I absolutely love this park. I take my little one (kitten) here to run around and exercise here. And same for me 😹 Not the most prettiest of parks but it's still great to be around. Especially if you like the mountainous views that surrounds the place

We visited yesterday evening. Would love to go back and explore more. Pup had a blast playing frisbee. Great view of the star on the scenic drive.

One mile lap challenging because it is not flat course. Park elevation allows for >180° scenic view of city. New upgrades to pool & tennis courts a big plus. Winters can be fun to. UPDATE_JUNE 2022 Panel selection committee asking area residents to join and provide input for park renovations. Please join via P&R.

Today my family rented the Memorial Park private area for a Labor Day weekend family celebration. While we had been renting the Grandville Park city shelter for over 20 years, we decided to try an outdoor venue. Although it started to rain in the early afternoon, it turned out to be a beautiful day! Our family really enjoyed the facility-- with a oversized gazebo structure for seating and private restrooms as well. While the rest of the park is plagued with tons of weeds, this private area is pretty weed-free. I don't know if we will come back on a yearly basis, but this experience will certainly favor the possibility! :-)

It is wonderful to walk through the Roses and to know that other parts of the country still have snow. The grounds are well maintained and the volunteers working are always there ready to answer questions and give you advice on growing roses.

Beautiful green space for relaxing and letting kids run around. Could have a few more picnic tables, though. Beware of the squirrel / gopher holes... They are everywhere!

❤️ Love Memorial Park its beautiful with its walking trails, trees are gorgeous, people are friendly, its clean. The only two things missing is a canopy for the swings n slides so during the summer kids can still go and not get sunburn.

One of the most beautiful park in El paso, I love it. And you will see the train if you are in the playground.

It is a beautiful place, only the visitors would have to be careful with the place, not throwing garbage or cigarette butts

My favorite park to come enjoy nature. It's a great mile park with little hidden areas with stairs in between.also a walk thru passage plus a bridge. It's surrounded by amazing trees plus historic houses in the area.plus a bit hilly in some areas. It maybe flat around yet goes up in the middle for viewing sites😅👍🌳👍😊come here every time i have a chance!

  • 5/5 Norma O. 2 years ago on Google
It looks well taken care of. It has so many hills for the kids to run up and roll down, trees to test their climbing skills, and a playground. It also has remnants of a bridge because back in the old days this bridge was over a man made lake. It would be great to have portable potties strategically spread out, but I guess that would take away from its beauty.

Pretty big park. It's not in the safest side of town but it's pretty convenient for everybody being close to the center. The grass isn't too watered but then again it's El Paso. At least there's tennis courts.

This is a really nice place. Been here several times before. This place is so big, that even when it takes a minute to find parking because of all the cars, you realize that that it isn't really crowded at all. Plus, this place is ALWAYS kept really clean. My son was taking some classes at the library they have here, so I've been there as well. Just like all the other libraries, at least the ones I've been to, It's well organized, clean, & the employees are friendly. My wife dragged me to the flower (rose) garden a while back, & I actually ended up enjoying myself. The garden really was nice. I remember being pleasantly surprised. I don't know what I was expecting, if anything at all, but it really was something. I think it was really close to the 1st day of spring. The weather was perfect, as it was March, it wasn't very windy, but there was a nice breeze, & the flowers and plants were blooming. Yes, this park is quite large, is ALWAYS kept very clean, & offers several amenities so that there's something for everyone.

I loved this park as a kid, and I'm happy to say that it mantained it's magic. It's big enough, and the best part is that it has mounds and hills, of which you don't see a lot of parks have that now a days. Perfect for pictures and events, or for a simple get together.

  • 5/5 Cara W. 2 years ago on Google
The breezes really cool this park down on a hot day. Enjoyed watching a family of hawks actually playing together.

This was a great park to hang out at while going for a walk or just relaxing under a tree. Love this park it's also very clean no trash, I would recommend anytime you are in the central el paso area.

Pretty cool spot to ride a bike or throw a frisbee. Memorial hands down is one of El Paso top parks.

  • 3/5 Just F. 2 years ago on Google
Honestly. I love the park during the day and I would want to include the night as well but with all due respect one would think with as popular as this park is they would put actual lighting for the play ground area and along the side walk throughout the park. Day and night is literally 2 different worlds. I wouldnt walk/run/take my kids there after night fall again anytime soon I can tell u that.

The scenery is beautiful. If you visit early you may see some wild life such as rabbits and squirrels. Our dogs enjoy walking the trails.

