Easily the best meal we’ve had in Morocco after 5 days in Marrakech and Essaouira!!! The host was attentive and spoke both English and French (it’s a young guy with his mum - really sweet!). We sat outside and ordered from the set menus and a bit extra. Each dish was fantastic in its own right. Everything was fresh and tasty - full of flavour. All the food came in good time and the restaurant was full almost the whole time (it was around lunch). There was also complimentary olives to start and more bread came with each course. The crème caramel was so good we had to order a second one! Worth every penny and it’s super cheap for what it is. Would have paid double for a meal like that ❤️

I must say it maybe one of the best places I’ve had tagine in Morocco as of yet. It’s hidden in the alley ways of the city away from the hustle & bustle. The prices are also very reasonable. I’ve had many Tagines in Marrakesh but non have matched this place as of yet & as you can see it came sizzling right off the fire. Fresh! The restaurant is tiny with 3 tables but they also have seats and tables outside. The toilet was also very clean. Would definitely recommend.

We came here two times for dinner during our stay in Essaouira. It’s a lovely charming place we stumbled upon while walking the streets. They have a variety of menu du jour options as well as an extensive a la carte menu. From the first taste of the harira soup I knew we were in for a special treat and the following courses did not disappoint. We enjoyed the chicken (poulet) tajine with vegetables and the meatball (boulete viande hachee) tajine. Both were delicious! We also enjoyed mixed briouates (like samosas) and a Moroccan salad. If we were staying in town longer we would come back again! Good friendly service. The place is small and cozy and you will leave with your taste buds tingling and your heart full.

In Essaouira, I consider it the best Moroccan street food. It is a very small restaurant that you may find full all the time. You may sit in the street to eat your meal and I find it a beautiful experience.

The most delicious food I have ever eaten in my life and I am not exaggerating. The place is tiny, and you might have to wait a little to get seated, but it is totally worth it. I had Harira and the briwate, then shared a beef tagine with a friend. Everything was amazing including the deserts. I will definitely go back next time I am in Essaouira.

Lovely little cosy joint. We had one of the best dinners there. I ate my way through Morocco 😁 trying different Tagines in Marrakesh and Essaouira. This one was one of the best. The other food was nice too! Plus very friendly staff! It has only like two or three tables inside. Better get there early because this place is in high demand. For obvious reasons... 😉 Definitely worth it!!!! 👌

This is a small gem in downtown Essaouira. Sure, you’ll find countless of restaurants offering the famous tajine but have no doubt: this is one of the best places to try it. Tajine poulet citron is juicy, tender and the flavor is fantastic. Prices are more than fair and the freshness of each dish speaks about the quality and care from the chef. A place definitely worth making the journey to! One tip: the place is small with only a few tables so make sure to come either a bit early or plan to wait a bit for a table!

I am glad I stopped by this place to have their incredible « tajine au poulet à la tfayah ». It was absolutely delicious!!!! Waiter was very kind to us and served us pretty quickly, everything was perfect at this place.

We came for dinner around 8 pm. I ordered Moroccan soup and vegetable tajin. Both were great. The service was good also. The place is really small so we were a little bit crowded. Overall experience nevertheless was great and I recommend the place for everyone willing to sacrifice a bit of space for great food and authentic atmosphere.

Cute place! But tooooo narrow if you eat inside. U can barely move at all. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the decors inside is also traditional and beautiful.

Got here before 1pm, place was really small but we were lucky to get a table outside. This was our best meal in our 4 days of Morrocco (from Marrakesh) Had the beef samosas, sardine balls tajine and shrimp tajine, simply wonderful! Kudos to mama for her cooking we loved every bit of it, really good quality. No regrets would recommend this place to anyone who visits Essaouira

The best traditional food we have had during our time in Morocco! Very small restaurant, worth waiting for a table. Chicken tajine, sardine tajine and all of the salads are amazing!! Would recommend to anyone in Essaouira.

We absolutely loved our dinner here! The best beef tajine that we have had our whole trip! We also had the Moroccan salad and samosas and they were absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant! Try get in early as there was a line when we left and the restaurant is only small - part of the charm!

We stumbled upon this place somewhat by chance during a day trip to Essaouira. It's a tiny little restaurant with just a handful of seats inside and a couple of tables on the alley outside. We were pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the hostesses and the exquisite dishes they offered. Every dish on the menu, from appetizers to desserts, amazed us with its flavor and attention to detail. A special shout-out to the “Tajine de poulet au tfaya” (sweet chicken tajine with caramelized raisins and onions), truly delightful. Excellent value for money. Although due to the limited space, it's best for couples or small groups of 3-4 people, we highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

The most special and hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Essaouira! Ordered the veg briouates, goat cheese salad, eggplant app and sardine ball tagine. Thank you so much Sayed for recommending this restaurant. The sardine tagine was such a standout and memorable dish from our time in Morocco. It has the perfect amount of tang and spice. Highly recommend coming early as there are limited seats and this restaurant fills up last!

Had a great meal here! Pleasant and friendly service. Delicious food 👍 family run restaurant, make you more convinced that you are having an authentic Moroccan food. Waiter was very honest and recommended me not to get too much food. Would definitely come back and try more options here!

Best food in town! This place should get a medal! Dishes here are the classics but they taste one big step higher than the second best restaurant we tried. The owner and his mom are super friendly attached to detail. Make sure you go there

Splendid little joint with literally 3 tables inside and a couple more outside in a quiet little alley. Service is splendid, food is excellent and their set menus, as well as the à-la-carte dishes, are a great value. One of my favorites in Essaouira!
