As much as I hate to see them caged up, they all look pretty safe and well-kept from my unprofessional perspective. Except for the polar bear. That one looked very skinny and depressed. Beautiful botanical gardens worth seeing in the spring and summer months. Many places to eat and picnic area inside. Parking is not that easy, but also not impossible. Pricing seems to vary, as do access hours depending on the time of the year and well, corona. Book online in advance to avoid surprises!

Feeding time as advertised on their give-away zoo maps at the entrance are unreliable! Came from HD to see the giraffes, only to be disappointed. We loved our visit to the Zoological Gardens Karlsruhe. The animal shows were a lot of fun. During the sea lion show the largest sea lion jumps almost all of the way out of the water to grab a fish from the zoo keeper. All of the animals looked well kept and had spacious enclosures. We especially liked watching the Red Panda. The Zoo also has a nice sized pond that you can ride a boat on and several beautiful gardens. We parked at the Congress-Zentrum park house which is only a couple minutes away from the zoo entrance.

Die Baustellen muss man halt in Kauf nehmen....soll ja auch schön aussehen. Preise für Speisen und Getränke sind schon sehr hoch.....die Waffeln fast schon unverschämt teuer......deshalb am Besten selber was mitbringen. Man kann den ganzen Tag hier verbringen. Zeiten für die Tierfütterungen beachten....sind immer sehr gut besucht.

A very well maintained zoo. You get to see all different animals and plethora of birds, but the number of tigers/Lions/ snakes are very limited. It is not a very stereotypical zoo where the animals are caged, they have set it up very close to there natural habitat of the animals. Loved it!

Wir waren um 19 Uhr vor Ort so das man noch so manche Tiergehege inklusive Tiere ansehen könnte. Was mir gestern Abend aufgefallen ist und ich es sehr schade fand. Das es von den Besuchern nicht so farbenfroh wurde. Vielleicht sollte man am Eingang und wenn es nur Leuchtstoffröhre sein verteilen. Ansonsten waren die Preise human.

Viele bewegen sich völlig frei in dem großen Tierhaus, ein besonderes Erlebnis die Fledermaushöhle. Aber auch die anderen Orte sind sehr schön eingerichtet und insgesamt auch großzügig für die jeweiligen Tiere gebaut. Meine weiteren tierischen Highlights waren die roten Pandas, das tolle Elefantengehege uvm. Für Kinder gibt es tolle Spielplätze, ein tolles Oldtimerrennen und Erlebnispunkte bei verschiedenen Tiergehegen. Es ist wirklich alles was geboten. Wem der Trouble etwas zu viel wird, sollte sich in Richtung des japanischen Gartens wenden, hier ist wirklich eine Oase der Ruhe und Einkehr. Wir haben uns mega wohl gefühlt.

Vielleicht würden mehr Besucher kommen, wenn man über billigere Parkmöglichkeiten nachdenken würde. Auch die Fahrt mit der Kinderautobahn ist für einen Erwachsenen und zwei Kindern mit über 6€ für eine Fahrt von nicht mal 5 Minuten recht teuer. Trotzdem ist der Zoo für alle Kinder ein wunderschönes Erlebnis.

Der Zoo wird seit einiger Zeit modernisiert und artgerechter umgesetzt. Die neue Verwandlung gefällt mir richtig gut! 😊

Die Gehege werden nach und nach Erneuert. Vorallem die neuen Gehege wirken sehr Tierfreundlich für typische Zooverhältnisse. Die Mitarbeiter sind immer freundlich :) Es gibt viele und auch neue Spielplatzanlagen über den Zoo verteilt. Die neueren Infotafeln sind interessant. Es gibt immer mal wieder interessante Features wie eine Waage bei den Elefanten. Das Tropenhaus ist ein echtes Highlight ist sehr schön gemacht und mit Cafeteria :)

Tolle, gepflegte Gehege, viele spannende Tierarten und gerade im Exotenhaus auch interessante Pflanzen. Gerne wieder

Super Zoo, mit allem was ein Zoo halt so braucht. Einziges Manko der Preis. 10€ Eintritt für Ermäßigte ist sehr viel, zumal das Elefanten- und das Affenhaus zur Zeit geschlossen sind.

