We literally spent 3.5 h in the museum and I have to say we really enjoyed it. The exhibition, the history of the Sudeten Germans since their arrival to Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia until their expulsion after WW2 and so on to these days! The museum building itself is an architectural beauty. We love history combined with modernistic architecture. Our greetings and thanks to the museum staff and of course warmlike greetings to our fellow countrymen!

The entrance is 1 euro on Sunday. I was astonished by the simplicity the way this museum is designed and the quantity of information you get when you go from the 3rd floor till the underground. All these floors are linked to history between Czechia and Germany and the south germans population in between who migrated to Bavaria especially. The museum is divided from homeland and faith, economy/culture, Nationalism, Loss/Expulsion, Post war period and a special exhibition of wooden collections from an artist. with clean toilets and a cafeteria and halls for events and special discussions. located in a very calm area and the staff very friendly and helpful on all the floors. you can follow the marks on the ground to get the full round about tour with audios and be on the right timeline. very recommended and you could spend 1 hour or more in this amazing place.

Excellent museum of Sudeten German people who lived in Czech area. Museum audio guides were not working, but some if the stations in the room had interactive viso and audio with English, German and Czech language options. Spent 2.5 hours here. I also bought the book afterwards..i recommend buying the guide book at the beginning of the tour at the front desk for 10 Euro. I was the only visitor for the first hour...not crowded at all. This was my first museum in Germany and it's well laid organized, very educational and has lots of artifacts.

Highly recommended. It shows the evolution of the coexistence of the Czech, German and Hebrew communities in what now is the Czech Republic. The historical part is well explained, as well of the industrial activities of the German speaking community, the Sudetendeutsches. The second part begins with the conflicts between both communities and shows the Second World Was atrocities. The last part shows how the German speaking Czechs were expelled from their homes, as many other people before and after. At the end there is a spark of hope showing the approach between the German Sudetenland people and the Czechs.

(Translated by Google) Very exciting little museum that explains the history of the Sudeten Germans. For me, the part on economy and culture in the different parts of the area was particularly impressive. A great excursion into history.

(Translated by Google) Very interesting and newly designed museum - a "must" for anyone interested in the history of the "Sudeten Germans". Unfortunately I can only give 3 stars (two would be appropriate) because the staff (the guards) on the three levels treat you like prison inmates! We were constantly observed by them if we didn't want to destroy "something". I was even asked by one of these guards (in bad German) to go a different way through the exhibition (level)!!!! Of course I did not follow this request, as a result there was almost physical contact with this staff.... Arrived on the next level, one of the employees was talking loudly (privately) on his mobile phone, which had a very disruptive effect on the exhibition. Apparently there are these problems with the staff for a long time, see other reviews. Conclusion: Very nice museum, unfortunately staffed with extremely "unqualified" staff. greeting (Original) Sehr interessant und neu gestaltetes Museum - ein "muss" für jeden der sich für die Geschichte der "Sudetendeutschen" interessiert.

(Translated by Google) A very worth seeing museum. I will definitely visit it again. If you want to find out more about the Sudetenland or want to get to know the family's former homeland better, this is the place for you! (Original) Ein sehr sehenswertes Museum.

(Translated by Google) An architecturally exciting museum in which the history of the Sudeten Germans is presented very impressively. A first tour gives an overview, but it will certainly require more in-depth information on further visits. The planned temporary exhibitions will also be interesting, with even more exhibits and sound documents in the special Sudeten German dialect, which is now only spoken by a few.

A truly excellent historical museum everyone should visit. I stumbled upon the museum by chance, I didn't know the first thing about Sudetenland. History which is not taught in school! If, like me, the words "Sudetenland" and "Bohemia" are words you just happen to have heard in passing, I recommend you look at their website first. The museum itself is very well laid out, with a whole host of genuine exhibits and videos ranging from books and religious paraphernalia to the motorbike pictured. Easy to get to from Rosenheimer Platz, very comfortable and spacious inside. It took us about 3 hours to go around, we were in a bit of a rush, you really need 4 hours in my opinion. We left the museum feeling we really had learnt a lot, without being bored for a minute. The Sudetendeutchen history is yet another fine example of how even the most civilised people can turn against one another when mistargeted nationalism takes hold. Amazing!

