I did a good 15 km running here. As a tourist, it’s a safe and peaceful place to run with some bikers and runners along the way. The track was perfectly done for you to follow. No complications during the run. Enjoy the greenery and the cool air πŸ‘

Gives you a quiet escape from the busyness of life. Long trails to walk or bike and plenty of parking.

Busse is my park for 20 years. I really enjoy being in "nowhere" middle if megapolice. Busse woods have 7.3 mikes paved trail. Be careful please when hiking, share trail with bikes. Lake has boating but accessible from different entrance, first on Higgins rd when coming from highway 53.

Busse Woods is a really nice forest preserve. It's especially popular in the summer months. People walk, run, and bike the paved trail, which is well maintained. It's just over 7 miles if you do the full circle. There's also a lot of picnic/BBQ areas, boating, kayaking, and fishing. There's a gated section where a small herd of elk graze. They're beautiful and fun to see.

A quiet, pleasant, familiar place, excellent for walking, breathing and admiring nature, it is also surrounded by lakes and very beautiful vegetation, with a lot of natural peace and close to the city.
