Ohhh myyy goodness! I am sooooo grateful that I found my way to Elmhurst Hospital for my surgery. This hospital from beginning to end was by far the best hospital and most importantly the best staff from the greeters at the front door, to the doctors, nurses, CNA's, housekeeping, and techs. Every staff member was just sooo careing and if I could've rated this hospital higher ... I DEFINITELY would've. I wish everyone nothing but good health but if you find out that you or a loved one find themselves in need of medical intervention/attention and you are at Elmhurst Hospital ... Rest assured, they/you are in good hands!

Best hospital ever! It's beautiful. Plus it has the most amazing cafeteria! Delicious food at very reasonable prices. I go out of my way to eat here when I can. $3.75 for a fantastic turkey hamburger. They have a Starbucks here too. Plus if you choke on anything they have a ER right down the hall!

Outstanding facility and hospital. Every one involved in my care was compassionate, efficient, professional and proficient. All doctors and nurses took their time and listened to me and any concerns I had, never felt rushed. The facility is very clean and well kept. Could not ask for more in a hospital.

I had a kidney ablation for a tumor on my left kidney last week. My experience from beginning to end was horrific! To start, when the nurse was going to put a needle in my hand, I told her she had to use a baby fine needle since my veins collapse and she replied...oh no, your veins are fine. Well, my vein collapsed and I have bruising that will take a month to heal. Ready for the procedure room but no anesthesiologist. Waiting over one hr. and when he finally came in and I asked where he was, he said no one told him to had to be here. I was told to get onto the procedure table from the cot by myself and to roll onto my side. As I did that, my face landed on what may have been a very hard oxygen mask which hurt and I now have a large bruise on my chin. When in the room, the food table was so sticky my arm stuck to the side of it and the TV had no sound. I could go on and on but will never have another procedure done at this hospital. Central DuPage Hosp. is by far the best of them all!

I will admit I was skeptical delivering here because of old reviews but my experience at Elmhurst was amazing. Dr.Page and her team of doctors are all very kind and super informative. Seriously Dr.Page you put together a perfect team! I was admitted into L&D 4/18 due to low amniotic fluid. Every nurse I had was great. They encouraged me to get moving to help with delivery. They were at no point pushy and I’m thankful they encouraged movement because it definitely helped. Dr.Page was the doctor working the night I delivered. I can not thank her enough for being so kind and caring. I am so lucky she was working that night it was just an overall amazing experience with her. Now to the one particular travel nurse who’s last night at Elmhurst was the night I delivered…Elizabeth I don’t think you will ever know how grateful I am to have had you by my side during one of the most important moments of my life. When I said I couldn’t you looked me in my eyes and said “I promise you can do this.” You seriously are the perfect example of what every nurse should be. I literally burst into tears whenever I think of how amazing you were to me and my partner. Thank you I hope you are enjoying Hawaii and I pray to one day cross your path again!

I recently had a c-section at Elmhurst Hospital and it was a great experience. All of the nurses were amazing, especially my night nurse Jessica. She gave me really helpful tips for breastfeeding and I swear is the reason my baby is doing so well at home now. The rooms are also spacious and comfortable. Definitely recommend this hospital if you are expecting!

I have never had a more caring experience than I did at my first visit with Dr.Kim. I expressed my concerns for an ultrasound and she listened to everything I said And made me feel valid. She saw with my concerns were about and had an ultrasound scheduled for me right away. I didn’t even have to leave the hospital. There was such a clear line of communication. As I was waiting for my results they came into my chart. I smoothly transitioned from one location of the hospital to the next. Everyone was so helpful and informative. I really felt like they cared about my well-being. I have a phone follow up scheduled for tomorrow and I already know that’s going to be a breeze as well.

