If you took note of the complaints about the rudeness of some of your reception staff, Brio would be a valuable service! The older blonde lady is a disgrace! Tutting, raising her brows and huffing at you, speaking to you like dirt! Not valuable customer service at all and worst still, you wouldn’t stand for it from us! Such a shame, the old team in the Epic were lovely! Really pulling your ratings down! North gate and christleton are lovely! You need to look into this and work on training your staff to be kind and compassionate. There are enough people out there who would love that job!

Message to Sarah on the front desk. I was considering joining brio because I have friends here but after a 5 minute conversation with you I'd rather set my money on fire. Your delusions of grandeur surprised me considering youre clearly about as educated as a wet sock, absolutely no need to speak to people like you do. You shut me down and were rude beyond belief. Your customer service was appaling and you should be ashamed of the way you speak to people I've met walls with more manners than you. I think you should consider a new job away from the general public. Maybe change your name to Karen.

Tried to call 4 times today to enquire about a membership and they didn't answer the phone once. After looking ar the reviews about reception staff and my experience today. It has put me off joining. Popped in since on the off chance. Won't be joining as they don't do a family membership. A community leisure centre that's run by the council that don't do a family membership. Just another way for CWAC to squeeze money out of its residents

It's a moderate sized gym but it has all the equipment needed. Some of the staff are lovely and some are terrible. Any account issues though even when you're membership is fully funded they'll deny access and take weeks to sort out.

I've been very disappointed by staff behaviour recently. I was getting changed in the cubicles and overhead comments by the pool staff such as "we need to re-educate these people they can't follow simple instructions" and "they're all thick" are not professional! If you think we (the customer) are not following 'simple' instructions it maybe because the rules you're referring to have not been explained to anyone but the staff! This isn't the first time I've overheard rude remarks about customers in the changing rooms by staff. Puts me off going back. I'll be putting in a complaint. Edit :since writing to the Brio centre regarding the above the manager got back to me quickly reassuring me that the issue will be dealt with. Thank you for taking your customer feedback seriously, this means alot.

If you're going for the gym - look elsewhere, for a building of it's size the actual weights/machine area is completely insufficient, the monthly cost with the bundled swimming does represent good value - just don't expect to get on anything you want to use

Great staff and great facilities. I was given a gym tour by a man named Bradley who went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable to use the gym, kindly explaining and demonstrating on how to use all of the equipment. I would highly recommend

The athletics track is the home of West-Cheshire AC. We borrowed the well equipped 6-lane running track, which is in reasonable condition, for a Deeside club session... shhh, don't tell! The rubberised surface has some give, meaning it is good for middle-distance & okay for top-end sprint speed, but can sap the energy of wheelchair-based athletes a bit. Good quality changing facilities are available in the main building by the car park. On race days, toilets are also available in the club-house by the track.

Great fun and floats session for our younger kids. Not sure why the lifeguard said our 2 year old must wear armbands last time as he's never required them before.

The gym is ok but the staff there at the desk and the managers are absolutely appalling honestly if you don’t like your job find another one instead of ruining other peoples day. I walked an hour to the gym today by myself and it was after 6pm and i’m 15 and they wouldn’t let me in and the way one of the managers spoken to me was disgusting when I was just asking calm simple questions. i’m in that gym most days at 8pm so why is a sunday different? it’s pathetic the way some people choose to portray themselves to their PAYING customers.

Great classes. Just don't like the open shared showers. Shower Cubicles would be nicer

Really friendly and helpful staff. The gym is pretty good, and the pool is full size. It's just lacking a jacuzzi, steam room, and a well run cafe with a menu and opening times

It's hard to swim every time when I am there. Only one pool for so many people and swimming lessons all the time. Not private showers...all together men, womens and children. Not enough machines in the gym, mostly young people on their mobiles sitting on machines.

Amazing! My daughter does gymnastics here and there's plenty tondo whilst I wait. The gym is good, cafe, or I could watch basketball.

Couldn't comment much on the amenities as was there to assist in local elections vote counting in the huge sports hall. Nice little Costa near the entrance.

I absolutely love Ellesmere Port Sports Village! It's a top-notch facility with something for everyone. The gym is well-equipped, the swimming pool is clean and inviting, and the sports courts are in excellent condition. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. It's a fantastic place to stay active and enjoy a variety of sports and fitness activities. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great sports and leisure facility in the area!

I used to come here until I had to leave because i moved to Manchester. Since then i have joined Virgin Active so I’d thought I’d do a review to discuss the pros and cons of Brio. Pros: - It’s more affordable compared to what i pay at Virgin - it’s open nice and early in the morning - Pool is a decent size - Gym is a good size - The centre itself is big and provides a lot for the surrounding areas - I like the radio on whilst swimming that they provide Cons: - Needs a steam room and Sauna in the swimming facilities. It would’ve made a massive difference because since i joined Virgin it’s something I can’t do without after a big workout - Equipment is outdated, Technogym is probably the best equipment in the industry. - Hair dryers need improving, I don’t know if anything has changed since but when I was there it was just a hair dryer with a pipe attached. Proper hair dryers are needed. But other than that, it did me good and I appreciate the friendly staff there.

