I brought my two female mice from here. The lad called Travis who sold them to me, he was so helpful. He knew alot about mice, he’d got more knowledge than most of the people who work at pets at home. He didn’t try and rip me off either. Cost me £30 in total for 2 mice, a bag of food, a 10kg of back to nature and 2 bowls which I didn’t think was bad at all. Gave me the best advice before I even got the mice because I’ve been planning it for a while

Lovely pet shop with a good selection of goods. Looked at the aquariums and saw one we really liked. When we got home and went on the website we couldn't find it so not been able to order it. We don't live in Ilkeston so it's a long way to go backwards and forwards.

Helpful re choice of dogfood. Was good to know if she doesnt like it can take the bag back and get money back. Unfortunately looks like I have got to do this as our jackapoo wont eat the lifestage salmon and trout biscuit.

Don't visit this shop. Can't buy sinlge animal only pair. Today wanted buy a pair of rats, they said it's too late we close now but it is 15:45 they close at 16:00 ,so very dogdy shop , please buy from small shops where ppl give everything for the customer, don't support this leeches and big shops

Great value on most of the products. Not many animals in but it was lovely to see the few that were. Friendly, helpful staff and clean store.

Unfortunately had been let down with online subscription so decided to visit our nearest store in Ilkeston and the customer service from Zac was excellent so helpful and actually saved money which was brilliant. Thankyou Zac you was amazing.

Phoned to book puppy in for vaccine, UNFORTUNATELY they haven't a vet there!!! No good to me when puppy's due her 2nd vaccine, all paid for via JOLLEYS store in Hampshire. Inquire as to when will they have one?? Answer was DONT KNOW!!!! No good to me as have to pay for new vaccine as local vets don't do the one(versican)she,s had already. Next nearest store is Sheffield!!!!! 😠 😡 😤 Thankyou JOLLEYS for making me have to pay out an extra £50.00!!!. Not impressed at all how they dealt with it.

Great Pet Shop with Knowledgeable Advice for first time owners : WOULD RECOMMEND

Plenty of choice, good prices. Bought rabbit food for a relative's rabbits, and Xmas presents for family pets -an Akita and my 2 cats. Excellent customer service. Location of the store is great there is plenty of parking outside the shop (it's a retail park) so it was easy to carry the items to the car.

I very rarely go into this store as it has never impressed me. I normally use the other independent pet shop in Ilkeston. This time however, I had no choice as my normal shop did not have any medium locusts in for my Gecko. I went up the stairs to the upper floor. Those steps were filthy and looked as though they hadn't been cleaned for a good couple of days. When I got to the locusts, I found 5 boxes of dead ones. When I eventually found a couple of boxes of live ones I went downstairs to the counter and informed the lady behind it. She had no interest and muttered something about sorting it out. She was more interested in trying to get me to sign up to the store membership card (I didn't.) This store will always be a last resort for me, as at the end of the day my pets have to eat but I will look at all other options first!

Don't buy fish from here!

A lot cheaper than pets at home. Even the food tjat is apparently exclusive to pets at home. The toys are also a lot cheaper such as the Kong toys. Staff are all very helpful.

Phoned the store to ask about some puffer fish the lady that took the call said il go have a look then I heard her laughing saying to another member of staff I don't know what she was saying and didn't go look at all then just said no sorry I thought this was very rude and very unprofessional I won't be using this store again or recommending either

Well stocked, clean and easy to find what your looking for, staff are friendly and helpful. Wanted to get Princess Puppy Paws a pampering session but the Salon was closed, the lady behind the register gave me the card to book an appointment at the salon. They have their own brand food, treats etc with multi pack deals. I would be happy if this was our local pet store.

It's a brilliant pet shop but the only thing I did not like at all there is a black rabbit there it kept getting stuck in the plastic house .the plastic house needed to be a lot bigger. The rabbit was clearly distressed.

Went in to look at the guinea pigs and the lady was so lovely, and you could tell she loves animals, we'd been looking all day for female pigs and no other shop had any and the service at pets at home was shocking, but the lovely girl and this nice man showed us them, very happy with the service

staff are wonderful and you can tell they care about the animals. I had a lady called Jordan help me out with my enquiries and she was amazing and lovely. would definitely recommend to anyone