I gave birth to my son at this hospital. Overall, I had a REALLY great experience. Dr. Ghia delivered my son. She didn't have a great bedside manner and decided to give me pitocin and break my water even though I was progressing quickly on my own. She also didn't believe that I could feel her stitching me up and looked annoyed when my nurse spoke up and said she needed to use more lidocaine to re-numb me. Thankfully that was the only negative part of my experience there. The nurse that took care of me while I was laboring (her name was Daria), she was absolutely AMAZING and the reason I still rated them 5 stars. She was so supportive, spoke up for me when I needed her to, and did everything possible to keep me comfortable. She held my hand as I cried and talked me through my contractions. I can't say enough good things about her, she really made my labor and delivery experience a positive one. The rest of the nurses on the postpartum side were great too, and very helpful. The food there is good, much better than most hospital food. The hospital staff was great with my baby as well. I also need to mention the specialist that placed my line (I believe his name was Edwin). I have horrible veins and he was able to use the ultrasound machine to get the line in on the first try. That NEVER happens. I also had a quick ultrasound to check the baby, and it was performed by Brandwein and she was so sweet. I highly recommend this hospital for any of your health care needs, but especially for labor and delivery.

I have spent over 195 days in the last 1.5 yrs at Elmhurst as an inpatient stay. Yes, all ER's are difficult. People need to get over that. They must prioritize each patient on a case by case basis. I have had both hips replaced, Sternum fixed, appendectomy, Nissan Fundoplication, Spinal Fusion, over 30 MRI's under General Anesthesia, and I'm treated extremely well by the entire staff with a few exceptions, but all in all, outstanding facility, even better medical professionals. BEST ANESTHESIOLOGIST/Pain Docs around. God Bless.

Barbara was one of the best nurses I've ever had. Cheerful, professional, thoughtful and careful. The staff was efficient and for the most part excellent. The bed unfortunately was horrible and my back, which hasn't hurt me in some time, was very painful the whole time I was there.

02/02/2023 EMERGENCY LABOR & DELIVERY I had a regular pregnancy check up with my OBGYN in westchester when he suddenly says “go to the nearest emergency room your blood pressure is to high” panicked & alone, I rushed out and came straight to Elmhurst Hospital (I’ve been here before) that was 5 minutes away. I walk in the Emergency Department and say “ My OBGYN told me to come, my blood pressure is too high and I’m 34 weeks pregnant” RAPIDLY a very wonderful male nurse wheeled me all the way to TRIAGE to further check my hbp. I was then greeted by another wonderful nurse and she stated that I wouldn’t be able to leave and quickly got a room in Labor & Delivery. Needless to say my blood pressure was at 185 I was put on magnesium to get my blood pressure under control. I was all alone, scared and worried about my baby. I got 3 wonderful nurses assigned to be Mikayla, Syndney & Daria. They made me feel safe, genuinely cared for me, and made me feel extremely comfortable. I stayed the night and around 6am I was assigned a OBGYN it was time for me to get induced and have a premature baby due to preeclampsia. I gave birth within 8 hours! The baby came so fast my husband missed the birth, I only got to hold my baby for 5 minutes then baby went straight to the NICU. Mids of all the chaos the nurses never left my side through the labor or delivery. Despite being alone the labor and delivery was such a wonderful and amazing experience. The epidural experience 10/10 no pain, easy and successful! all because there was amazing nurses and doctors who truly CARE for their patients. Clean, organized, big rooms and very comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend giving birth here.

Went into labor the nurses were awesome. However someone messed up the time on when my baby was born. When we mentioned it to the nurse that brought out paperwork she looked at us like we were wrong and to accept what’s on the paperwork. My husband had to tell her he wanted to talk whoever was in charge, and that’s when she went and got it fixed. Another thing I didn’t like was the fact that when they take a baby’s bath they don’t do it front of you they just tell you that they are taking the baby to bathed them. Lastly when we asked if we could get discharged early they told us yes and would be out by early afternoon. Time passed and they kept changing the time. We didn’t get out till 9pm and at that point we would have just stayed another night. I would really like to give it a 5 star but it honestly depends on the nurses you get during the whole experience.

My stay at Elmhurst Hospital was similar to staying in a 4-Star Hotel. The nurses and doctors were very accommodating and made sure I was well taken care of. I enjoyed every minute of my stay there. Emily was one of my nurses and she was amazing and very caring. Great Job! To the staff and the cleanliness of the hospital. Don't change a thing, you're doing an outstanding job.