  • 5/5 Stephen T. 2 years ago on Google
Sprawling beautiful park, with a rose garden on one side (I think) and a playground on another. Good spot for a picnic as there's plenty of trees and nice grass in the summer (a little dry in the winter).

  • 5/5 Crystal A. 1 year ago on Google
Memorial park is much larger than what we initially thought! We initially went to the Municipal Rose Garden and kept driving a little further down the road. There are certainly places you have to pay for to get in but for the most part the majority of this park is FREE. There is a lovely playground for the children and grounds to stroll on with the shade of beautiful trees

  • 4/5 Lesley J. 1 year ago on Google
We went for the Children’s Day celebration and parking was tricky! The celebration was closer to the library so there was a lot of hill climbing to do. Bring a stroller or wagon for little ones and your own shade if you plan on walking a lot. The playground area is nice but it is not shaded.

The park is a great place to spend time with the kids. Inside the park are beautiful views, and jungle gym area. The library, and the pool are also in the same vicinity. One can hangout there and make a day out of the park, pool, and library.

  • 5/5 Mario M. 1 year ago on Google
It is a nice green area that is really big with plenty of room to walk your pets or play tennis on their courts. Excellent place for photo shoots.

  • 5/5 Tera C. 1 year ago on Google
Great family place. From picnic's, walks, a play area, to tennis courts, (and the pool next door at the aquatic center). It is a relaxing bit of nature within the city. (Just keep an eye for the stop signs.)

Oldest big park in El Paso has lots of rolling hills. Nice shaded areas. It's love by children and adults alike from any different reasons

  • 5/5 Alex A. 4 years ago on Google
There are hills and many shade trees, the air is fresh and smells of pine trees. My wife and I love to walk around this park and watch the squirrels. They also have a playground for the little ones. This is one of our favorite parks to visit.

Roses everywhere!!! So well maintained, walkways are clean and level, flower beds were immaculate. Good mix of sun and shade with bench seating throughout. The smell of flowers everywhere, such a.lovely way to.spend an afternoon ! Ps- no charge.

  • 4/5 Ashley L. 1 year ago on Google
Maintained pretty well, grass is decent. Need more seating areas. Would help to have dog waste disposal stations and bags throughout the park since I saw a lot of people with pets

  • 4/5 Fernando B. 11 months ago on Google
This is a nice good size park with softball fields and plenty of multi use space. Best disc golf course in the area in terms of overall design and signage. There is one big playground that is under a canopy and another smaller one with swings. Restrooms would be nice. There are only 2-3 porta potties available in a somewhat central location, but they can be far depending on where you are in the park. If the community center is open, they have nice restrooms that are maintained. A paved walking Trail encircles the park.

Love this park so much. Plenty of trees and great area to walk around. My girls love to run around and never too crowed. Has a great sidewalk around the entire park.

  • 4/5 Norma A. 3 years ago on Google
Beautiful park. Great for picnics, birthday parties, walks, and you'll normally find the ice cream truck nearby. You often see many people walking their furr babies as well. Library nearby. Inside pool and special event area you can rent. It's a great park. Also the famous rose garden across the street and a baseball field open to public.

  • 5/5 Universal Growth P. 4 years ago on Google
One of the best parks in El Paso because of the size and the secluded feeling in some parts. The plants are well maintained, the paths are long or short, and it’s next to a library so I could check out a book and walk around while reading. There is a great play area for children as well!

  • 3/5 Tony V. 3 years ago on Google
The park has a potential to be one of primer venues for El Paso, if only the city would delicate more effort to maintain it. Much is spent on other parks, how about elevating this park to what is use to be.

This Park is a great place to go for a morning or afternoon walk. Most neighbors living close to the park go and exercise there for a while everyday. It's also great for a Holliday picnic or a weekend outdoors. Just the place for a cookout. Need to get in contact with mother Nature? Just the right place.

Went to get tested for the covid and the staff there was just unbelievable, arguing amongst themselves and having us wait until 10:40 to start, when in actuality it was supposed to start at 9. We arrived at 6 am and there were already people in line. They should be ashamed of their behavior. I suggest to go to Marty Robinson on Railroad where the soldiers show so much respect and are very helpful and courteous.

  • 5/5 Axel R. 3 years ago on Google
It's one of, if not the best park in town. It's big, it's got a playground, picnic spots, hills, a small bridge and it's great to jog around, among many other things. Theres also a pool, a tennis court and I believe also a small library all right next to it.
