The hotel is nice and the food and drinks are great. We really enjoyed the location. We didn't watch much TV, but all they have is cable with no guide so finding something to watch was painful. We had to keep asking for clean towels. Our room was cleaned one time during a stay of 8 days. And finally, staff was driving a golf cart wide open in the parking deck. For the price, we expected better and had better at other hotels close by.

I'm struggling to remember any negatives here! Telephone reservation, greeted by a wonderful bellhop, check-in, all were great. Room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Details aren't missed here! Gulf view was great. Beach walking was easily accessed from the lobby. Convenient parking garage, is the base of hotel. Plenty to do in walking distance of hotel, and driving a little further out was easy too. Highly recommend a stay here!

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. I called them desperate to find a replacement for our honeymoon after a nightmare at Springhill Suites in Navarre. The lady was so sweet, listened carefully to what we were looking for and their staff warmly welcomed us within 2 hours of me calling. Upon arriving there were chocolate covered strawberries and champagne in the fridge in our room, along with drink and breakfast vouchers. Everyone was so incredibly nice and the room was spotless. The location is perfect. They truly saved our honeymoon and we are so grateful. Can’t wait to return!

You are walking distance to beaches with no buildings just beautiful sugar sand and grass still growing wild on the beach. The rooms are clean and spacious. The shower was very nice no curtains. I did not visit the restaurant except to grab coffee at the bar and it was excellent! They are still working at getting it in tip top shape for summer. This is a beautiful resort with beautiful views and quick access to the beach.

I am a Pensacola native and have been staying at Margaritaville since the day they opened. Our family would stay here 2-3 times a year and would dine in Frank and Lola's multiple times a week. This hotel has always been very special to us. We stayed here for the first time since 2019, this week. The hotel changed many of its policies since the beginning of COVID, which is understandable, however, we chose to not come and stay during this time period seeing as we knew the experience would not be the same. My family, (my parents, myself, and my son) checked in on Tuesday of this week. My parents were the guests at the hotel and my son and I were coming to enjoy the pool & restaurant with them with the potential of staying the night if we chose to do so (we live 30 minutes away). When it came time to check in, the front desk staff let us know that my mom and dad could come into the hotel, however, my son and I were not allowed to enter the hotel seeing as we did not have our own room - even though my parents put our name on their room. My mom and dad had already paid and said that they wanted a refund seeing as they booked this trip for all of us. The front desk girl argued with them saying that she didn't believe there was potential that my son and I could actually be staying seeing as they were getting a king-sized bed - keep in mind, the hotel isn't even at 50% capacity this week. Finally, after 15 minutes of arguing, the manager gave permission for us to come in, however, we had to park across the street even though the WHOLE parking lot was pretty much completely empty. Once we entered the hotel, we decided to have lunch at Frank and Lola's - this has always been one of our favorite restaurants in Pensacola. I will spare every tiny detail, however, I will say that this whole experience was absolutely horrible. The quality of the food has hit rock bottom, it was the equivalent of cafeteria food and was inedible to be quite honest. We very kindly asked our server what happened to all of our favorite menu items (Fried Green Tomatoes, PoBoy's, Ahi Tuna Salad, Etc.) and his response was "please, please, please go leave a yelp review. The whole staff at the hotel is hurting financially because they are running this place into the ground. Please go leave a review, and help us out. They have removed all of the fresh ingredients, the owner is doing what she has to, to get by but she doesn't care what anyone says." There was nobody eating in the restaurant, people by the pool were literally Door Dashing food, my heart was breaking for the waitstaff who couldn't make a dime because nobody wanted to eat there. It was so hard to experience this seeing as we have always had such wonderful memories here. After lunch, we went up to our hotel room. These rooms have always been the NICEST on the beach, however, they have gone downhill - fast. The room no longer had the "spa" smell it used to. Our shower was filled with mold in every nook of the grout, the balcony had mold and mildew all over and needed to be pressure washed desperately, not to mention there were weeds growing everywhere (and we were on the second floor) - it was bizarre. This hotel used to be a fabulous escape, one we looked forward to at all moments. We used to spend thousands of dollars here every year and have made many milestone memories at Margaritaville. It's heartbreaking to sit and write this review because I know that Pensacola Beach truly lost something so special. I am hoping they can fix all of these issues. We will no doubt choose the Hilton or Springhill Suites moving forward. Save your money, don't come to this establishment.