Let's get wild with this review of the Karlsruhe Zoo! We ventured out to the zoo on a chilly Saturday morning and boy, was it a wild experience! The good news was that we had the zoo almost all to ourselves, as the cold weather seemed to have driven away most of the other visitors. With free street parking and a short walk to the entrance, we were ready to embark on our animal adventure. Despite being on the smaller side compared to other zoos in the area, the Karlsruhe Zoo certainly packs a punch. It boasts heavy hitters like majestic elephants and mighty polar bears, which were definitely a sight to behold. We were impressed with how well the animals were taken care of, and the relatively clean condition of the zoo. Now, let's talk food. We stopped for lunch at a restaurant on site, and while it was typical quality for a zoo restaurant, it did the job of satisfying our growling stomachs. However, the real gem was the crepe stand near the petting zoo area - their crepes were the perfect sweet treat to indulge in during our animal adventure. It's worth mentioning that the zoo is on the older side, but don't let that deter you. We saw construction underway, which is a clear sign that the zoo is making improvements and aiming to keep up with the times. Overall, we recommend checking out the Karlsruhe Zoo if you happen to be in the area. However, we wouldn't recommend making a long journey just to visit the zoo. While it's definitely a fun experience, we feel it's more of a half-day adventure rather than a full-day excursion. So, hop on over and get ready to go wild!

A really wonderful zoo right in the centre of the city and, really helpfully for train travellers, right next to the main train station. Great for a wander and lots of play areas for kids. Plenty of shade for hot, sunny days and loads of room to run free. There's a good selection of animals including, remarkably, a polar bear. We missed feeding times, but there is a full list of options for the animals, which would no doubt make it educational as well as fun

The zoo is very good for the kids and the one can enjoy very well and spend a day easily. I find the boating very attractive with reasonable price.

The zoo is maintained well but it's like a maze. It would have been better if it's in order and if signboards were more. The boating was really amazing with plenty of fresh water dishes and ducks following the boat.

Schöner Zoo Kinder können hier viel entdecken und bei Tierfütterungen zuschauen. Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten sich hin zusetzen um zu essen. Auch gibt es mehrere Spielplätze an denen sich die kleinen austoben können,aber einen minus Punkt muss ich leider geben,die Giraffen waren nicht da,weil sie in einem anderen Zoo sind. Die Kinder hatten sich sehr auf Giraffen gefreut. Aber alles in allem war es ein wunderschöner Tag 🥰

Der Karlsruher Zoo ist schön. Es gibt eine überschaubare Auswahl an Tieren. Allerdings habe ich Raubtiere wie Löwen und Tiger vermisst. Die Gartenanlage ist schön. Ich kann den Zoo empfehlen.

Ein wirklich toller Zoo indem man ohne Probleme einen oder sogar mehrere Tage zubringen kann. Viele gut gepflegte Tiere in natürlich nachgebildeten Gehegen. Große Wiesenflächen laden zum Verweilen ein. Eine Picknickdecke mitzunehmen ist definitiv empfohlen. Das Personal ist außerdem sehr nett.

Ein sehr schöner Zoo, nur Schade, dass er immer im Umbau der Gehege ist wenn wir da sind und somit nicht alle Tiere angeschaut werden können. Ansonsten ist es sehr schön mit den großen Wieseflächen wo man dann sich auch mit den Kindern setzen kann. Was wirklich super ist, dass wenn man mit dem Zug kommt, man wirklich nur über die Straße muss, da sich da gleich der Ein/Ausgänge befindet.

