I went on this trip expecting it to be great. I’ve never been on a vacation let alone an one week long one at a self claimed 5 star resort. It started off great. I found them closing the pools early weird. About two days in, I noticed the food wasn’t greatest, quite gross from my food handling experience. They throw new fresh food on top of the old, keep reheating the same tortillas, and more. I ended up being on the toilet for the rest of this trip. While getting ready to check out, my boyfriends mom finally found out why she was getting bit all trip long. Cause of bed bugs! That’s sick. And the reception did not care. Whatsoever. Just be careful where you lay your head & leave ur stuff, you don’t need to bring any critters home.

I took a holiday at this hotel between March 24 and April 1 and I must say that it was wonderful and unforgettable. people and staff were great fun and nice. I will be very happy to return to that place. I would like to warmly greet the entire staff and especially the Mr who cleaned our room at number 2079 was excellent and I wish her only the best. and I also greet the whole kitchen. cooked was fantastically

Great place, was extremely packed with local Family's so lots of children. Be careful about all you can drink, they do not measure at all so it will sneak up on you. Beach was incredible right on resort. Pool was good. Food was good all you can eat buffet was the best. I wouldn't return in July to busy with locals and hot as heck. No complaints 👌

I was extremely excited for this all inclusive as it is rated very high. It is a beautiful hotel with a nice view of the beach along with everything is clean. Staff is always cleaning everything. But just know that you will be hungry. The food is the worst food I have ever had at an all inclusive. The buffet was not good, I ate noodles everyday. The steakhouse horrible! The Italian and Asian were the two that were decent. A lot of local tourists at this resort, so coming from the U.S I was very surprised. Very limited people speak English. Wasn’t the best hotel and wouldn’t come back but had a nice time. At every other resort the staff waits on you and runs to you while here it wasn’t like that. Staff was nice but not as catering as you would like at an all inclusive.

An impressive family hotel that's kept spotlessly clean. Friendly and efficient staff. Excellent food, plenty of variety and good quality. Good entertainment, four pools and beach location. The sea is suitable for paddling but the waves make it difficult to swim and play water sports but plenty of sun loungers, which are free.

The Italian restaurant was horrible. Buffet was good need more starions. Too many people for the size of room. The service was exceptional. Everyone was very helpful, even with Hurricane approaching. As for the Hurricane, The facility handled it great. They took all necessary precautions and we were still able to enjoy We will be back

Lovely grounds well maintained nice pools, but all were very hot. You need a refreshing cool pool, especially in the very high temperatures. We did mention this, but nothing was done. It was unpleasant to go into the pool. Very good quality food in the main buffet restaurant and lovely staff. Other restaurants were of a fairly good standard, but we found it difficult to get booked into them. To be honest, it's not worth the bother. The rooms were nice and spacious, and we had a fabulous maid who did a lovely job and left some fabulous towel art every day. Although there were three of us staying, we had to request enough towels, cups, and chairs numerous times but eventually got everything we had asked for. The on-site shop is very expensive so I would give that a miss. Entertainment most nights and some of it good quality.

Just got back from a trip here with my boyfriend and I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect as it was my first time going all inclusive, but I’m so happy this was my first place! The room was amazing and so was the service. My boyfriend has a severe peanut allergy and the staff were very accommodating with this, which was amazing. The food we found at the buffet was hit or miss but it was all generally pretty good! Definitely give all the other restaurants a try as the service was quick, friendly, and the options were delicious.

Haven't been to Mexico in years, and we fell in love with it again. Definitely will be staying at any Riu resorts! Zero things to complain about...just having to leave. Food was super impressive and nobody in our family got sick one time. Great selection at the buffet, and the restaurants were equally as amazing. Great location , beautiful well kept beach. The staff were great as well. Always smiling and making sure we were happy. Can't wait to come back

Great all inclusive hotel can be noisy staff very attentive cant do enough for you room tidy and clean only complaint pillows not good enough for 5 star hotel. Food great choose from 4 restaurants and 1 big buffet restaurant on site. Alcohol all branded names to choose from if you like a tipple or two . entertainment fantastic especially white night and neon party Four pools to choose from. Beach and Pacific ocean just to die for beach vendors really respectful on beach massage,on beach horse riding,jet ski ,para sailing etc etc all at reasonable prices

The resort is on secured property. Check in was slick. The resort app is easy to use, and has all necessary information. Restaurants - easy to get a seat, food is varied and delicious, entertainment is fun, the main entertainment area is plenty big and no problem finding a place to sit. There are 4 different pools to choose from and a kiddie pool. Most of the pool deck chairs have optional sun shades. There is a swim up bar. The beach is seaweed free with lots of chaise lounges and palm trees. There is a booth to rent umbrellas or floaties. The beach access is easy, and it is clean. The a/c in the rooms work great. The hotel room we were in was spacious.