This is not a 4-star hotel. They did not even have a Bellman to carry your luggage when I arrived. (I did arrive late) I booked through a second party and I believe I got a room next to ice machine and elevator due to that. Lots of noise and if not from ice and elevator from the connecting room. Paper thin walls I guess. Made several requests for house keeping through text that were not even acknowledged. When I did get extra towels they were blue striped pool towels. They are doing every 2 day house keeping but on my second day a house keeper said I wasn’t on the schedule. I went to the desk to request housekeeping as our trash was over flowing. The did come empty trash and took dirty towels. They did not leave me fresh towels, no coffee cups, no sweeping and did not spread bed. It’s a very beautiful hotel and we did enjoy our stay but it’s not worth the price and definitely not a 4-star.

Zero housekeeping services for 7 days. We practically had to beg for clean towels...said they would provide when they cleaned the room but that never happened, so after the 3rd time asking in the same day they finally brought us some towels. And this wasn't a staffing issue...they had plenty who yelled to each other up and down the hallways until about 3:30 every day. Also, to force food and beverages to your room charges is just wrong...I never charge anything to my room but we didn't have an option and there is nowhere it informs you of this and weren't advised at check-in. Yes I filled out the survey and got the form response of 'sorry, we'll try to do better next time' but Margaritaville Resorts just gave us less service than a Motel 6 provides...let that sink in.

Beautiful suite with terrific ocean views Overall I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the hotel was. It’s clearly the best in the Pensacola with great beach access The rooms was nicely appointed and had a huge bathroom with a separate tub and walk-in shower. The hotel staff was courteous and breakfast was good It is a shame that COVID has disrupted daily room cleaning and extras like room service but this is the case almost everywhere one stays. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. If I had one critique for hotel management it’s that the hallways are starting to show their age and could use a fresh coat of paint

Beautiful hotel. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They do everything than can to make you feel welcome. The beach is amazing and not crowded. It is within walking distance from several shops and restaurants. Rooms are nice very clean hotel throughout. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

I can't begin to say enough about this hotel, and how magical they recently made our wedding weekend. Not only was this hotel very clean, nicely decorated, and has amazing views of both the gulf and the sound...but the level of INCREDIBLE customer service that myself, my husband, and all of our wedding guests received while staying there, was unlike anything I have ever seen or experienced. From the start of planning our wedding, starting a year ago, all the way to our wedding weekend, Bridget (the wedding and events director), and the rest of the staff at this hotel, truly went above and beyond for us, and they made us feel so special that entire weekend! They treated us and our guests, like guests of honor that weekend. And even in the weeks and months prior to the wedding, their communication and assistance with anything we needed, was just TOP tier. Did I mention they also have a newely remodeled and HEATED oceanfront inground pool, and a beautiful oceanfront lanai?! 😍 Please check them out. I promise you won't be disappointed!

We live in New Orleans and have been coming to Margaritaville for a decade at least 3-4 times a year, sometimes more. Everyone that knows me knows how much I love Margaritaville in Pensecola. It’s just my spot. This past weekend was just awful. The check in was a mess, we brought our own stuff to the room, we couldn’t get towels for the pool, there was no music on, we tried to eat lunch and literally couldn’t get served by the bartender so we just got up and left. There were 4 other people at the bar? They didn’t clean our room, the drinks by the pool were inconsistent, they accidentally charged us $101 for drinks there that weren’t ours. I wanted to buy a coffee mug on my way out… since they are switching over to a new name and Margaritaville has been our favorite spot for a long time. At 11:30pm on Memorial Day, the shop was closed. For $600 a night?!? The experience was almost comical. I hope the switch over will bring back the magical spot where we have made so many epic memories. This will forever will be the Memorial Day we got ripped off by Margaritaville.

We went to celebrate our 16-year Anniversary. They played the most boring and sad music at the pool. We did not hear one Jimmy Buffet song at a Margaritaville Hotel! We asked them to change the music and they said they have to legally play this music list. We heard “Sex and Candy” song being played multiple times over 4 days! How is this legal to play for kids and families but yet you can’t play any beach music at all??? How’s that make sense?! Also, the sinks in the rooms are about 2” tall and is impossible to wash your hands under the water. Those were the worst sinks I’ve seen in my life and was just pure comical. The drinks at the poolside bar were extremely expensive and hardly any alcohol. Bring your own if you want to save your money and actually taste something! Before Covid it was great and now it is going downhill. They had the main entrance blocked off and could not pick up my wife after checkout. Very odd! Hopefully they improve changing ownership/names, but I doubt we will return for that type of money spent and experience.