This museum is really well organised and laid out. The building is modern and beautiful housing collections that deal with all aspects of life in the Sudeten regions.

Daniel took us on a great tour of the museum, thanks to which we discovered the history of the Sudet Germans, too little known or known only through a few stereotypes. The museum covers a large span of the central European history, formed by the tribes, religious communities and then the nations living on this territoriry. The culture presented here is varied and enlightening; it will surely appeal to diverse sensibilities.

(Translated by Google) An absolute must for anyone interested in Sudeten German history. Here you will find pieces steeped in history, information, a hands-on ambience and history as well as entertainment at the same time. The visit is barrier-free, since all floors can be reached with a spacious elevator. Shortcomings: The actually integrated café is currently not in operation and the cloakroom, lockers and toilets are in the basement. That's a bit awkward. The lockers and cloakroom in particular should be located in the entrance hall. The division of the start of the tour is also somewhat peculiar. It starts on the top floor. But these are small things and a matter of taste. What really bothers me are at least 2 "security guards" on each station who, except for one lady, don't smile at all and are extremely taciturn. I doubt if these are really necessary. I found them annoying and they caused some discomfort. You are under constant surveillance. For the last-mentioned reasons, there is therefore no full number of points.

A very nice (and important) museum if you like history. Also highly recommended if you wish to find out more or learn about the Sudeten Germans across the time and geographies, their history, culture, etc. It offers interactive maps, where you can choose info and play around. Be ready to spend some time inside, there are a lot of considerable texts to be read! The museum is accessible for disabled. Some descriptions are available in German sign language.

The staff are rude. We walked in with a water bottle on accident. The worker told me to get rid of it but there was no trashcan or any other place to throw it out. So I drank the water and put the empty bottle in my pocket. 20 minutes later he comes back with a colleague who proceeds to scold me for drinking the water and not following the other guy’s directions. Seriously? Now I see why we are the only ones in this museum.

I walked into this place with a completely blank mindset. I was expecting a general German history museum but I was surprised to find out that it is a Czechia history museum. When I went in practically no one was there and I got free admission due to student rates. It was very informative and interesting to read about Czech history and I would definitely suggest visiting here if you have nothing to do and want 3-4 hours of (possibly free) entertainment.

The building that houses this little-known museum is gorgeous. The museum itself was well structured and informative. I generally prefer more interactive museums, but enjoyed this one.

(Translated by Google) Visually attractively presented exhibition, albeit with a lack of clarity in the geographical and linguistic order of former German settlement areas. Visualizations and historically exhibited maps speak different languages here. Where are the Heimatstuben stored in the magazine located? Why isn't it exhibited here - there is enough space. There are no contact persons, only grim-looking security people walk around who have no idea about the exhibition.

Museum worth visiting to get some really interesting history. The museum is very well set up to make it easy to walk though the full exhibit in less than an hour.

(Translated by Google) On September 14th, 2022 we visited your museum. My parents came from the Sudetenland. The exhibition was excellent. I could still remember what my parents had told me about some of the exhibits. But I can only give them 3 points because their supervisory staff (2 employees with not very good German) very impolite and snotty crossed. I said that to my colleagues too. the It was great, however, that one of these employees also wanted to cheer for traces of dirt on the floor. The lady at the cash register was the complete opposite (very friendly and courteous) of these two employees.

Was starting point for the Museum Night. Although I had the feeling that the historical reach was limited, the relationship between Munich and the region close to Bohemia makes this exposition valuable for educating about the propaganda of the Nazis and why those worked. I would love some deep dives into ancient times, but nthl it gives food for thought. Remarkable is the first glance at the flag of Sudetenland.

(Translated by Google) Very interesting museum with a well done exhibition. The building is also architecturally well done. From the top floor you have a beautiful view over the city center. The staff was mostly very friendly. I only have one suggestion. The café is currently only used as a "lounge". It would be nice if there was at least one coffee machine and one (Sudeten/Czech?) pastry machine here.