For the most part I give it a high 2 only because there are goid Nurses and Doctors. My issue is with 2 areas. 1.) Scheduling since Covid to see my doctor its always atleast 4-5 weeks out. 2.) I was Billed for a second urine test The first was contaiminated by mishandling by the collection staff. My insurance didnt cover it even though the doctor ordered it due to the issue i paid half until it was advised not to. Billing has been non responsive yo my requests to remove the billing. Even though it was there error now they have me for a 100.00 collection.

I went to Elmhurst Hospital Emergency room after an accident I was involved in. It was late Saturday but they got me in very quickly. Turned out my injury required I be admitted. I stayed at the hospital for 2days and the nurses and nurse assistants were excellent. Especially want to mention the great care I received from the overnight RN Roger. All Required tests were done when scheduled and the doctors on staff came in regularly to keep me posted on results. Never want to be injured but if it happens, the care at Elmhurst Edwards is excellent.

There are four sadistic nurses I am aware of at this hospital. Three of which I know their names. These nurses are right out of what you would see at death camps. Tortuous. Threatening. Goose stepping. These individuals have no business around sick people. They are dangerous. The State of Illinois will receive reports on these individuals and hopefully their licenses will be revoked. I recommended that anyone who suspects abuse by a nurse IMMEDIATELY call 911. The patient, especially, may be in immediate danger. There's also a nurse in critical care who sadistically tells the patients and their loved ones without doctor and nurse supervisor approval that the patients are going to hospice and to be prepared. This nurse should be prosecuted for emotional assault and immediately be removed and her license revoked. Pure emotional assault on patients and loved ones. She has no authority to make hospice decisions for patients. That is up to doctors, patients and loved ones.

Shame on you 5th floor Jenny K.. guess she’s the manager? From what I had to ask..Happened few weeks ago but still rubbed me very wrong.. To talk down in front of your nurses and staff in front of members. Apparently when giving updates on patients if a family member asks to talk to the nurse and techs on what’s going on you will reprimand them in front of family members? When I was the one who asked to speak outside of the room about my mother’s condition. Seeing the near tears in the techs eyes had me so upset. You have no right being a manager and need to learn your place of respect. Don’t care how high up you are you pull your staff aside if you have something you need to say to them. Not in a hallway where others can hear you! Poor nurses. My mother didn’t even speak English so having people in the room made it more confusing for her as it was in her state of mind. Staff wonderful on that floor but managing??….. something got to change cause that’s just so not right. No wonder there’s such a short staff in hospital cause people like Jenny (don’t know last name besides K or C I believe). Hope she gets written up in front of everyone see how embarrassing it can be the other way around.

My stay at Elmhust hospital was exceptional. First, all the doctors, nurses and ancillary works were very kind in their care. They were always "at the ready" to help. They are very responsive to their patients needs. The hospital is beautifully decorated, is very clean and comfortable. They even have a pull-out couch in the room for a spouse or family member. The food was great too. It was the best experience in all the hospitals I've been at in this area!

If you need to have something done....this is a wonderful facility. All the staff, seriously did not meet one I didn't like, were so friendly, courteous and calm. The food was good, it's still hospital food where they watch salt, fat etc. but wow! such a selection and really nice options. You can ask for extra salt, butter etc. I'm sure if you wanted. Even my guest could order a meal and eat with me at a very reasonable cost - all delivered to the room. I would not hesitate to pick this place again for a procedure. But let's hope I don't! :)

I was four days at Elmhurst Hospital as an inpatient. I call it the spa! The atmosphere is peaceful and calming. I had a lovely painting of flowers on the wall in my room and I enjoyed watching changing skies from the great big window. Each new doctor I met was patient and kind. The physical care technicians were on the spot if I needed something. Best of all, the wonderful nursing staff who tended me maintained top level care and consideration from the first to the twelfth hour of their shifts. I wish I could bring that crew home with me! I would never go anywhere else for care.

