OK, but not outstanding. Fresh ingredients. OK preparation. I am not dissatisfied, but it was many little things that left the experience somewhat wanting. Nigiri that fall apart, because topping not held in place by a dab of wasabi paste, nor with a slice of Nori leaf. Tiny ball of wasabi not sufficient for a large plate. Inattentive staff requiring multiple attempts to get attention, resulting in frantic waving to get them to take note. There are other options in Iso Omena. Those I already tried were better.

One of the best sushi's in capitol area, the best soy sauce, absolutely. Chain restaurant, not all share same quality in sushi, soy sauce is their own recipe, so thats same in all places. Highly recommended.

This is slow food place, so be ready to wait. They has lunch time / other time menu (lunch time place is cheaper) , and plates to choose surprise sushi items, or you may order what you like. Japan style decoration with low table. Relaxed music background and japanese photos on wall.

This is a sushi chain that serves decent sushi at reasonable restaurant prices in Finland. They also provide free flow of miso soup and green tea. Do remember to add the seaweed and spring onions to the miso soup as they help to bring more flavour and texture. Service staff are courteous but table service can sometimes be slow if there are many customers to serve. It's pretty expensive to eat sushi in Finland compared to other Asian countries but among the sushi restaurants in Finland, Hanko probably had a more reasonable range of prices. They also don't sell junk sushi (ie. Sushi stuffed with kiwi or strawberries/other fruits) so that is a sign that they know their sushi. The photo below is a 10 Euro lunch serving which I tried. I've also tried the 16+ Euro set on another occasion and I feel it is more worthwhile and filling to order the 16 euro portion.

My latest visit was during Covid-19 limitations. The sushi was above average, for a lunch chain. But limiting soy wasn’t exactly a lift of customer experience...

Great value poke bowl (12,90 €). Big portion filled with different high quality ingredients. Enough salmon and avocado and good rice. Would highly recommend it, good value for a sushi place.

Sushi is above average, but selection is not enough. Waiting time is too long.

The quality of the food really good, not to much choice.

We had the salmon poke bowls (the fresh salmon and the grilled option). I had mine with salad but i would get rice next time since its more filling. The pole bowls were made from fresh ingredients which made the dish so much more delicious. I give this dish a 4 because the price is a bit too high for the serving size.

Nice location next to prisma. I had my food there and had coffee. Overall it was ok. Felt food options are bit less.

The grilled salmon was undercooked and the avocado was unripe along with the beans. Otherwise good bowl. I've eaten here many times for a long time and the quality used to be better before...

First of all, since Iso Omena doesn’t have a food court, we had 8 friends eating there and asked if the 9th person could sit with us and eat her food from a nearby restaurant. Answer was a hard no… After they started serving, one of our friends’ food was forgotten…she got her food after we asked and all the other 7 people were done eating…we got some gyoza as a compensation for this. When she was eating her dish, she found hair in the rice…so we told them and they asked us if we want a new dish or a refund?!?! Of course we should get a new dish because she still didn’t have her dinner 🫣 And we would also normally get the refund in this case since the hair was so unhygienic 😭 In the end she got a new dish and a Coke Zero but we will probably not come back again due to the bad customer service and hygiene reasons. The food was ok in general, we tried few hot bowls: Korean chicken: really small portion. Not impressed by the flavor, chicken pieces are too small and a bit dry, rice also quite dry.. Chicken Katsu: quite small portion for something you have to pay 15 euros for. This is the best out of the ones we tried. The chicken is crispy outside and soft inside. Flavor is pretty decent. Sweet pork: small portion, not much meat as all the other dishes. Pork cut weirdly into tiny pieces, rice a bit dry like the other ones. Flavor of the pork was ok but too sweet and no layers in my opinion. The portion is like not enough for a normal guy, he would have to eat something else to feel full. Was gonna give one star, but 2 because we at least got small compensation. Overall the employee looks quite lost with the situation. They don’t know what to do. One was lost and the other one looked busy and mean.
