Horrible, frustrating encounter with Primary Care who do not care about your well being- especially if you are a woman! At 35 weeks pregnant they refused to take my blood pressure as a precaution unless they billed my insurance! The male doctors have dismissed and belittled my feminine health concerns over the years among other red flags, but I kept letting it go, thinking I don't want to cause a bigger problem, they know better. Today however, was an extremely frustrating encounter! As a precaution at 35 weeks pregnant, my OB Dr. suggested I take my blood pressure at a local Walgreens/Jewel/pharmacy or at my doctor's office. After not finding a blood pressure machine nearby I went to my doctors' office. They refused to take my blood pressure because the "doctor was gone for the day" "I need an appointment for B/P" "all staff and nurses are busy" were some of the first excuses front desk gave me. After asking to speak to the Manager Marge Love & explaining my blood pressure reading was a precaution suggestion by my OB to take weekly, she suggested "I make an appointment because they could not spare not even 1 minute to take my blood pressure unless it was on the schedule" and that "the doctor does not see pregnant patients". After a very heated discussion with her and with 4-5 other associates who decided to gain up on me (over 20 minutes) and explaining once again it was just a blood pressure reading, they decided they can accommodate a B/P reading with the doctor who miraculously was now available and in the office- they would however be charging my insurance as a visit. I was really hoping my doctor and the staff would be able to accommodate a 35 week pregnant patient by simply sparing 1 minute to take her b/p. I agreed if my B/P was high I had no problem making an appointment/seeing the doctor. They still wouldn't however take my b/p, wasted 45 mins of my time arguing why they couldn't spare 1 minute, had 5 other staff members gain up on me! At the end, they took my B/P and are charging my insurance as a health visit. I told the manager I was very disappointed with their service and I would be sharing my review with my work colleagues, google and social media. She told me "considering we took the B/P for you, is that something you need to do?" I will never step foot in that office again! Oh and despite them frustrating me and causing a huge scenario- my B/P was within normal range!

On my first visit to this clinic, Primary Care Associates Berwyn, Dr. Destani was a no show 45 minutes past the appointment time with no word from staff. I consulted the front desk who informed me that he would likely be available in 20 minutes. I cancelled the appointment and left. Update to owner's response: No-showing for 45 minutes past appointment time (or presumably ~65 minutes if I had continued to wait), in this case without any staff, much less the doctor themselves, dropping by to update me on the status of the appointment, isn't really a justifiable practice for any business, including medical practices. Your statements: "However, there are some appointments that require a bit more time," doesn't acknowledge any sort of responsibility, and "We are sorry to hear you were not happy with your experience" is the stereotypical non-apology shifting the focus from your staff and / or Dr. Destani's professional conduct to my "feelings." This review is intended for others shopping for a primary care physician, but if it wasn't clear from my original message, I won't be pursuing business with your group going forward, and I encourage those shopping for medical care to consider other options if available. Beyond my main grievance, there are a couple of other issues regarding the visual presentation of the office that set off red flags for me. First, a sign visible to customers, but presumably aimed at front desk administrative staff along the lines of "You don't have to be crazy to work here, we'll train you." The immediate purpose seemed to convey that management has a sense of humor, yet it is specifically gallows humor about office conditions and employer-employee relations. Second, the layout of the offices is loft-style, no ceilings, air ducts exposed, etc. The main walls are red brick, and the examination rooms are sparse and cramped, with room for an examination bed, one chair and nothing else. To me, it exuded an assembly line aesthetic under the plausible deniability of urban chic.

I Have had such great health care provided at Primary Care. I am a nurse and I have been working with Dr Hseih as a partner in my care for many years. I can always be seen on the same day by one of his partners if something emergent is going on. They are all great physicians.

I've been coming here for years. Dr. Hsieh is the best! He's very thorough, friendly, and knowledgeable. I've seen some of the other doctors here too when I need to come in for a quick issue. They are great as well! As for scheduling, I can usually get in same day if needed. The new online scheduling is the best because I can really look at my calendar and plan the best day and time easier. I also appreciate that referrals are done so quickly and medication refills. I like the patient portal to get in touch with my doctor if needed and I receive a timely response. Thank you! Keep up the good work everyone!

Unprofessionalism and disrespect! I have been waiting for the laboratory results for 7 days. After several calls I was informed that the results were ready, but I could not get them without doctor's approval. Also, I got info that doctor will call me to the end of the day. I've be by waiting for a response for 3 days and still no one has contacted me.

I have been going to Primary Care Associates since 2008. I have seen several of the doctors over the years, but primarily see Dr. Hsieh. I have a great rapport with him. He's very thorough and has the ability to explain things clearly and understandably without condescension. He will request bloodwork to assist his diagnosis along with his own knowledge and ability. He is not hesitant to refer me to a specialist if necessary. I have the utmost confidence in Dr Hsieh.

Great reception experience, short wait time. Dr. Momin was excellent. She took just the right amount of time with me to meet my needs and provided excellent follow-up with my specialist referrals and portal comments.

I’ve been with Primary Care since 1996. Dr. Brad wainer has been my doctor. There are six other staff physicians and I’ve seen them all over the years. They take things seriously but they’re not over baring. They use the approach of, first thing’s first. I’m grateful foe every thing they have done for me and my family. Five stars is not enough.

