Nice resort style hotel with a lovely pool and outdoor bar. There is a restaurant across the street with seating etc to enjoy the lake views. Service is good and staff are helpful and speak good English. WiFi is strong at the reception/bar area. Breakfasts are buffet style and fine. Tea/coffee is available all day. There is safe parking too. Walkable distance to Victoria Mall and restaurants close by.

Nice place. Food looked good. We just had drinks. Beer 8000. Our friend ate and said it was above average prices, as was the beer. It's on the lakeside so you're paying for location.

Nice spot by the lakefront, breezy, chilled. Decent experience for a first time visit. Service was decent, and the Tilapia Fried Fish tasty and large. We had to take away.

Very beautiful place to be. The food is very delicious, especially pork rib and beefsteak. Maybe the shop is the best shop in the place.

Could not recommend this place enough. It was the perfect arrival for our trip in Uganda. Only 10 minutes or less from the airport with a convenient shuttle you can arrange. Right next to the beach with restaurants and shops, but don’t miss out on their delicious dinner menu either! The staff go above and beyond in their helpfulness. Patrick was very helpful in arranging Covid tests and contacting our guide when we needed something. Great places to lounge throughout the property with a fully stocked bar to enjoy!!

Nice and comfortable... service very slow, not a place to go to if you are very hungry, fish was very big but very pricy, the washrooms are across the road but very clean. The man at the gate was strict about sanitizing and checking temperature..

Fantastic spot. Right across from the water. There restaurant is right on the water with the most gorgeous view of the lake! Friendly, welcoming staff that are willing to help you. Called us a cab and helped set up where we should go. Excellent service! Rooms are small but have a nice balcony where you get visits from the blue velvet monkeys!

We stayed here on the first night of our honeymoon and we are so pleased we did. Picked up from airport and had a complimentary drink on arrival, wonderful and friendly staff and they had scattered rose petals across the bedroom which was a lovely surprise and made us feel really special. Delicious dinner and breakfast, I would only stay here if I visit Entebbe again.

I stayed here for new years weekend. I had a great time. This hotel is in a great location. Complimentary breakfast was delicious (your egg order, bacon, potatoes, fruit, crepes) The hotel also has a restaurant, I ate a burger and chips one night and Carbonera pasta another. The food and staff there were 10/10. The hotel also has a lot of lounge areas outside, including a pool. I would stay here again.

It is a good place to sit by the waters and enjoy a cool breeze. The service was a bit slow but when the food came, it was really tasty - we had fish and pork ribs. I recommend the pork ribs, they really tasted delicious. Next time I will try their fish too. The toilets are not immediately near but were very clean. It is a place I would visit frequently if I lived nearby.

Talapia fish with lemon grass was very delicious- 5 stars for this. But the Food did take forever to come out even though it was very empty. Nice few of the lake. We sat upstairs with a nice intimate alcove. I paid card which was nice but no receipt. The Hawaiian pizza was ok - don’t expect real pizza but good

What a gem! Stayed @2Friends after a 10 day safari thru Uganda, it was such a welcome respite! Gracious staff, clean rooms and a great pool area nestled on Lake Victoria with a restaurant and bar right on the shore. I can't say enough about Patrick and the rest of the staff, they truly define hospitality.

The ambiance is incredible. Sitting and having lunch by Lake Victoria is amazing. The staff works hard, but they seem to be understaffed. It takes a VERY LONG TIME to get your food. But the scenery makes up for it a bit. There are also several restaurants along Lake Victoria, so it gets super festive, lively, and fun. If you're a westerner and you are trying to venture out into vacationing in Africa, Uganda is 100% where to start. You'll feel very comfortable. Also, 2 Friends was started and owned by two Americans.

Friendly hotel just across from the beach on lake Victoria where their beach restaurant and bar are. Spacious rooms with a/c and ensuite. Our room had a few of the lake. 10 minute walk to the Victoria Mall which has a range of shops and a supermarket

  • 2/5 Neil C. 1 year ago on Google
surprisingly basic hotel for such high prices The pool area is absolutely tiny like a childs paddling pool. Its in quite a noisy area at a busy roundabout facing onto a series of beach bars and the rooms aren't very well sound proofed. The beach bar was an absolute disaster we waited 45 minutes on a cocktail and 90 minutes for food which was some of the driest chicken ive ever had the misfortune to eat. ordered another cocktail but this took over an hour to arrive so we eventually cancelled it because we wanted to go to bed breakfast is a very basic buffet. a/c worked, shower pressure is good and there is a free airport transfer. you would be better off a via via, best western or for a little more money the Boma.

