didn't give us tostadas they said cause they were already closing we got here at 4 and they don't close till 5... And my mom asked for a Limon for her tea and it had no juice and it was hella hard and old. The food was not that good for the price. And the waiter was being rude and disrespectful. And I had to get the Chile from the back counter cause they never gave us any and I had to ask for napkins as well. Don't even come to this restaurant they are so cheap here . The price for the food and service is not worth it. Never coming back here again!

Not traditional New Mexico food. Service was terrible. The bus boy was more attentive and polite than the waitress and the host. They were flat out rude.

DO NOT COME HERE! I would give this restaurant zero stars if I could. I went to have an early dinner with my boyfriend and his mom at 4:15, they did not give us or other customers simple tostadas and salsa and the food came out cold. The manager was our server and I was utterly disappointed with the lack of service. If they don't want customers coming in an hour before they should close at 4. It is so sad and I hope the owner sees this because it is really hard to mess up simple Mexican dishes. We went in hungry and came out unsatisfied and just displeased with how they treated my mother in law in not offering basic service. Will not be coming back, and if the owner would would like to know who was the manager in duty, we dined on 11/21/23 around 4:15pm. Just awful.

Have eaten there a few times and the food has always been good.

September 26, 2021 I ordered off door Dash an order of tamales 2 Carnitas 1 chicharrón And let me say I was impressed on how amazing the food tasted I’m from California so I’m used to Callie Mexican food and this totally taste the same as California it’s hard to find spicy food in El Paso but this place is amazing has a small menu but the food is amazing will definitely be going back or ordering again

By far the worse place I have eaten. The customer service was horrible. Older ladies had a bad attitude since we arrived. The food tasted so disgusting that we left it their. So gross.

For decades. Valentina's Restaurant has satisfied my cravings for real red enchiladas. The place isn't fancy, but the home cooked traditional Mexican food more than makes up for the lack of decor...