Ich war gestern das erste mal im Karlsruher Zoo und war echt positiv überrascht. Wir waren mit 5 Kleinkindern dort. Es gab jede Menge im Zoo, sodass die Kinder sich austoben und die ganzen Tiere bewundern konnten. Preislich finde ich auch die Gruppentickets echt spitze und auch so sind 12 Euro nicht viel für einen Erwachsenen. Kinder unter 6 Jahren waren kostenlos, einfach Klasse ! Schade fand ich, dass es keine Löwen, Tiger oder Gorilla gab. Der Zoo hat zudem sehr viele schöne Wiesen auf denen man sich auch ausruhen oder picknicken kann. Alles in allem eine klare Weiterempfehlung von uns. Ein Parkhaus direkt am Eingang Nord. Eine Ermäßigung auf das Parkticket gibt es auch an der Kasse vom Zoo.

Ein gechillter Mittag mit den Kindern. Die Gehege sind alle sehr schön angelegt. Tropenhaus toll, mit den Fledermäusen. Die Bootsfahrt war entspannend, die Fische waren lustig. Machten den Eindruck als wären es ferngesteuerte Roboter, die gefüttert werden wollen. Parken direkt nebenan im Kongressparkhaus.

Was hatten wir hier für einen schönen Tag! Wir hatten entschieden gleich morgens anzureisen und das hat sich total bewährt, so war noch nicht so viel los wie gegen Mittag, wo die Schlange an der Kasse bis zum Gehsteig reichte. Der zoologische Stadtgarten hat sich seit unserem letzten Besuch sehr verändert, ganz viel würde umgestaltet und wirklich zum besseren. Die Tiere haben mehr Platz und die Gehege sind den natürlichen Lebensräumen besser nachgestaltet. Man muss jetzt schon besser hinsehen, aber die Tiere haben mehr Möglichkeiten sich auch zurück zu ziehen. Großes Highlight das Exotenhaus, man ist mittendrin und nicht nur dabei, besonders die Fledermäuse haben da beeindruckt. Sehr gut auch die Informationen bei den Fütterungen, besonders bei den Eisbären.

Persönlich finde ich den Karlsruher Zoo schöner als den Stuttgarter. Er sehr gut zu laufen und mit dem Zug sehr gut erreichbar da er gegenüber des Bahnhofes liegt. Preislich ist es erschwinglich und für Kinder ist viel geboten ( manches auch kostenpflichtig aber nicht überteuert ).

Es war sehr schön! Mich haben die Rezessionen ein bisschen verwundert. Die einen schreiben groß, die anderen Klein. Also wenn man alle Tier durchmacht, ist man denke ich in 3h durch. Aber es läd zum verweilen ein. Alle Gehege und Tieranlagen sind super schön angelegt. Der Aussichtspunkt ist definitiv den Weg wert. (Achtung, nicht Kinderwagen tauglich) Die verschiedenen Spielplätze lassen keine Wünsche offen. Wir waren von 12-17Uhr an einem Sonntag dort und hatten eine schöne Zeit. Wir haben jedoch nicht den restlichen (tierfreien) Bereich angeschaut. Daher ist es definitiv ein Tagesausflug wert. Kommen als Schwaben gerne wieder nach Baden ;)

Die Eintrittspreise sind relativ teuer geworden, sonst ein sehr schöner Zoo mit ruhigen Ecken um sich auch einfach mal auf eine Bank zu setzen. Abwechslungsreich und gibt viel zu entdecken. Aber durch große Grünanlagen und Teiche ist es auch im Sommer angenehm kühl.

Ich und meine Kinder (7 und 5) lieben es in den Zoo zu gehen. Am liebsten jeden Tag. ❤️ wir schaffen es eigentlich nie komplett alles anzusehen, weil der Zoo viel Abwechslung bietet und uns jedes Mal zu eine wundervolle Zeit als Familie beschert. Wir kommen noch sehr oft wieder. Liebe Grüße Julia

Very nice collection of animals. Located amidst lakes and lush green landscape. The map handed out as part of the welcome pack looked a bit wacky. I preferred looking at Google Maps to guide myself.