This is a beautiful hospital campus. The nurses and staff are wonderful and caring. I have been there twice and was well cared for both times. The ER is a bit hectic and back-logged, but that is to be expected and varies with the time of day. The food served in the rooms is excellent - restaurant quality meals and a nice variety.

Had outpatient surgery here a week ago. I was very happy with the whole experience and especially the nursing team who assisted me throughout the day. Very patient and kind and answered all my questions, even the probably dumb ones. A nurse who wasn't specifically assigned to me even came over and helped adjust my crutches. Hospital was clean and felt in good hands.

I had knee replacement surgery at EMH. The intake and nursing staff were great. Every nurse I had was kind, thoughtful, and helped me feel at ease. I was not happy with the anesthesiologist who did my nerve block. She just about ran into the prep area, coffee and purse tossed into my bedside table, and started roping open her materials and tossing them in my lap. She gave me no notice the shot would hurt and to breathe through it. After my initial gel, a nurse came over and held my hand and helped me through it. The OR staff was wonderful. The nurse there calmed me through the epidural. From recovery to the visit with PT and OT everyone was again wonderful.

I recently underwent a surgical procedure at Elmhurst Hospital and I was really impressed with this facility. The building itself is quite beautiful as are the well-tended grounds which surround it. The interior is very well appointed and immaculately clean. All of the staff members who attended to me - - from patient intake, to attending nurses and doctors, and to patient transport as well, were friendly, helpful and very, very considerate. This is an outstanding hospital!

The most disgusting hospital I've ever seen. Doctors that think it's ok to "practice" medicine in that environment need to switch careers. Filthy rooms like that are not safe especially in flu season.

I had my daughter here June 2022. The staff was great, the nurses were caring and informative. I had a rough experience at another hospital with my first child. The food was pretty good, especially for a hospital. The birthing room was spacious and my postpartum room was perfect for me and my husband. If I were to have anymore children I definitely would have them here.

The entire hospital experience was amazing, I mean every step of the way amazing! I honestly can say I can not find any flaw with any part of my experience, from the receptionist when I checked in, to the wonderful nurse who personally wheel-chaired me to my waiting ride! The anesthesiologist was extremely thorough and fully explained every step of the procedures I was to encounter that he would be either performing or overseeing. The surgeon was also extremely thorough, fully explaining everything, and they both answered every possible question I had so I was at complete ease when I was wheeled into the operating room. Elmhurst Hospital absolutely crushed it! I recommend this hospital comfortably to anyone who needs to have surgeries done.

Delivered my baby here Nov ‘23 under the best care. Nurses and all staff were absolutely lovely, very kind and caring. The amenities were also very clean, comfortable and made the stay great. I was under the care of the midwives department and could not recommend them enough.

I was admitted to Elmhurst hospital for an emergency procedure and ended up spending 5 days there. Besides a long wait in the ER, once I was admitted, I found the care to be excellent. My only issue was that with the night staff, I requested sleep medication twice on one night and once on another and the nurse never came by with it. The call was acknowledged but she was either too busy or elsewhere. Otherwise it was a good stay and the care and the room were also quite good. Food service was also good - even for my limited diet.

I have shifted most of my care to Edwards-Elmhurst Hospital. I am so pleasantly surprised at how well organized & welcoming all staff were. All eager to help and respond professionally. I have met my new internist, Diana Anton. I have had labs & CT scans. Dr. Anton has been very on top of my care in a very mindful and thoughtful way. All the staff and the doctor always act as though to help patients with health care is their goal. I am so happy to be cared for such a responsive, knowledgeable group of health professionals. Bravo!!

