Reason for the 1 star on room is due to safety issue and cleanliness. The carpet was sticky. I suggest, making sure the windows are shut and secured in each room. In on the 4th floor and our window was cracked open. My son who is 3 yrs old, loves to climb up on chairs and hide behind curtains at home. If my son would have climbed from the chair in the room, onto the a/c unit, he would have fallen 4 stories, to his death. I'm beside myself right now and just hugging my son tight. Ill be sure to inform management and owners. Someone will surely lose a child, if this goes unresolved. After I finally got to sleep, around 130am, I jumped up out of bed at 530 to the sound of a woman and a man arguing. Right after that, the police showed up, 3 officers, to arrest the guy for trespassing. He kept screaming that he was having an anxiety attack and yelling at the officers to take the cuffs off. Eventually the police officers took the man downstairs. They should have taken him downstairs before the screaming and yelling even started. Lack of professionalism to say the least. I informed the desk and she agreed with me on the windows. They are a huge liability and someone will die from falling out one of them. I did not get offered a comp or refund. It was the worst stay at a hotel, I've ever had. And I've slept with cockroaches.

We had the misfortune of being given a poorly cleaned room and the bathroom door stuck. Impression that the furniture and electrical appliances are very old and cleanliness there has not existed for a long time. The next day I got an apple from the breakfast restaurant and it looked like it had been there for months it was so wilted. And general cleanliness was not the best. need to improve this issue because it was pretty disgusting.

Here's how this visit went for me : First the check-in lady was very nice, but she called me after midnight in my room when I was trying to settle in because my card didn't go through. I had to swipe an updated card. Then, my information from my previous stay was way outdated. She said she'd update my info. It kind of annoyed me due to the time of night it happened, but whatever. Stuff happens. But then around 1 am, the fire alarm went off! I was about to go outside, but the alarm stopped after a bit. Again, stuff happens and I thought Ok, maybe I will be able to sleep now? I did finally fall asleep at some point somehow only to be woken up by housekeeping knocking very loudly at my door at 8:20 am when check out time isn't until 11 am! Housekeeping left, then a guy at the front desk called me shortly after saying he heard I had been smoking!? (I haven't ever smoked in my life! ) I thought that was over but then Housekeeping knocked loudly again and it was still before check out time! At that point, I quickly got my stuff and went to check out, where I found my information still wasn't updated in the system and the front desk worker got it updated supposedly but I have already decided I won't go back to this location when I'm in the area again. It was too stressful to stay here for me.

The sketch factor is high here. Over grown landscaping, deferred maintenance and horrible room conditions. Paint was peeling from the wall and the bathtub, there were dead bed bugs in the pleats of the lamp shade, and a dead stink bug on the wall. The bedding was even worse. The pillows were lumpy, the sheets were scratchy, and the blankets thin. My window was partially open and several light bulbs were missing. My headboard looked like it had been run over by a truck. My door did not close all the way and I had to wedge a room key in just to keep the light out around the door jam. When I asked the front desk why the conditions, she was embarrassed and speechless. She was however the highlight of the stay!

The hotel was clean and well kept. The rate was very reasonable and the staff was friendly and attentive. The room was a little dated (perfectly acceptable for the price range) but was very clean and accommodating. Bathroom was very clean, good water pressure and hot water. The breakfast was better than other hotels I've stayed at and the woman taking care of the food did a great job of keeping it stocked and fresh, while consistently wiping down other people's mess. For a budget stay, you can't go wrong.

We had a good experience here. The price was right, breakfast was included. Good tasting food. The room was clean. No complaints. For those who are sensitive sleepers, I would recommend earplugs. We could hear the highway. However, we usually sleep with a bit of a noise maker and it didn't keep us up.

We were only in this hotel for 12 or so hours. Honestly, this was the worst hotel we've ever stayed at. The room was extremely dirty and gross. If we could give a 0 star, we would. The only highlight was the very friendly lady that worked the afternoon/evening shift...but NOT the morning staff...they were miserable human beings. The room was dark, dirty and just plain disgusting. The sheets were thinner than paper and didn't feel or smell clean. I grabbed blankets from our car to use in their place. There was a huge dust build up on the tables and chairs. The tiles from the front entry way into the bathroom floor looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages and had a sticky residue all over them. We do NOT recommend this hotel for even the most tired of people. Seriously, sleep in your car.

The room was dirty. The carpet has never been cleaned. It doesn't look like they vacuum. There is dirt everywhere. The doors slam n make lots of noise in yhe morning. The bathtub faucet does t work properly at all. It was disgusting. Couldn't wait to leave. Front staff was friendly but the maid service doesn't exist. . CLEAN UP YOUR ACT.

Staff was very wonderful, I especially liked the breakfast staff who were very courteous and fun. Our room was spacious aside from the bathroom, but that's typical so I don't worry about it, though the sink and counter was very nice. They even had REAL towels, not those little hand towel-sized things most hotels give! I think it should advertise the old church right across the road from it, because that was a delightful surprise and if you're someone who likes history it's a great place to check out respectfully (I wasn't able to because the days got too cold, but my mother loved it). You can even go through an old gate, though the way is steep and not kept up. A convenience store is right at the end of the road, within walking distance, and that was great for just grabbing some drinks and snacks whenever we wanted, especially since Dayton traffic is so chaotic that walking seems more preferable.