Went as an away supporter for the Cheshire Phoenix V Bristol Flyers basketball game. Good result for the flyers in the pre season warm up. The place itself is clean enough and the staff friendly. The seats are plastic and sitting for over an hour does get uncomfortable, I would recommend a seat cushion.

I have NEVER known any place like Brio Leisure that is simply not capable of answering the jolly phone for enquiries about on the day departures from their own published schedules!!! Every time it's the same - either at E. Port or Northgate Arena "We are experiencing a high volume of calls ..." - no you never, ever are - yet you rarely ever - almost NEVER - pick up the phone. Why is that????? It is, most frankly, ABJECT customer and paying MEMBER service. Utterly abject!

Good facilities but the cafe is a rip off, especially chocolate. £1.50 for a small Twix and no prices on any of them. You only find out when they have been scanned.

Reception was rude and obnoxious, not sure if she’s hard of hearing or just pretending not to hear. Rudely took my photo because according to her she didn’t want anyone else using it! Lady has some stereotype going on and seems not to want a certain people there.

Is kept really clean, loads of classes to do. Big swimming pool. Gym OK could do with a few more machines. Gym too busy to use normally, very few times when you can do the work out you want to do.

  • 5/5 Fiona S. 2 years ago on Google
My "happy place" for sure. Just cabt wait for everything to get back to normal. Ots a nightmare banging I to everyone crammed into lane swims 🏊‍♂️. The staff are great and life guards very attentive to their eolea and always at hand when you are in need even just to ask advice.

My opinion is average the place, because isn't very enjoyable to be there when there is a Basketball matches, and you do other disciplines such as Badminton. In fact is very noisy the place and isn't easy to concentrate if you do another deport as mentioned before.

Home of Cheshire Phoenix basketball - good sports centre venue with facilities to match (incl. toilets). Not great for food & drinks but there are some basic options and vending machines.

I'm a local. This place is an enigma. The swimming pool isn't really big enough to be used for competitive swimming nor is it any fun for use as a family swimming venue. The changing rooms are good and very modern, shared space and well thought out. The gym is small but well equipped. The car park is too small during busy periods.

Can't believe some of these reviews. Joined the Brio group to use the gyms in the area. First time at this one and the staff were beyond helpful. Gym is small but great and some of the equipment is new even to an old gym goer like me. Thanks in particular to the young staff member who showed me where to go etc. Very good staff.... Maybe you get what you give?

EPSV has good facilities and good management. I find the monthly subscription good value for money. The swimming pool is good and reasonably clean. The water temperature is kept at 29.1 or slightly higher. However, only two staff members have smiled at me. I would have given 5 stars if the staff were more welcoming.

Pools cold, even the baby pool sent my 2 year old blue in 10 mins and he had to get out..such a waste of money! There is always a member of staff that is incredibly rude and insulting. When I was pregnant she shouted "EGG!!!!!!" at me and pointed from the other end of the pool! She also made my eldest terrified of water at th swim a song session. Only went once as he wouldn't get in a bth after she kept pulling him under the water at 9 months old. I avoid going there for swimmingat all costs

Great swimming facilities for adults with young kids, separate heated pool and dedicated sessions with floats/water toys provided including lots of guards on duty. Not expensive at all with free parking.

Place is great, but they need to change the music in there because it's depressingly unmotivating. Like who wants to listen to Miley Cyrus while deadlifting 150kg, jus put a Spotify gym playlist on its way better and it changes the songs every week

Had a great time watching the basketball game here. Great atmosphere although not the most comfortable seats we've sat in

My son attends regularly for wheelchair basketball. The staff are always cheerful, considerate and helpful. Great atmosphere, modern, clean and spacious.

When I arrived to pick my child up from the basketball game phoenix vs Patriots I was appalled at the member of staff shouting at my child and his friends at the top of her voice who were just sitting waiting to be picked up need to employ staff who know how to work with children rest assured I approached her and told her not to speak to my child like that. My child enjoys these events through his school but if happens again will make a formal complaint.

UPDATE...Managed to finally get in, during a lane swim which was nice, however even though it says lane swim, over half the pool was not lane swimming, it was kids lessons which meant the lanes filled up quickly and became quite cramped. might be nice to have a full lane swim at some times. Rest of the place was nice, clean, easy to navigate and plenty of lockers. I've put 2 because it's classed as dislike, rather than hate. My question is, is the pool even accessible? I've come here 4 times now, asked reception and every time they've said the pool is closed, or closed until this time or in use for trainings/events. Even when I've checked online and the timetable just says lane swim. And there is also 2 more signs up in there advising there is more pool closures this week and next.

Great venue for gym swimming and classes. Fairly new so always feels clean and fresh compared to some of the other centres