I took a patient to Elmhurst Hospital for shoulder surgery Everyone was very friendly and helpful we actually left home at eight and home by five it’s a 45 minute drive from my home and stopped for medicine on the way home!!!! The anesthesiologist was very good at making the patient comfortable but woke easily so recovery was less time consuming and the nurse Kathy in recovery phase two was wonderful took time to explain the release and home care slowly and made sure understood I was going to put a sling on and off the patient which she helped me learn twice This day surgery was a good experience even gave you a free beverage at the cafeteria!! Waiting area had private room for personal phone calls hopefully I never need them but if we do know it will be comfortable Thank you to all the staff

The nurses at this hospital are just great no problem at all. Anytime I want something I have to do is ring my buzzer. I really like coming here except that I have to get sick to do it. I love the attention I guess. I want to thank specifically the nurse Kristen, she was absolutely fantastic. Thank you all and I’ll probably see you again, but not too soon. Frank J Miller👍

ALL of the staff were so helpful and considerate at all times from checkin through hospital care and discharge. The medical staff answered questions and helped make me as comfortable as possible throughout the surgery and recovery. The food was very very good and always arrived hot or cold as it was supposed to be. I highly recommend Elmhurst Hospital.

The hospital is pretty and clean. The surgeon and his team were great. But, doctor's orders were not followed and I got sent home a day early which caused a lot of stress and juggling of schedules. The physical therapist said I was ready to go home and I didn't realize that her credentials could override a surgeon's orders. I would not want to do physical therapy at this hospital but everything else was good.

Check In was quick and efficient. Surgery went as scheduled. Access by family was outstanding. Discharge the next day was not coordinated well as one of the entities dis not make entry in computer so it was delayed by about 2 hours from expectation, but efficient after missed entry rectified.

This experience was not good. I felt as the doctors and especially the nurses were not attentive to my needs. I have been to Elmhurst in the past and the staff was great. This time appropriate testing wasn’t done. Nurses barely came in to check even with the call light. Also the nurses wasn’t as friendly and previous times. I won’t be coming back. Thanks.

Valet was slow and didn't seem like they wanted to acknowledge my daughter waiting for them to park the car. The greeter was very polite and gave directions on where we needed to go. Once there the receptionist and registration ladies were very polite. My nurses were amazing and informative of my procedure and getting me ready. Slight delay in time which was okay I know the doctor is busy but once the Doctor Ivy arrived he stopped in to check on me and went over the procedure with me again. The Anastasia doctor was a little rough when doing my IV, I know he was bothered because my IV collapsed in my arm and he had to move it to my foot but he could of been more gentle because that area hurts the worst when placing an IV. My recovery nurse was amazing and when I moved to the area for discharge the nurse was informative and went over my release papers page by page and made sure I understand everything. My overall experience was great I just didn't care for the anastesologist which is why I gave 4 stars.

The emergency room wait while I was in extreme pain took 8 hours before I was admitted. The doctors and nurses are the best and caring.. My surgeon and other doctors were excellent in my care and treatment. This is an excellent hospital and has the best state of the art equipment. I was well attended and appreciated having such great care while I was there.

I was hospitalized at Elmhurst Hospital for emergency surgery and antibiotic treatment for a Staph infection. My 4-day stay was as positive as possible. This was the first time I was at Elmhurst Hospital, I needed to have an MRI. The checking staff was cordial and helpful. They were very informative and told me what to expect. The technicians and doctors that worked with me we’re very thoughtful about my comfort and guide me through the whole process. It was effortless on my part, they did all the work. I definitely would use Elmhurst Hospital for my next MRI.

I was hospitalized due to AFib. I was moved from the ER to an overflow area since the hospital was full. The care I received from the nursing staff was excellent. They were all “floaters,” but they were the best of the best. The one thing I noticed about the overflow area is the lack of housekeeping services. I was a patient for 4 days. The garbage in my room was more than full by day 2. One of my nurses had to dispose of the garbage since no one from housekeeping came by. Day 3 housekeeping showed up and only emptied garbage. No other cleaning was done. My nurse called housekeeping to come clean my room. The floor was mopped and the bathroom bowls were finally cleaned. On day 4 only garbage was collected. Especially during COVID and flu season, these overflow rooms should be thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis by housekeeping. The nurses and PCT’s are busy enough and should not have to take out garbage.

