Great wine shop and hangout. Ideal location to sit down, enjoy wine. Our favorite: grab some wine, enjoy the atmosphere, and order in food from a neighboring restaurant. Amazing place.

Tannins has been near and dear to my heart since 2006-7... Many dates and even my bachelorette party there!! We just celebrated our anniversary there with some midday wine, cheese, and chocolate!! Thank you to the staff for direction and suggestions on items. Delicious as always!!

Outstanding service! I ordered 2 gift baskets for a work event. They were put together with so much care. One of the employees even took the extra step to help me to my car with them. Thank you all so much!

Came for trivia on Tuesday night! Atmosphere is cute, and intimate— very welcoming. Staff is very friendly! Our bartender was Catie. She was attentive and knowledgeable about the food and drinks offered. We had a couple beers, and some goat cheese. Delish! I will be back.

Service was great! The wine recomendation very good, not sweet and the right amount of tangy for an enjoyable lunch with a sweet friend.

Very small space, but the wine, food, and service make up for it. Jim was our server and you could tell he was busy, but that did not stop him from taking his time with us and making amazing suggestions on food options. He was so fun and amazing. This will definitely become a regular spot for us.

Came here on a Monday evening for some wine tasting. The staff was friendly and attentive. Provided good recommendations for drinks, even convincing us to try their cold fashioned, which was amazing.

Tannins is by far the best place to grab a drink in Elmhurst. The beer & wine selection is amazing and they also make a mean cocktail. I recently rented it out for my wives 40th birthday party and it was perfect. They did the food themselves and it was a great set up with a table in the back for the food and desserts. We had 40 guests and it was plenty of room for us, and they allowed us to have a musician play music for us as well. The owners are great and very easy to work with. I highly recommend Tannins for a party or just a great place to grab a drink in Elmhurst.

We just had a party at Tannins on a Saturday afternoon for 25 people, and everyone had the best time! We had a beautiful charcuterie board and selected several bottles of wine to serve. Mike and Yvonne kept everyone’s glass filled, and made all of our friends feel so welcomed. It was perfect in every way!

My friends and I had a late lunch at Tannins yesterday. I had to write the review right away - LOVED our server Jim. I have been to Tannins many times. I really like the atmosphere and always feel welcomed by the staff. Jim gave us some great recommendations on cheese and meat. we appreciated his knowledge of Tannins assortment. Another wonderful time at Tannins.

I walked in here around 6:30pm asking about issues with my reservation and the white male at the door told me “ there’s nothing I can do, we’re going to be busy after 7:30pm” as a customer I wouldn’t want to spend my hard earned money here with employees like that. I ended up just buying 2 wine bottles to go.

Very comfortable, quaint atmosphere! They offer great entertainment on the weekends. Best of all, the owners know how to treat their guests well. A perfect spot to sit and enjoy or purchase some lovely wine !! JOIN THE WINE CLUB or give it as a gift!! You will try wines from all over the world!!

When I walked in here, I did not feel welcome. No one greeted me but the girl with the curly hair at the bar. I heard her get yelled at by a girl with the green hair saying why did she seat us (hearing that didn’t make us feel welcome once again) The girl with the green hair took care of us after & she came off very aggressive while doing so. She gave vibes that we weren’t welcomed & needed to go. Will not come back after this experience. Drinks could be made better also.

When I first walked in, I wasn't greeted or looked at. We felt ignored. It wasn't until I asked the only nice girl with curly hair asked if we could sit down that we were attended. Then everything was bad service after that. An older girl with green hair said "Jesus Christ" when she looked at my ID picture and said we have to make sure we leave at 7:30 due to a reservation which I understand completely, but as someone who works in customer service, there are nice ways of approaching people. Next, our drinks were 90% ice & it wasn't even full to the top. So bad, I saw them treating entering customers bad as well. The vibe here was terrible 🥱🥱 the one star is for the sweet girl who kept getting yelled at by the girl in green hair

This wine bar is for ANYONE! Amazing wine, cocktails, beer, cheese plates, chocolate… all with a family feel. We LOVE this spot. Great for date night, girls night, or private events. We cannot recommend them enough!

We had a lovely time at Tannins Wine Bar. The wine selection was fantastic (in the bottled area) and the appetizers were yummy. It's a great place to hang with a small ground of friends. My only (small) suggestion is to have a more varied tasting menu by the glass with a few more unique selections beyond California. I would have liked to try more wines while I was there, but ended up with a bottle selection becuase the by-the-glass selections weren't anything too special. 2-3 *special* selections that I can get by the glass would be much appreciated!
