I just wanted to share a bad experience we had at Mark Tuckey yesterday. We have purchased from them before, and we do like their style, but this experience left us most likely never wanting to shop here again. What happened was that my mother asked a lady sitting behind the counter, on the computer, about a bed, and, as apparently she didn't work there (which was very confusing), another gentleman answered. My mother then asked another question on the other bed on display, and the gentleman responded, a little curtly, that he was busy with another customer. In this case, he should never have answered in the first place as my mother's intention was not to disturb another customer. Shortly after, we heard a laugh from the desk area between the gentleman and the lady in question, and both my sister and I felt the same thing...just an uncomfortable feeling that perhaps someone was laughing at my mother. Regardless, we inquired about this and they assured us it actually them sharing a joke that everyone thinks the lady works at the store (duh - if you sit bit behind the computer anyone would assume as such). Further I find it strange that they could share this joke when the man was still dealing with his customer and could not answer a really quick question for my mother earlier. After the gentleman had finished with his customer, I had a word with him, and told him that in customer service you have to be very careful how you can be perceived, even if nothing bad was intended. To say the least, he wasn't the least bit apologetic, and said we could 'go round in circles'. If any of my staff at my business ever treated a customer like this, and not made them feel welcome and valued at a very basic level, I would be horrified. Never shopping here again, and just wanted to share our experience.

The best thing about Mark Tuckey is the building the store resides in. Some of the furniture lacked anything original in design or craftsmanship, with the wood quality questionable. The beds looked as if built by an amateur so lacked value - henceforth extremely over priced. Only the dining chairs appeared to be qualiy material and craftsmanship but lacked any originality in design. Overpriced, dull and uninspiring furniture.

I have the pleasure of dealing with the Mark Tuckey team, I recently purchased eight black oak chairs. The order went in on Friday they arrived Today( Tuesday) a turn around of 2 working days, remarkably quick . The delivery team were pleasant efficient and in constant communication. The level of professionalism from all involved ( A very big thank you to ‘RESIDENT AVENUE’ ) , went above and beyond . I had some very unique and difficult styling issues, the chairs are perfect met a very unique brief. I’m very happy to highly recommend Mark Tuckey and Resident Avenue.

I've been purchasing beautiful locally made quality furniture from Mark Tuckey for over 25 years (harking back to Ancient Mode days) and still love and use every piece I've ever bought - they just get better with age. A quick shout out to to say a big thank you to the team for my most recent purchase, a lovely "Tripod Lite Table" for my home office. Dave in the showroom was incredibly helpful ensuring we got the timber tones and finish just right for the space. I received it on Saturday and it’s a stunner. Beautifully made and the finish/tones of the timber are perfect – just what I was after. Special bonus, even the lovely delivery team was polite and efficient Seamless service from start to finish and a great product to treasure for a lifetime - happy days!

Beware - plinth sofas crack!! Quality of wood and glue used is questionable - particularly for the price tag paid. Mark Tuckey replaced our first sofa when a crack appeared but then refused to repair or replace our second sofa when the same crack appeared. Customer service was woeful, aggressive, dismissive and dishonest - particularly in light of the fact that Mark Tuckey initially promised to repair the crack but then never carried through with the repair. The crack is unsightly and certainly not what you would expect from a brand that charges good $$$ for these sofas. Very disappointing and would certainly not buy from Mark Tuckey again.

The Mark Tuckey team hand make high quality Australian furniture. We contracted them to make a family dining room table for a beach house and they did an outstanding job. Good things come with the time it took, they navigated the complexities of COVID-19 with professionalism and communicated well on the journey. Even the delivery went smooth. We highly recommend them!

Large range of designer, hand made, wooden furniture. The factory outlet in Thornbury is great with a good selection of furniture to see and very knowledgeable, helpful staff. Parking down the street in the factory carpark next door. Most pieces are customizable and can be ordered in multiple woods and sizes. Furniture can be made to order if you have a specific design idea. Went there to buy an amazing dinning table we had been looking at for ages and ended up getting a coffee table as well as purpose built tv unit made to order. Can't recommend them highly enough. If you like quality wooden furniture, this is as good as it gets.

From the time we visited Mark Tuckey and met Dave, through to the purchase itself and now delivery of our bedroom and dining furniture and owning my own retail outlet (in another field), I couldn't recmommend Mark Tuckey and Dave enough.
