Looked a nice place bit they wouldn't let us in unless we were on the official guided tour. We came especially to visit the castle, we arrived about 1pm to be told the next tour in English was at 6pm!

Very interesting castle with a lot of history. The audio guide is nicely designed with fascinating facts. I wish there was a little more stories or more contents around Christopher Columbus whose main ship was prepared and funded by Santa Maria!

Beautiful relic! We liked to visit the coffee/brunch restaurant located on the side of the castle - definitely check it out. But the castle itself is a beauty to behold! Would have liked to go in , but was unable to at the time we were there

Very well restored medieval castle. Can only be seen with your guide. Wine tasting at the end of the tour.

Very well-preserved castle, one of the best I’ve been too. The interior houses some incredible decorative elements that perfectly illustrate the cultural crossover of the time. Christopher Columbus crashed here for a couple of years in one of the towers. This perfect location for a decadent episode of Game of Thrones.

Castle/Wine Tour - A great experience in El Puerto. The tour guide spoke English very well and even though it was an English tour she even took some time to briefly explain things in Spanish to my friend who was with me. It's not the largest castle but the admission includes a Sherry tasting at the end which was very enjoyable.

Nice from the outside, rather small and we couldn't get inside.

Beautifully castle and Deffo worth a visit! Download a QR reader if you haven't one already then you use this as you walk round as a guided tour via phone and in your language. Nice info points. I agree with another and feel more info around Colombus would be great given the contribution of Santa Maria. But it's a little gem of a place!

The castle is beautiful, but small. Therefore I think it’s a bit overpriced, tickets cost €8.

Sadly we couldn't visit as it was clotted by the time we found it on our last day. Nonetheless, a beautiful and impressive building for this little unassuming town. A real surprise and gem.