I found my surgery experience at Elmhurst Hospital to be wonderful. I was kept informed at every step. I found the staff very responsive to my questions and needs. The room and bed were very comfortable in a very spacious room to accommodate visitors. Even the food was tasty with very speedy delivery. I was glad that I chose this hospital for this surgery.

I had knee replacement surgery and spent one night due to other medical factors. The nursing staff was extremely attentive. They were not rushed. The surgeon, anesthesiologist and nurses listened to my concerns and offered options. The overnight observation rooms after surgery were small, had no windows and no comfortable place for my husband to fully recline to sleep. It served the purpose but was about half the size of the other patient rooms. The staff’s gracious assistance along with freshly prepared and quickly delivered meals made up for inconveniences because of size. One major downside of the room was the size and configuration of the bathroom. My walker barely fit inside the bathroom. It was awkward to maneuver getting from the commode to the sink. This is the one thing I suggest the hospital’s facility managers consider changing. A+ to the entire staff!

Nursing staff and emergency room staff were very kind and helpful to all of my needs Only issue was I was told I would be discharged around 5:30 and wasn’t released until 8:00pm and then had continual issues trying to send my prescriptions to the proper locations and both locations were out of the medicine I needed. It would be nice if they could of at least sent me home with enough medication to make it through the night so that I could go fill it the following day

I was recently admitted to the hospital with stomach issues, and they did an excellent job. The doctors, nurses and PCTs were very kind to me. Also very responsive, I did not have to wait for anything. Special shout out to PCT Marylou, but all were great and I feel much better.

Went for 2 MRIs. They were on time, the technologist was a very nice guy, explained everything as it went along. I really dislike being in a tube but he gave me a bulb to squeeze if I needed to cough or freaked out, then he could stop the test and restart when I was ready. I felt better having that control and all went well. Thank you Sir, I’m sorry I don’t have your name, for making this a good experience.

I couldn’t have been treated more professionally, efficiently and kindly than at Edwards-Elmhurst. I had outpatient surgery and stayed for one night for observation. The team of doctors were informative and comforting. The nursing staff and food were amazing! Amanda, Austin and Bianca were beyond caring. They practically attended to my needs before I even knew I needed them. I almost hated to leave, they took such good care of me. If you have to be in the hospital, this is the one to go to.

The staff was incredibly helpful, went above and beyond. I wear oxygen, but even though I do, my lung situation is such that I still have difficulty when I'm mobile. The staff was right there offering a wheelchair, taking me where I needed to go, helpful and friendly every step of the way. It made a CT visit much less stressful...thank you!

I went in to get my right hip injected for arthritis. The service was outstanding and excellent from the doctor , Dr Morrissey, to the nurse, Megan. Both very pleasant, professional and friendly. I loved them. They talked me through the whole procedure and calmed my fears as I never had it done before. I was in and out within a hour. I am extremely happy with this hospital and its Doctors and Nurses. Overall, Excellent!

Elmhurst Hospital -Main Campus is just like a five star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ hotel. From the moment I got there, with my husband, everyone we interacted with was so positive and friendly. I was there for outpatient surgery. My husband and I would HIGHLY recommend this facility. I was put at ease because you can well imagine the anxiety I was feeling. Keep up the amazing work!

My stay with Elmhurst hospital was A+ rating for me since the first day of my OB visit down to the much awaited day of delivery. The staffs were all accommodating and the process went on like a breeze. I felt anxious at first but nonetheless from the well equipped and competent members of the healthcare team who took care of me had delivered a sense of assurance and safety all through out the process. I appreciate everyone and I and my family are so blessed and thankful to each one of them from the OB group headed by Dr Freeman down to my colleague nurses namely Olivia, Sarah the triage nurse to Janet the OR nurse to Cassie, Amy and Sue the floor nurses who took care of me so dearly and provided an optimum and holistic care for me plus the other non clinical staffs who had worked for my well being as well. Making recovery fast and easy. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart our hearts. I was in good hands and my baby all along. I did not made a mistake choosing DULY and the Elmhurst Hospital. More power!