This was honestly one of the best holidays I've ever experienced! I've never done an all inclusive resort holiday before, I'm more inclined towards authentic quaint towns and self- catering holidays. So it was fair to say I had my reservations. However, the location was perfect, phenomenal views, literally 5 second walk to the beach. Service and staff were so incredibly friendly. The hotel had activities and events planned all day everyday! Food was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend staying here, don't think on it, just book it!

The food, specially at the buffet is excellent. A welcoming, super gentille and efficient staff. Hotel is huge, lots of amenities, a different show every night. Beach is good; We know pacific doesn't have the whiter sands. Water is also not that clear. Some of its 4 pools a bit too warm? Would definitely recommend for a sunny vacation.

Absolutely beautiful loaction! Staff were extremely friendly! The food was to die for, extremely fresh ingredients. The rooms are clean with the great views of the sunset. Multiple pools to pick from. Daily entertainment. I couldn't have stayed at a better resort! My fiance and I even got engaged on their beach! 11.17.23!

An absolute beautiful place, the service was excellent only a little slower during peak time but it is to be expected. Their buffet was great only lacking in a few choices but really good for the most part. If you book early you cannot beat the price for all inclusive service!! WiFi reaches ALL over the property even on the beach. The Live entertainment was very good and I wish the show times were longer. Warning if you leave the hotel be ready to drive for a while there is nothing of interest close.

Loved my stay here! The grounds were immaculate, the food was delicious, the pools were clean and never felt too busy. The shows and entertainment was so good, the staff here work so so so hard to entertain guests. Our room was nice and spacious, with an amazing view. My only complaint is that they filled the drink fridge only once in 7 days. The adjoining room had their drinks refilled a few times. Maybe a mistake, I'm not sure. But other than that little oversight, everything was perfect. I'd absolutely choose Riu Vallarta again.

Posting another review as we are at RV presently, Nov 5-19, 2023. RV didn’t disappoint us, it is simply the best hotel. Check in went smoothly. I wanted another room and they tried hard to accommodate my request. I got the room I wanted. The grounds as I mentioned in previous review are gorgeous. The food absolutely excellent- the variety, the quality and the presentation. The room - renovated a few years ago, very clean. The staff - amazing, they work hard to treat guests like royalty. My big thank you to Cynthia a front desk, Jessy at breakfast and lunch, and Omar at dinner. You are the best servers🤩 Entertainment is great too. We’ll be back many times. Thank you 😊

We stayed here 5 days. Amazing! The service is phenomenal. The whole staff was very attentive, helpful and very courteous. It has 4 big pools and a kid area. It has daily entertainment and games. There's also a kid friendly sports bar with pool tables, and Foosball tables. The rooms are big and super comfortable, and come with a mini bar with several bottles (tequila, vodka, etc) and a fridge full with water bottles, sodas and beer. Definitely recommend it!

Got married here in August 2018, stayed for a week, then came back for another week July 2022. Both times the stay has been amazing! On our most recent visit, i dropped my phone in the ocean and the staff found it on the beach for me the same day!! How amazing is that?? The place itself is beautiful, very clean. Staff is very attentive, drinks brought to us on the beach periodically but was definitely faster to walk to the bar myself. Follow up calls to the room after any request to check on our satisfaction. Very apparent this site was kid friendly from the website, (the reason we chose this resort). The food was not the best all the time, but there are definitely plenty of yummy things to eat. Would definitely stay again!

This was our second Riu property to stay in as many years. Like our earlier stay in Riu, Los Cabos, our stay here was memorable and very enjoyable. We found the staff to be very friendly, well trained and coordinated. The food in each and every outlet was great (though their attempts at mastering Asian and Indian cuisine were not up to the mark). The bars were all manned by cheerful and friendly bartenders who were extremely efficient with their concoctions. The entire property is very well maintained and tidy. The staff do a great job at keeping the property clean around the clock. I have deducted 1 star from the rooms section due to improper water pressure and inconsistent water temperature from the faucets and shower wands. Also, the bathrooms lacked desired toiletries like conditioners and lotions (which are available even in lower rated properties). Considering that Riu claims to be a 5 star property - these items should be available (and as far as I can remember, Riu, Los Cabos, did feature them).

No room service, no q-tips at the little shop. Pools are very busy here and warm . The beach is clean, but not the cleanest. So many weddings at this place, which brings huge crowds. Gets annoying. Vendors at the beach as well so bring extra spending cash. There is an ATM available... Customer service is phenomenal. Many Americans, Canadians & people from Europe. Hardly any Mexican families. I felt like I was at the east coast of Mexico. I heard mostly English and French spoken here... definitely not staying here again because of how far it is from town and I didn't feel like I was in Mexico when at the resort. I've stayed closer to town many times and it's so much better and convenient. No complaints though.
