Absolutely Erie's best breakfast. Not only is it reasonably priced but, it was really good food. Not disappointed most certainly if you are traveling add this if your looking for breakfast. Thank you guys seriously!

We go here every year for my post birthday bash. Always have a larger party and they can accommodate. Food is top notch. I have crazy dietary restrictions and they accommodated easily. See picture of my 16 lbs of potatoes 🤣

Just passing through town and found a generic sounding name restaurant close to the thruway. Took a chance. Not disappointed Service was great and friendly. Waitress was attentive but not bugging us even brought coloring book without asking! Prices were cheap. Food was great! Bathroom was clean.

Nightmare omelette was very good. 3 stars because it seemed to take a while to get food out of the kitchen. Not just for us. Seemed the entire restaurant was waiting. Wife got the weekly special waffle and strawberries. Waffle was hot but strawberries were cold and very liquidy which made the waffle cold and soaked. Wait staff was very friendly. Price was very good too.

Excellent food. Great service. The half order of frittata was huge! And tasty! My wife couldn't even finish it! I had the spinach, onion, mushroom, and cheese omelette, it was great! Also tried the Greek burger, highly recommend!

It was very crowded but the food was good and the service was decent. Very busy place so be patient. I will visit again when I come to town. Thank you for your hospitality.

Inexpensive breakfast joint. Family friendly, good food and friendly servers. A little run-down, but overall, good for the prices and tastes

The service was not at all good, we asked the waitress how long it would take to get seated and she did not give us any estimated time. Then we asked if we could add an extra seat to a table to be seated, they denied the request and instead left us waiting. What kind of place or local restaurant does this to their customers? Your business depends on customer service, yet you failed at that one thing.

Never a dissapointment! Food is good with great pricing. Bathrooms very well taken care of. Staff always does the best they can even when short staffed or busy. Kid friendly. And great atmosphere!

Very busy during breakfast hours. Nevertheless, fast service and good food. Waitresses are the perfect amount of friendly, making it revolve more around the service you receive.

It’s my favorite restaurant! The staff is mostly family or just have been working there for years. The food comes to you fast and is so good.

This place was out of this world. They only serve breakfast but what they do with this one meal is amazing. I recommend the chicken fried steak.. best ever! We're from Pittsburgh but every time we are in Erie we will try to eat here.

Outstanding breakfast along E 38th street! The sausage is amazing. Prices aren't bad for the amount of food that you get. They always keep the coffee hot and are constantly coming back to ensure that everything is great!

I have been going here for about three years now and I have yet to have a bad experience! The staff is all incredibly friendly and the atmosphere makes you feel right at home. I highly recommend OBP to anyone at least once in their life. (I was just in this morning and I’m, as always, extremely pleased)

Food was delicious!!! Huge portions! Everything was made as ordered and special dietary requests were met. Staff was friendly and personable! Prices were great! Comfy and roomy place!

Nice American diner atmosphere, pleasant employees and quick service, excelent food taste and quantity, fairly affordable prices. Definitely recommend Cajun Eggs.

Best place in town to grab breakfast and support local. Servers always wicked friendly and on top of their sh*it. The food is fantastic, cooks are handy with the steel earn their keep for sure.

Super crowded which anyone's is a sign for a good restaurant. The service was amazing and the food was outstanding. Their Greek sauce is such a treat.

Our first time trying out this new breakfast place. Came in with high expectations. The "Original breakfast place" does not live up to the name. Standard breakfast items. Ran out of English muffins. Waffles were frozen, thawed and soggy. Really surprised because fresh waffles are easy and quick to make, and was not expected at an authentic breakfast spot. Server only came around once to collect the order. Generous on coffee refills and prices are reasonable. It was a quick "in and out" experience. I see several good reviews so not sure if it was the end of the day or short staffing. But if you're looking for something more wholesome and family oriented with good food and service this may not be the place.

The food was incredibly bland and unappetizing looking. The waitress took forever to come to the table and we never saw her again. And the worst part: the bathrooms were disgusting.

My husband and I were in town to see the tall ships and the internet recommended The Original Breakfast Place for breakfast. I am so glad we went. The food was incredible. I had Eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce and poached eggs were perfect. My husband got a big platter (can't remember the name) but he got so much good food for only $9. And according to him the eggs were just right and he is a hard man to please when it comes to eggs. The service was great both from our server and the gentleman clearing plates were excellent. We will be back the next time we are up that way.

Would not visit again. Sausage patties are cooked in the morning, and reheated in a microwave for afternoon guests. Thick Italian sausage is not meant to be reheated like that or else it becomes extremely rubbery. Hash browns came out white and raw with no crisp or browning. The biscuit for the sausage gravy meal was extremely tough to chew, the hot peppers on top of my girlfriend's home fries were cold and raw. Oj was good, pancake was fine, and egg and cheese bagel was good. Attention to detail was severely lacking in this local restaurant. Seems noone truly takes pride in their work anymore.

Get there early or be prepared to wait! Definitely a favorite spot amongst me and my friends, they had soul-reviving omelets and you can't forget about the jumbo chocolate milk. For the price point this place was just the best for students.

Wanted a different breakfast so I tried the Original Breakfast Place. I am glad I did. Had the country fried steak with eggs, hash browns and toast. Delicious. Plenty of good country gravy just a little spilled over onto the eggs and hash browns. Service was excellent. Fast and friendly. A great way to end the day. I will be back soon.

Holy cow this place is awesome. The amount of food you get for the price is incredible and it was all delicious. You get an actual mound of bacon and the sausage link is like four normal links. The scrambled eggs were beautiful and they listened to my request for extra crispy hash browns exactly. They could charge double for everything and I'd have still given them a 5 star. This is a must stop if you like traditional breakfast.
