a very good selection of dishes on the menu. The meals that we had were well cooked and well presented. I shall take guests there in the future.

Had smaller appetite meals. Really good value and for the cost.....good quality. But how come we had to have 6 stamps for a free dessert? Surely it was only 5! Not happy

Visited on a Friday evening, pub was pretty much empty. Ordered two small children's meals to still be waiting over 25 minutes later. When asked how much longer the food would take, it was responded with another 15 minutes. When asking for a refund said staff member that told us that it would be another 15 mins just walked off and completely ignored our request. When we asked a different staff member at the bar for a refund she was so apologetic and she informed us that we had in fact been right an ordered the meals at 16:59 and it was 17:31. She said only 15 mins after we ordered the two childrens meal's that it was a 30 Mon wait on food. But no one had the decency to inform us. We were not the only people to complain. Normally a really good establishment.

Friendly welcome had 3 meals all different but cooked and presented very well my steak and chicken sizzler was excellent . Our daughter lives nearby and will definitely go to The Plough again on our next family visit.

By far one of the best pubs we have been to.. The staff very smiley and welcoming as soon as you walk through the door.. Nothing was to much trouble for them. The food was lovely and came out in a very good time.. ps this wasn't all the food we couldnt wait to get stuck in. Thank you to Kylie and team for looking after us.. we will be back soon. Xx

Hello. Me and my close family visited today which was a Sunday. We ordered our meals through the app separately however at the same time they went though. Our drinks came within 5 minutes however our food took 45-50 minutes. The pub was quiet at this time so didn't expect to wait this long. It was to the point we started to consider a refund and leave but the food came. My mother ordered chilli however had regular rice instead of basmati, no cheese or Doritos as stated on the menu. My sister's chips were dry, my fiance had hunters chicken which was burnt underneath so she didn't finish this. I had a chicken platter which again was missing half the stuff stated on the menu. The lady that served the food just put them down and left without asking for any other items, there was no checkup on the food either. We were already fed up and didn't want a replacement as it'd probably take another half an hour. Usually I'm impressed by this pub and there food but this really let us all down so more than likely won't visit again

Well when you come in and others get there’s before you been here over 45 mm and still got nothing and next table got there about 5 minutes after I’m told that a surf and turf and it was like leather left the stake as photo

The whole meal was a complete disaster! The waiting time was 1 hour. The starters all came separately, not eating together, and forgot our nachos, we asked 3 times for these to come and our answer was “ I think there coming” Our mains all came out separately, again not eating our meals together. The surf and turf was served and the waitress said it was steak and it wasn’t, I said I think it was the surf and turf, and she said no it’s steak ( when it wasn’t) Then when we swapped the meals round the steaks where all cooked wrong, we complained and they changed them for us, the meals was then over cooked and chewy! We all ate separately and no plates collected or asked if the meals was okay. Overall was not an enjoyable experience at all

Me and my family came for a birthday meal there was 6 adults 6 kids .. Service was great .. food was great .. we was happy with the turn out .. until we left and one of us went to the toilet and heard the staff saying they thought we would be annoying but we was actually nice .. but was messy .. the mess came from 2 kids under the age of 1 .. which they also had a paid for kids meal each .. this is where we go every time there is a birthday in our family .. Normally we have no complaints but today I think was just rudeness (when they thought we had left) when we was nothing but polite .. our children remained seated unless they used the kids toy machine or went to the toilet .. They did not run round the pub or anything

Limited Menu due to staff problems, Sizzling fajitas came with cold Veg and burnt dry Chicken. i complained and it was heated! came back in a few minutes still not sizzling, same food! i complained and was just told sorry about that. After we had eaten it, i asked who i complained too because i wasnt happy paying the full amount. was told i could talk to the waitress but was just told sorry about that again, i was offered a free drink or pudding but refused a refund ...i asked if we could have 2 puddings after going back to fro to the manager asking her, then a lady i presume was the manager asked me to come to the bar till for a refund...The pub itself is nice and clean with plenty of parking. i have been there previously had had a lovely meal but that really has put me off going again.

