Came for the three course festive meal and for the price it was good. There were six of us in the party and we were all well looked after. The staff were polite and friendly and would go back again.

Service was good. The 30% off voucher was great! Took a while to clear the table but all staff were very polite and very helpful. There were 9 of us and a circular table would have been preferable so we could all talk to each other as long tables are tricky for that amount of people.

We found the menu to be quite extensive and reasonably priced. Food was delivered to our table quickly and piping hot. We were able to bring our furry companions along to dine with us which was wonderful. Everywhere was clean, we were very impressed and will be returning soon.

Nice pub, built a couple of decades ago to feel olde-worlde. Used to offer a good choice of cask, but only Pedigree lately. Good staff keep it running well. Cheap and standard pub grub. Good for families. Decent outside area and car park.

Absolutely lovely atmosphere. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman on the bar who was very patient and helpful when we weren't 100% sure what we wanted. We started by having some drinks outside and then came in for food at the table we had booked. The service was brilliant and the food cannot be faulted. The wait times were short, the portions were amazing and it tasted great! Really happy with our visit and will Absolutely be coming again.

We were a party of 6 Three of us went to order separately but the food all came out together. Fantastic service, lovely food and very pleasant staff. The only disappointment was there want any of the cheesecake left. Not much of a grumble really as I’d shows how popular the menu is.

We love coming here, it’s always good food, quality never drops! Highly recommend their surf & turf (their steaks are fab!), southern fried chicken burger and lasagne. Great wide range of food on the menu for adults and kids and they do Moretti (one of our faves). Whether we’re coming with friends or family it’s always great and we love it!

We weren’t keen on our reserved table so they found us a preferred one without any fuss. Bar service was friendly and quick. Table service was also friendly and quick, although being asked if all was ok whilst we all had food in our mouths wasn’t so good. Really would prefer to be told at meal delivery “that should there be any problems just to attract their attention and someone would come over to us”, much nicer than breaking table manners. The food was delicious and my steak was nicely cremated just as I’d asked for. The pizzas were nicely done as was my grandchildren’s meals, in fact, they were both really happy to get little gravy boats (most places for kids it’s just a ramekin). Had to have one of the drinks redone as the syrup had gone so very little taste on the Pepsi but that was easily sorted Will definitely be going again soon.

Nice atmosphere and layout. Good menu selection, friendly staff and no faults with food. Only reason for knocking down to 8/10 is that one of our starter choices was not available on the night and we had to wait almost an hour for our main courses. However, we were advised as to the wait before ordering and appreciated the heads up.

Lasagna, scampi, 8oz rump steak, 2x pizza, x8 beers and x2 soft drinks…..£91. Great food, nice atmosphere, great service from Tom and his team and a fair price. Highly recommended!

We call in from time to time, for dinner usually when we're visiting my Mum and can't be bothered cooking. A couple of months ago we had a pizza and a salad and both were really good, in fact we commented on the veggie salad as it was much better than we'd expect from a standard pub menu. However... tonight we called in hoping to repeat the experience, but it was not to be. The pizza was OK, but the salad was just pathetic. Last time the bbq cauliflower 'Super' salad had a really decent amount the tasty cauliflower, and a good helping of the rice and quinoa, it was 'tossed in dressing', and had a nice topping of crispy onions, all as stated in the menu (see pic). Tonight, 3 measly bits of cauli, barely noticable rice and quinoa sprinkled on, no dressing, no kale, and no crispy onions on top. Hardly £10 worth of Super salad (see pic). We were going to send it back but they were busy, we'd already waited 45mins and we were hungry. Now we don't know if the last time was a blip and it's usually rubbish, or this was a blip and it's usually great. Hmmm. One last point, they make a big thing about getting your table number before you order but when the food comes outside (not just our table) the waitress just bawls out your order, admitting loudly that she didn't have a clue where all the tables were.

Staff are fantastic. The lady serving behind the bar and serving us food and clearing tables is very thoughtful and caring. All the staff were great also and we had a private table, just right. The food was very nice and the drinks of Coke/Pepsi were served professionally with right amount of ice and lemon unlike many restaurants. We will be returning soon hopefully. No 1 in Derby we would say!

The food was great, fairly basic pub menus but well cooked and presented. Had a laugh with them about acceptable amounts of gravy with our pies and they accommodated without question and with a smile. We weren’t rushed, the wine was good and affordable. Really can’t fault it

My pizza was nice but my husband had the mixed grill. It comes with onion rings. The meats aren’t great but while using the discount code it seems reasonable. His portion had one small onion ring and one absolutely tiny one. When he asked for two reasonably sized onion rings to replace his the manager told us that it comes with two onion rings and they have no control over the portion. So we can only presume that we are served ready made servings and it’s luck of the draw what you get! We felt the customer service response was poor. Another table was very lucky and their mixed grills came with two decent sized onion rings on three portions. We’ve decided to take it personally and won’t be back.

We are a group (13 in all) of older folk involved in Scouting that meets on a monthly basis to maintain contact and have a laugh. This was our first visit to the Bull; it won't be our last. The service was friendly, helpful and the food was really good and served on time. Well done.

No improvement needed. The food was absolutely fantastic and cooked perfectly to our liking, staff very friendly and on the ball. Big shout out to you all, keep up the good work guys, forgot to use our 30% off but would have gladly paid more for the the service and food we received. X

I recently attended the pub for a patient who had a funny turn ( I’m an ambulance technician ) and the staff were brilliant and so helpful. After finishing the job I thought I need to go get some food there,I organised a family get together and booked for 8 people. The staff were friendly and inviting, the menu was the perfect size and the quality of the food was excellent. You made a great impression when i was there in a work capacity and an even better one when i came for food. Thank you to all the staff on that day.

Christmas menu. Had the 3 course meal and can’t fault it! It was all served and presented nicely and most of all hot. Staff were warm and friendly. Would recommend.

Well...after being loyal customers at a time when local businesses certainly need them...I find it very disappointing that the management have very little customer service skills and seems to find being courteous difficult. Hat off to the young waiter though he was very polite and professional. The meal was mediocre. We shall not be returning.

App wasn't working so couldn't order from table. Even though there wasn't any signs saying so. I ordered drinks and sat waiting then went to the bar and got told that. Food was good. Fish was lovely and quite good value for gow nice it was. Decor a little tired and it was very hot In there. Overall not a bad place to eat.

Came in the other day for a meal with my friends. Food was really good value for money. Had the mega mix grill which was massive. Really happy with the service as well, was served by Shannon behind the bar. Will definitely be returning.

Lovely atmosphere in which to meet up with friends for lunch. Excellent service, with a personal touch. There were 8 of us all meeting for a catch up lunch, our meals all arrived at the same time and the food was lovely and hot. Well done to all and thank you.

Nice straight forward food on menu just right for those who aren't adventurous. And lots of more interesting for those who are! Lunchtime two meals for £9.95; we've been, then come again, and yet again - which we haven't done for any other pub so that's a real recommendation from us. Oh, very friendly and efficient staff, big car park too. Try the Bull's Head for yourself!

The food arrived quickly and piping hot. We ordered a kids meal and asked for them to cut the burger in half they not only did that but provided the kids with their own plate and portions of chips and peas. The pudding we wanted was out of stock but the one we had was gorgeous. Haven't been to the bullhead since 2020 but the standards definitely haven't changed amazing food and service will be back again.
