Oh,
what
an
adventure
it
was,
visiting
this
peculiar,
yet
somehow
charming
spot!
The
place
was
unremarkable
at
best,
but
its
quirkiness
lay
in
the
open-air
terrace
that
was,
quite
hilariously,
built
on
an
actual
part
of
the
road.
You
know,
it
was
as
if
they
had
a
town
meeting
and
someone
said,
"Hey,
let's
put
a
bunch
of
tables
and
chairs
in
the
middle
of
the
road.
We'll
call
it
a
terrace.
It'll
be
fun!"
You'd
think
the
danger
of
sitting
on
an
active
thoroughfare
would
be
off-putting,
but
honestly,
it
was
sort
of
a
thrill.
Like
playing
a
real-life
version
of
Frogger,
except
instead
of
a
frog,
you're
a
semi-tipsy
patron
dodging
oncoming
traffic.
The
prices?
Oh,
they
make
you
feel
as
if
you're
paying
for
an
exclusive
experience.
Only
a
select
handful
of
bars
grace
this
stretch,
and
they’ve
caught
on
that
people
will
pay
a
premium
to
engage
in
this
oddball
terraced
dining.
You
know
the
type
-
local
high-rollers
sipping
their
fancy
sangrias,
acting
like
it's
the
most
normal
thing
in
the
world
to
have
a
Fiat
narrowly
miss
their
table.
And
speaking
of
sangrias,
they
do
know
their
stuff.
Ever
thought
about
having
passion
fruit
sangria?
Me
neither.
But
they
serve
it,
and
it
packs
quite
a
punch.
Not
a
knockout,
but
a
friendly
jab
to
the
senses
that
makes
you
think,
"Hey,
this
ain't
too
bad!"
The
staff?
Well,
bless
their
hearts,
they
were
reasonably
pleasant.
A
few
had
a
case
of
selective
blindness
when
it
came
to
non-English
speaking
patrons.
Wave
all
you
want;
you’ll
have
better
luck
summoning
a
genie
from
a
lamp
than
getting
a
nod
from
these
chaps.
Now,
would
I
go
back?
Probably
not.
Would
I
recommend
it?
Well,
if
you're
a
sangria
enthusiast
or
a
thrill-seeker
looking
for
a
bizarre
dining
experience,
absolutely!
Just
make
sure
you’ve
had
enough
sangria
courage
before
you
decide
to
take
up
the
daredevil's
seat
at
that
corner
spot
on
the
road.
Because
trust
me,
it’s
not
every
day
you
get
to
drink,
dine,
and
dodge
cars
all
at
once!
After
all
who
needs
car
parking
spot
infront
of
their
pub
when
there
are
plenty
of
parking
spots
in
front
of
other
properties.