I have frequently visited this place. The very best is Dr. Hsieh! He is really attentive, cordial, and informed. When I need to come in for a fast issue, I've also seen some of the other doctors here. They are also fantastic! If necessary, I can typically schedule an appointment on the same day. The new online scheduling is the greatest since it makes it easy for me to arrange the best day and time by actually looking at my calendar. I also value how promptly prescription refills and referrals are handled. I appreciate that the patient portal allows me to quickly contact my doctor in case I have any questions. I'm grateful. Everyone, keep up the wonderful work!

From the first phone call to the last text messages for prescription I was treated by all very professional and the process of getting service was fantastic! In my opinion Doctor Michael Gershberg is one of the very best anyone could hope to have as their primary physician!

Primary care associates is a great place for the entire family. The staff and physicians care about the patients whole health. You represent a person more than just an insurance claim.

I have been a patient of Dr. Wainer at Primary Care Associates starting in my teenage years through adulthood. I have always been extremely pleased with my care from Dr. Wainer. Dr. Wainer is a very caring, intelligent physician who takes time to listen to his patients and their medical concerns. I would highly, highly recommend Dr. Wainer to others!! I have also appreciated the care I have received from Dr. Wainer's nurses and other staff at Primary Care Associates.

Very efficient office and very rarely rarely if ever more than a five minute wait to see appointment with a doctor. Doctors are pleasant and very patient and thorough. I have recommended them to many of my friends. Dr. Weiner has been my primary physician for over 20 years. They also have a separate area for blood draws that is also very efficient. I believe they take all insurance policies available today . I have them as my HMO provider and any specialist referred to see has been excellent. They have a medical staff that is qualified to treat infants all the way to seniors. New parking area directly across the street from the office. Makes it easy to reach anytime of the day. Within two blocks of MacNeal Hospital if needed.

Dr. Brad is a true gem 💎 and one of the last generation of good doctors. I’ve known him since the 90’s and he’s treated my closest family members and friends with same level of compassionate care throughout the years. He ACTUALLY listens to his patients, a RARE quality in most doctors today. I don’t particularly like going to doctors in general due to cattle treatment they often display (get ‘em in, get ‘em out) without actually addressing any of your concerns, especially to new patients. But I will always keep going to Dr. Brad until he retires (which hopefully won’t be for MANY years to come 😆) All caregivers at Primary Care Associates are wonderful, starting from the front desk to the back of the house! We are very grateful to have such outstanding healthcare in our community 😊

From the first call I made to schedule an appointment, I was treated with friendliness over the phone. I was in need of a new PCP after my foot surgery. I was assigned to Dr. Destani. I couldn’t have been more surprised at how at ease he made me feel. Amazing communication and I felt he cared about me and his passion for his profession!!!! Everyone that I talked to that day was super duper friendly. I loved the atmosphere, not to mention the loft motif!!!! I, 100% recommend Primary Care Associates of Berwyn!!!

I highly recommend! Dr Brad Wainer and his assistant got me in and out in a timely manner…so appreciated when life is always so crazy busy! But while they did move things along, Dr Brad Wainer did spend the needed time to hear my issues and address them. He is a great balance of professional and caring!!!

One of the last practices with true GPs. Your not just a patient number, you are a person here. I have been going to PCA for many years now and the entire group of doctors here are down to earth, human, compassionate, and understanding. This practice sets the gold standard in my eyes for how doctors should act. Being a multi doctor group, it is nice because if one is not available and you do have an issue, you generally can see another doctor that tend to take the same methodology and mindset as the rest.

We've been going to this practice for over 20 years and once you get to know them and be honest when asked questions you'll find you'll have a good experience at each and every visit. Don't be afraid to ask questions because this practice will give more than the answers to help you with your particular situation.

Primary care doctors and staff have been a bleeding to me and my family. Dr. Hsieh and Dr. Weiss who are our primary doctors know all 5 of us and on a personal level. They listen to us, they care for us, and they always give us the best treatments. We love them!

I have numerous health issues and Dr Wainer is always there to help me when needed. On the rare occasion he's not in or to booked up his staff will get me in to see one of the other doctors. Dr Wainer explains things in a manner I can understand which I appreciate. Primary care is top of the line.

My son Evander is a patient at Primary Care Associates and has been all 8 months of his life. His very first visit was with Dr. Destani for a newborn check up and he was very warm and welcoming. We had decided prior to we would bids want Dr. Weiss as our sons primary pediatrician but we thank Dr. Destani for his help. Dr. Lori Weiss is INCREDIBLE with him, not to mention she is so kind and patient with me and my 1,002 questions. I am also a patient of Dr. Momin who is so sweet I recommended her to my sister who now sees her as well, as she makes the visit feel comfortable and gives off a calm, kind reassurance. Dr. Wainer was the on call dr one night when I called after hours and he was calm, collected and also kind when I needed help. Overall, I can confidently say all the Drs here are so nice and helpful. I can’t wait for my son to grow up with the best care.

For the last 10 years I have enjoyed exceptional care from my Primary Care Doctor. It is comforting that if my primary Doctor is not available that there is always a team of Doctors who are available to see me. I am never alone.

Almost two years ago I had to find a new primary doctor after being a patient for almost 17 years. Mine who owned his own practice passed away. What a difficult task researching and trying to make a decision. After much thought my decision was Primary Care Associates and still a bit skeptical if they would ever be as good as my last doctor. What a great choice I made! My Dr (Dr Wainer) has been the best. I have found a doctor that listens, actually reads my charts, explains things well and is truly concerned about my well being. The office is beautiful and clean plus the staff has always been kind and helpful. Highly recommended!