Got there late had to wait about 10 mins for a person to check me in and my room was gross the bathtub shower didn't work at all and there was stains on the floors what looked liked blood. Would have hated to use a black light in that room. Would never stay there again for the $70 you're better off staying somewhere else

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Our group landed here after a bad experience in another hotel and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The hotel is very clean, the breakfast is great too. They have a meeting room that can be used for meetings or you can bring in catering and use it to feed a group. Everyone in the staff was so nice and very professional. We will be coming back next year!

Horrible … rooms are dirty elevators dirty …..I wouldn’t stay here period . I’m a trucker and opted to sleep in my truck . It’s embarrassing that the best western is selling rooms in these conditions. Everything is outdated and room smell like sour armpits . When I checked in my room was dirty and I turned around and left immediately. Do not stay here just find another place . Oh and the continental breakfast is just cereal and waffles 😒…. False advertisement on the eggs and other stuff

Didn't get much sleep. Constant noise in the halls with people having a gathering or a meeting, or something. Then woken early by the neighboring room having a conversation omon what I think was their cell. Very thin walls. Breakfast wasn't as advertised. You could get an apple, coffee, waffles, or a muffin. Thats it. It was no where near what I am used to with Best Western, which I use frequently and pretty loyally. I'll not use this location again. Nearly forgot, could feel the metal springs in the bed.

I don't know how to start describing this place and management. Their breakfast was great, but their manager acted so unprofessional on my check out day. According to my booking, checkout was supposed to be 11am. At exactly 1013am someone starring banging on my door and screaming checkout checkout, I ran to open the door and it was their manager! I won't lodge in this hotel again! Even their facility look is outdated.

Ended up at this hotel due to the WInter Storm Elliot fiasco that hit the midwest just before XMAS, every state hit except Indiana and Ohio cleaned their roads but alas Ohio roads were so bad I had no choice but to pull over for the night. This hotel was nicer than I expected. Most Best Western Hotels have been really sliding, the name hasn't been synonymous with quality in a long time and a lot of dumps take on that name or Ramada now... but this location... nice. The bed was so comfortable, the room clean and spacious. The shower nice full blast pressure and the breakfast was great, I stay at a lot of Marriott properties so you get a nice breakfast when at a Residence Inn, this was better than that breakfast and it made me call up Marriott (I am a titanium elite member) and told them they need to step up their game. Consider they charge about $50 more per room than BW+ Anyway, you'll like this location, but be warned if visiting during an ice storm you may have issues getting up the hill to the hotel. Something I recommend, installing vending machines that take credit cards, maybe open a small market in the hotel itself. It was kind of pain to not be able to get a drink from the vending machine since I only carry plastic. Otherwise keep the friendly staff, comfy beds and good breakfast going and change nothing else.

Yeah, this place was gross. We waited over ten minutes for someone to check us in, the meanwhile got unpleasant company. We check in and the first room we got was god awful, and they claimed it was “freshly painted”, Iv lived in construction my whole life- that wasn’t paint. Do NOT even get me started on how unclean the place was. (Okay, you got me started. There was crumbs of whatever everywhere in the elevators- BOTH elevators. The hallways were the same way. Lobby was so so, cleaner then the rest of the place. Outside, the dumpster gate was open and trash was just loose everywhere- gross. The shower head was yellow, but worked fine.) The second room was okay. The toilet was messed up and kept flooding. They were in the midst of fixing that problem, that was okay. The staff, meh. The last lady was super nice. You need to get a professional deep clean in this place.

On the negative side: Curtains did NOTHING to block out the blaring light from outside. There was a leak from the ceiling in the lobby. And the cleanliness of the room was questionable, and had very obviously bad touch-ups. However, I cannot fault this too much because I overheard a worker say they were understaffed. On the positive side: We were allowed to check in earlier than expected. And the breakfast was better than average. AND HANDS DOWN THE BEST SAUSAGE GRAVY AND BISCUITS EVER!!! I ate them all 3 days in a row. And the rooms were cheaper on average than most rooms in our search area.

First off, from the second we got there the staff was very rude. We got settled into our room from traveling all day and the room was absolutely disgusting and filled with spiders and other bugs. We told the front desk and they gave us a room on the second floor. They proceeded to come back to our room as we are packing up to move rooms and tell us we can’t stay on the 2nd floor anymore due to having a pet so they put us in another room with bugs on the first floor. They told us there’s nothing they can do about the bugs/cleanliness of the room so we left. Went to another hotel and wow no bugs. Wouldn’t recommend. Terrible staff, and even worse customer service.

Came for a quick night stay. Rooms along with the bathroom were all pretty clean. The breakfast buffet was really good. We had a wonderful woman helping us out and taking care of us with our meals. Definitely a place to consider.

We stayed here for 5 nights. The room was clean and had all the items needed, soap, lotion, shampoo, even makeup remover. Plenty of towels & washcloths. And the Breakfast area was kept as stocked as possible and very clean. Good selection of food. They even had gluten free cereals, and took the time to check if other hot foods were gluten free. Valencia was so special, what a pleasure to come down and have breakfast! I’m sorry I didn’t get the other hostess the beginning of the week was nice also(I don’t want to leave her out). Nigel was a whirlwind all over the motel! Everyone was so helpful and extra friendly!