We had one night here before starting our safari. It's a nice hotel. The staff is friendly, you'll get a welcome drink on arrival. The rooms are nice size, they have mosquito nets. Our only problem was the water pressure, it was literally non-existent, barely a trickle of water. We forgot our phone chargers in the room, but they kept it for us to get it later. The breakfast is basic, if you are vegan there is not much you can find besides fruits, avo and toast. There isn't any cut of veggies (although later we saw that it's not the norm anywhere). Lake Victoria is right at the back of the hotel, it's worth to walk down there to have a look. Not to swim as we we told that the lake has bilharzia.

I like the place yet I always just passed it. The space is a bit small but really cozy, wonderful and the staff are very warm and smart. The beach bar is well designed for you to enjoy the beach waves and breeze.

Great place located in Entebbe Facts about Entebbe town Entebbe is found on the northern section of Lake Victoria – the largest lake in Africa. Entebbe has a population of about 70,000 people. In the Luganda language, the word “e tebbe” means to sit on a chair. The town was named Entebbe because it was where the local Baganda chiefs sat to resolve legal cases. Entebbe has Uganda’s largest and only international airport. Because of that, most visits to Uganda start and end in Entebbe. Entebbe is home to the official residence and office of the head of state. It is therefore the main center of power One of the Tarzan movies was shot at the Entebbe botanical gardens. Entebbe is one of Uganda’s best birding destinations. The botanical gardens and Mabamba swamp are the first places a birder should check out while on a birding tour in Uganda. Entebbe town has the oldest golf course in Uganda and East Africa. It was established as early as 1900. Entebbe has some of the most amazing beaches in Uganda and the world when you factor in the amazing Ssese islands. Entebbe became famous in July 1976 when a team of Israeli commandos stormed the airport and rescued over 100 hostages (mainly Jews) who had been kidnapped while on board an Air France jet. The Ugandan dictator Idi Amin supported the hijackers. To reach Entebbe town from the airport, you will need to hire an airport taxi for about $10. While in town, there are three modes of transport – by boda boda, special hire or public minibuses. Getting decent accommodation in Entebbe for long term use is not easy and can be quiet expensive. This is partly because of the large UN personnel living and working in the town.

A wonderful and relaxed stay in Entebbe. The team were very helpful and accommodating. Special thanks to Patrick for making sure our last day in Entebbe went smoothly. The beach bar is also a great spot to have a nice meal and watch the birds and fisherman.

Nice hotel, with good building and rooms. Also the pool was good. Nice breakfast and good service. They have a bar just in front of the hotel and by the Victoria Lake, that s very good, the only point is that the prices of the meals are high.

Very quaint guest house on the edge of Victoria lake. Rooms have all the essentials, a small bar on property but the bar on the lakeside makes up for it

My room was comfy and clean. Staff were friendly and attentive. Opt for the breakfast! It was delicious. The best part of 2 Friends was the beautiful courtyard. It's also in a perfect location (right on the shore of Lake Victoria, near the Botanical Garden, close to the Victoria Mall, which has an ATM and a grocery store.) I arranged to have them pick me up from the airport; it was seamless.

Customer service amazing Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was to my liking variety. Had snacks and dinner which were tasty. I didn't have a booking but with no notice was accommodated which was a relief as I had checked out of another hotel booked on line but couldn't hack it. Was the Easter weekend was restful. Last night there was a beachfront concert which was noisy.....downside as blasted when I just needed rest. Would visit again definitely as I enjoyed my stay and was looked after. Nice little gem 💎 in Entebbe.

The beach is great but some of liquors served drinks are not genuine. Stick to beer. Staff require a lot of training in customer service and product knowledge.

We enjoyed our stay last month. Our tour company in Kampala arranged our booking for this hotel. The staff was really friendly and helpful when we arrived past midnight after our flight got delayed for 2 hours from Kigali, Rwanda. We did have a small room during our first night because we were the last ones to arrive and honestly, it wasn't an issue since there was only the 2 of us and we literally only got to spend about 5 hours in the room before leaving for a flight to Kisoro later. On our second stay after coming back from Kisoro, we were the first to arrive that day and they gave a huge suite on the second floor! It was a welcomed "upgrade", having come back from the strenuous gorilla tracking hike at Bwindi. We did get to spend a whole day the second time around and enjoyed the view of the lake from our spacious balcony. The hotel is very close to Lake Victoria and it we felt really secure during our stay. The food on site was excellent, the pool is a little bit on the small side but it is clean and inviting. They offer a shuttle service to the airport, just let them know what time your flight departs the day before. The area where the hotel is located loses power from time to time; we happen to check in when the power was not back up yet (and they were giving their generator a break after running for about 72 hrs straight) but it wasn't really a big deal as we enjoyed lounging around at their bar. Power came back on about 1 hour after we arrived and it fluctuated every now and then until the evening.

It is a lovely place near Lake Victoria. They have local and international food. They also prepare fresh cocktails and have a solid assortment of beers. The view onto lake Victoria is amazing and it is perfect for a quiet evening before a flight or just to relax Check the cushions up on the deck for an even better view and time to relax.