Just had the most perfectly cooked steaks. Both meals were awesome thank you Wayne and Laura, I take my hat off to you both. Also excellent service cheers all round 👍

It's a lovely and nicely decorated pub/sizzling restaurant. Staff is welcoming and friendly Food is freshly prepared and delicious. I love that they put up the chef on duty name at the bar, so many thanks to Chef Sky, we enjoyed our meals. There is plenty of nice seating inside and outdoor dining space for good weather. There's a spacious carpark at the back for customers. For sure we would visit again!

decent range of food, the app is useful for knowing what food is available and whats run out. staff are nice, drink selection is good though also pretty standard for a chain joint, quality of food is generally alright though has sometimes been inconsistent. (probably depending on how busy to be fair).

A good menu, food quickly ordered and delivered at every visit. Spacious dining area, quiet to be able to chat, lots of different types of seating areas, open and more secluded or intimate. Car parking out front and to the rear, well lit too, restaurant tidy, clean and orderly, staff helpful and friendly.

Had the surf an turf I'm sorry what the steak just melted in your mouth amazing chef definitely a keeper if I could give more stars I would don't walk run to this fantastic restaurant

Food served relatively quickly. We had a combo grill. Egg, gammon, sausage, steak, mushrooms, onion rings chips on a bed of fried onions. Tasty sizzling hot perfectly cooked. Went around 6:25 and was served straight away, lots of seats, clean and a good selection of food and drinks

First time ordering tonight via UberEats, was a bit apprehensive about ordering. So glad I did!! I had the new festive burger, everything about it was very very good!!! I will be ordering again without a shadow of a doubt if the quality and service stays the same. The only very small gripe would be the sweet potato fries wasn't cooked enough (Maybe my preference) Also would be nice to be able to leave a comment to the establishment/kitchen.

Refurb since last time I came. Looks good. Beer well kept, only two real ales, but the Hobgoblin was the best I've had in a long time. Some choices missing from the menu, but everyone enjoyed what they had. Food was hot and portions were decent sized. Doesn't break the bank either Decent cheap and cheerful place

Such a shame as the pub itself is lovely and well decorated but the staff, food quality and quantities are really poor and hugely overpriced. We ordered a sharer for 3 of what we thought were chicken nachos and it litrereally says sharer for 3 on the menu.. 9 chicken nugets... thats it, thats all they brought out and said thats all that it was! The staff could not be arsed at all and the managers attitude was just as bad if not worse. I completly understand why the pub is empty now. Would not recommend and will not be going back. Super disappointed. To add to this - two of our party are now incredibly ill with stomach issues. I have officially reported the pub as there is something not right!

If you have all day and like a beer garden then it's Ok, but if your actually hungry or thirsty I'd suggest going somewhere else, there are plenty of much nicer places to spend your money. (Edit for owners response) (hopefully more constructive for you) Surf and turf... The steak was inedible, I suspect from frozen, prawns in rhe photo turned out to be scampi, which is OK but not as described. Service didn't come back to ask if food was OK. So at the end when she came to clear when we said it wasn't edible no refund or effort was made at all to rectify the situation. Bar service was incredibly slow considering the place was almost empty. I lost patience in the end and we left to find another pub. My partner and I suspect understaffed which we get is hard to manage (being in hospitality ourselves) but will do you no favours in the long run as like I said folk have limited funds these days and need to be treated like guests not like an inconvenience. Hope that helps.

I was so excited to pull up here, got out the kayak and the gate was locked, my belly was rumbling and pint was literally screaming at me 😢

The staff went above and beyond to help with a surprise birthday party. 17 of us in total, the food was lovely, the service quick and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and so reasonably priced. We will definitely be back again soon.