This isn’t at all what you’d expect from a hotel that claims to represent Jimmy Buffet. Our towels had several hairs in them and even a dryer sheet. We were able to get new ones but it was hard to overlook the obvious issues like the mold in the shower and paint chipping in the bathroom. I’m not sure if it was just our room, but there were marks all over the walls and the room looked very tired and in need of refreshment. That being said, the views of the beach cannot be beat. I just don’t appreciate finding other people’s hair in my sheets and towels. Half the staff are friendly and seem to like their job, the other half clearly wish they were somewhere else. Even the staff that host the activities aren’t really happy you’re there which was awkward. It wasn’t just a bad day, it’s clearly a culture that could use some improvement.

I have stayed at this property 3 times now (twice in my name and once in a different name — which I would be glad to give that name to the property should they ask). I think it’s an absolutely beautiful hotel and the staff is always friendly. The view and beach access is absolutely amazing! However, I was very disappointed in my most recent stay whenever I noticed my allergies flaring up BADLY and I spent the first two nights coughing. I soon noticed there was black mold growing all over the wall by the thermostat and in the shower! I pictured this below. I brought this issue up to the front desk on two separate occasions… all they did was offer drink and breakfast coupons. Black mold is a very serious allergen and I already struggle with severe allergies daily! If black mold is visibly growing on the walls, I do wonder what may be growing in the air vents and other areas that may not be seen daily. I was not happy with the way this situation was handled and based on the previous responses to the reviews, it seems the owner does not care too much to rectify any negative situations. Once you swipe your credit card, they don’t seem to care about any issues that may arise. I unfortunately will not be returning to this hotel next year…

Fantastic location and friendly staff!! Our poolside bartender, Britni went above and beyond! She helped with photos of my surprise engagement on the beach, then helped us celebrate proper right after! She’s a real gem, and worth visiting just for her 🥰❤️ I highly recommend this venue for those looking for a cool place to stay right off the strip with chill vibes. Clean facilities, multiple amenities, and great staff attitudes. Will definitely be visiting again soon! Thank you again Miss Britni!! I appreciate you and all you do 😘❤️

I wish I could rate the different aspects of the hotel. The staff knocked it out of the park with friendliness. The location is wonderful with access to the beach and being less crowded than down on the public beach side. The room only had one robe in it, which I just found odd. The one site restaurants lacked in many ways. There was no hostess stand or signage to seat yourself. Then, you had to order food at a stand (which nobody manned as their job). Once your table was served, there was no table service. The beach bar was closed even though it said it was supposed to be open. I would stay at this hotel again, but not at the resort price which I paid on this trip.

Only downside to this resort is the dining options, they weren't great. Very quiet laid back not what you would expect for a Margaritaville. Public beach it is located on is spectacular. Staff were excellent, especially Marshall at the pool bar.

I’ve grown to be a fan of Margaritaville hotels. This one lived up to my expectations. The rooms are spacious with big bathrooms. This one has water views on both sides of the hotel and was right on the beach! It was within walking distance of a number of restaurants. The staff was friendly and check in was fast. Unfortunately the pool area was being renovated so I can’t comment on that. I will also say the consistency of the drinks at the lobby bar was quite varied and the strength depended on what bartender was working. All in all I would totally stay here again.

I have stayed here twice now, and it is such a nice resort. The rooms are very clean, the staff is very friendly, and the hotel is so beautiful with a nice, laid back vibe. I’m a local and I’ve stayed at other hotels in Pensacola Beach in the last few years, and this is hands down the best one. The only thing I did not like is that there is no dedicated smoking area on the property. You have to walk all the way out to the sand to have a smoke and it’s quite a walk and I stepped on sand spurs doing so. Other beach hotels actually have nice shaded places with chairs away from everyone that are easy to access. That was a real hassle and I did not feel safe walking so far away from the hotel at night to have a cigarette.

Absolutely beautiful atmosphere! I literally had tears in my eyes when we had to leave. Even the lobby has stunning, panoramic views of The Gulf of Mexico. Our son wanted to take a swim after dark and there was a full moon...so pretty. Our room had a balcony that faced the "bay," with a great view. We hope to be able to return in the future!

