Tried this place after hearing a lot of reviews! The Podi Idly is definitely a must try in their menu. It is very reasonably priced as well

Every breakfast dish is amazing here.. Must try - ghee Upma, ghee Podi idli, Rava dosa, sambar vada, filter coffee.. Freshly prepared food is served. Prices are very economical Must go place at least once if you are in Kochi and staying nearby

One of the decent vegetarian hotel near Dhurbar road. They claim it's Udupi cuisine but the taste is like Kerala style and it's good. The price is also reasonable. Service needs to be improved. No dedicated car parking and has to be managed on own. Can be parked near jetty road.

I was fortunate enough to experiment with the Café Woodlands. It's a brand new hotel near Durbar hall ground with authentic Udupi food. The ghee podi idli is yumm! Also the upu-puli dosa was a good try. Waiting to try the moode idli and tatte idli. (Will be back soon.) It's a small place but with very nice ambience. Neat & clean and pretty economical too. The owners are an old couple and always around to chat if you are in the mood to. Show some love and try out the place. You'll keep coming back :)

The restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I was impressed by the variety of dishes available. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food.

Must visit if you want to make your Kerala trip a memorable one ❤️ Had the privilege of meeting the family member who runs this place, Mr. Venkatesh, one of the elderly personality who runs the place, himself asked for the order when I stepped in,WHAT AN AMBIENCE! This place takes you for a quick tour with its ambience and aura. Hospitality at its best. I requested for Podi with my idli vada and there I got my alaadin ka chirag - my treasure podli mixed deep with ghee, so much so that I felt I'm still a school kid eating idli with podis before rushing to school. Best part about this place is you'll also find few top cuisines of Karnataka like Pongal and Bisibele bhath etc due to the origin history of the founders.

Taste of food, it's ambience and friendly servers are the main reasons we came here to eat again and again. We loved everything they served, whether it is ootthappam, dosa, idli, vada or chapati. Kudos to servers who receive us with smiles and suggest us food items to try whenever we ask.

This could be one of the best restaurants in Kochi that gives amazing idlis and scrumptious dosas! Also their Kesari is a must try! Filter coffee should be improved.

We went with family and enjoyed several items such as Podi dosa, ghee podi idli, rava roast, Rava kesari, sambar vada, thatte idli and their filter coffee. All the dishes were excellent. The pricing is very reasonable as well. There are few items in their menu which is not available all the time. Instead if you order it some 30 minutes in advance, they will keep it prepared. Pro's - Good food, lots of variety vegetarian options, reasonable pricing. Cons - Small dining space, No parking space. Overall I would recommend this place for vegetarian food.

Good ambience. I should definitely give 5 out of 5. Very neatly maintained. Udupi cusines like Moode, kesaribath, thatte idli, bisibellebath etc available and the taste is also commendable. Normal rates when quality considered.Area is small which I think is good to keep neatness. Highly recomended.

Cafe Woodland is a Udupi Vegetarian restaurant located at Durbal Hall Road in Ernakulam. The hotel is run by an age old couple who decents from Tulunad. The eatery offers varieties of idly and dosa. Today i tried their Moode idly, Vada and Filter coffee. Moode is a type of idly wrapped in banana leaves. Their vada was good. It served along with thick coconut chutney. The price is not much high. Moode idly costs Rs. 60. Parking near the shop would be difficult.

Taste is absolutely top notch. Great option for veg food lovers. The idly varieties they have is a must try. Open on mornings and evenings seems they don't serve for lunch and was closed during noon.

A beautiful joint in the heart of kochi for a quick bite. They got all traditional Udupi items . I just loved the restaurant. When we think abt quick bites , it is always subway or Mac D. But this is a cool concepts . Bringing traditional food like uthapam etc as a quicky . The restaurant is well maintained and rates are affordable. It is a must try spot in kochi esply after visiting ekm temple .

By far the BEST South Indian breakfast experience we've ever had. The dosas were perfect. The vada was perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside - and what makes this experience better is the service. They really made us feel welcome, their sweet and friendly chef offered us things to try and helped us cool the hot coffee in the special technique they use here in the south. If you go here, I promise you that you will not be disappointed. This will be my regular spot from now on :)

At last we found Udupi hotel in cochin. Food was really at top notch. Mrs. Asha bhat was really down to earth person. She spoken very well with us and helped us to select the menu easily. Ghee podi idli was ultimate , dose , upma , kesari bath chut ey and sambar was really tasty. Finally coffee was really tasty👍

Pls visit for good South Indian food. Tried pudi idli , onion tomato dosae and lime 🥤. All three were too good.

We got breakfast with dosa, tea, and rose milk. Everything was so delicious that we ordered more. Best breakfast place we tried in Kochi. People were so friendly and welcoming.
