Abbeycare helped steer me in the right path, they have changed my life for good. Thanks too all the staff who were involved with my recovery and looking after me. I left Abbeycare Scotland on Thursday 5th August after completing the 28 day alcohol rehab programme. I found the practitioners absolutely excellent with 24 hr care if and when needed. Nothing was a problem. The therapists were excellent with vast experience of addictions and provided first class group and one to one sessions. House keeping was first class and the accommodation was spotless and well kept. Catering was also first class and to a high standard. The management teams was really good and helpful especially the registered manager. If it was not for Abbeycare I’m not sure I would in the position I am today for that I am eternally grateful. Abbeycare has proved to be the most valuable experience I have had. Before I came here I was struggling with addiction. However, from when I first made the decision to come here to when I left after 28 days, I found the service, therapy & treatment levels exceptional. The staff are approachable, knowledgeable and always willing to listen and guide. This has worked out exactly as I wanted it to and has given me a strong base with which to carry on my recovery in the future. It is not all about theory and builds in reading time, exercise classes and a nice walk every week to give a change of environment. Thankyou very much Abbeycare.

The staff and the whole atmosphere is warm and friendly but strict in a constructive way to help and motivate you to change your life for the better. Horrific experience. They use a completely outdated framework & as such was at an unnecessarily cruel level to the patients, felt like i was treated more like a prisoner. Absolute incompetence in their approach towards medication & making an already uncomfortable process more manageable. I had an underlying pain issue & as such my addiction was chronic pain medication, this was given zero consideration, so the process did not work at all. I have since been to another treatment centre, with a completely different approach & it was successful. Would strongly advise avoiding Abbeycare. Now just going through the reviews, the positive ones get around 3 likes, the negative ones get 15 +, that should be conclusive enough.

Great facility, fantastic staff, provides great insight and awareness to your own individual needs. Really enjoyed my time in Abbeycare and believe it gave me the strength to live life on the outside. Once you leave Abbeycare their support does not end there, great aftercare support. All of the staff are fantastic but too many to name individually. A rehabilitation facility that genuinely cares for their clients and not their money.

My stay with Abbeycare was the start of my recovery journey. I was in a safe environment, staff were friendly and understood. I was shown care and taught life saving tools to begin my new sober life. Thanks so much.

I stayed in Abbeycare nearly a year ago for problematic alcohol use. It is a fantastic place for anyone struggling with addiction. The staff were absolutely great (most are in recovery from addiciton) and unusually, they provide free aftercare & support - weekly meetings in Edinburgh & Glasgow, plus Zoom meetings, and a dedicated outreach worker. Couldn't really have asked for a better service to tackle a very difficult problem. Thank you everyone at Abbeycare - it is appreciated.

Best money I’ve ever spent on myself - gave me the ability to see the wood for the trees and understand the my disease and more importantly myself. Abbeycare is good value for money and the staff are motivated, helpful and well informed. Hardly the high point of my life but provides a solid basis to move forward confidently. Good aftercare.

I arrived into abbeycare on 29/3/2023 in a terrible state through alcohol addiction.i left 28 days later a new man equipped withe tools to manage my addiction. All the staff are amazing people who know addiction inside out. Best money I've ever spent.i could not recommend abbeycare highly enough.......a life saver

Was in abbeycare Scotland for 21 days . My experience was great. I can’t thank the place enough as it learned me so much . From the staff who were friendly loving and caring to the chef who’s food was first class. Also the after care I am receiving we’re im getting called every week to make sure I’m doing ok . This place has saved my life and i can’t recommend it enough if you are suffering and want help from your addiction. . James grateful addict

I want to thank Abbeycare Scotland for the superb treatment i recieved for 28 days being there. I cannot thank all the staff enough, especially Dougie the manager, my Keyworker Lucy, Mark for the entertainment. The rest of staff were equally as lovely and kind and i cant wait too see you all again soon. My journey was fantastic a lovely warm place full of wonderful people.