I can't wait to go back. I dont even love the beach that much, but I love this location. My fiancé and I have traveled here twice and will be back in November or October of this year potentially. Loved having the door open and hearing the ocean while I slept. Bed was sandy, but I guess it is always that way. Highly recommend!

This was a beautiful hotel with lovely views. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was nice. I also enjoyed the free yoga in the morning on Saturday! I will say that the only reason I knock it a star is because, for the price, I expected a little more. It's definitely for the location. But the towels were scratchy and thin, and our A/C unit wasn't very responsive. I was surprised there wasn't a Margaritaville restaurant on site too which is totally fine. Overall, great place, and I'd definitely choose to stay here if I come back to the area.

Hard to beat this beach-front hotel, especially in November. The newly renovated hotel has a bright, coastal vibe. My room was spacious and clean. I sat on the beach-facing balcony each morning with my coffee. The shower was huge and the king bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly. The parking deck was super easy. I was glad we got to stay here for a little dose of the beach on a work trip. I hope we get to stay again.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon here! The resort is nestled right on Pensacola's coast. This high-end beach resort is pure luxury and we enjoyed every minute we were there. With three bars to choose from, evenings here were always vibrant. The on-site restaurant serves delicious meals and beverages. The heated beachfront pool is a standout, offering warm swims with an ocean view. A top choice for anyone seeking a premium beach experience in Pensacola.

Arrived and was greeted by very friendly staff and a beautiful view. I’ve traveling extensively and my room ranked as one of the top cleanest and brightest. Services throughout my stay also ranked as top 10. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. It’s a great location.

We stayed here for a recent work trip, and I must say that it was difficult to leave the beautiful surroundings to go to our meetings. The entire team was so polite and helpful and the rooms were amazing! I appreciated have a clean fitness center with proper sized towels and clean space to work out. Thank you PBR for having us as your guest!

This hotel was absolutely AMAZING! The staff was so friendly, the food was so good, the view was so awesome, our room was gorgeous and the pool was beautiful! This hotel is very very clean and well managed! Our server for breakfast and also for dinner was Kristine and she was super sweet and friendly! She went out of her way to take care of us and make our meals amazing! She is the best! Scott who greets you at the door is super friendly and welcomes you with open arms. He carted our bags and then gave us a small tour of our room which was outstanding! Our room was just a little late being completed so they gave us free drink and breakfast vouchers which made us feel great! Could not have asked for a better front desk staff! We stayed on the 4th floor in the King Executive Suite....STUNNING! We will never stay anywhere else when visiting Pensacola Beach! This hotel has it all! One of the best places we have ever stayed!

  • 2/5 Susan C. 2 years ago on Google
The beach is beautiful but that is because of Mother Nature not the hotel. We had a huge suite with beach views which was great but after that not much to write about. If you don’t have a car it gets boring because there is nothing to do here. We rode bikes to the nearby 7-11 to get water and I felt very unsafe there. The food is the same day in and day out. Everything served on paper plates plastic utensils. The room was never serviced just hung a bag of towels and water on the door. Front desk staff was very friendly and most of the bar staff were friendly for one exception. This guy never smiled or said be right with you, just said do you want to order. For what they offered in food is more like fast food. And drinks are expensive and never made the same way twice. About the room cleanliness the floor was sandy and the bathroom was clean except for mold on bottom of shower door and the toilet paper holder was hanging on the wall about ready to fall off. Overall not worth the money we spent and we have been to some very nice beach hotels this one I won’t come back to

The room was very nice and the ocean view was excellent, room was clean. The negative parts was that there was no maid service, they say its due to Rona. We could get fresh towels delivered to the room at request but again no maid service. Also, they were doing construction in the next room so needless to say major banging and noise all day and the walls are thin and you can hear conversations next door. Every single thing in the hotel is alacarte from the beach towels to $5/cup coffee. Be prepared to pay extra for everything. Tap water and parking was free. Overall my stay was pleasurable. The free late checkout was a bonus. I would rate a 2.5 but going to 3 stars since that's not an option.

Def a 5 star. I booked the top floor Room 730. It was a perfect view with the wrap around balcony to view both beach and the city. Check in was smooth and everyone was very nice. Even got $50 dollar perks to shop retail and bought our family some souvenirs to take home. Also large shower was nice. Room was very clean and smelled cleaned! Bed was comfy. Def book here!
