Amidst Zika forest this is a very nice and cosy place. Though a bit expensive as there are many better options near the lake, though this is a different setting. Very tasty food and clean and very nicely maintained compound. Security is good.

No air conditioning, but great place. Quiet, they greeted me in parking area upon arrival and helped to my wonderful room with nice kitchen. Super friendly. Meals cooked to order brought to my room, even free breakfast was cooked to order. Great.

This week I spent one night at Kisubi Forest Cottages, in a quiet back road that's two minutes from Entebbe Road. There are six rooms and one family cottage. Each room is very spacious. All are ensuite. My large room had a small kitchen and self-contained bathroom with shower. There was plenty of hot water. Other rooms have a larger bathroom with bath and shower, rather than having a kitchen area. Each room has a TV. There is a small well-kept garden which had been booked for a party. The dining area has an open fireplace. I arrived mid afternoon and had whole fried tilapia with chips. It was excellent. Service was good throughout my stay. The cottages are ideal for families or groups of friends who want to hire the whole place for a weekend, to celebrate a small function, for example. The local rate for a double room is 200k ugx per night and includes a generous breakfast of fruit, toast / bread, tea / coffee, pancakes or eggs. It's also a convenient location for visitors who want to go bird watching in Zika Forest. The cottages are under new management and I look forward to revisiting very soon. #diaryofamuzungu #EastAfricaTravelDirectory
