The place looks cool with all the vibrant colours and deco right in front of the ocean. We were very excited when we arrived, we did not have a table booked, most of the tables were empty, but with a reserved sign on it, however we did manage to get a table and right in front of the ocean. It took us over 20 minutes to get the attention of a waitress and then 20 more minutes to get a beer and a gin tonic. We ordered water as well and we need to remind the waitress about it. To order the food it also took long, the service was not great as nobody would come and check on us to see if we need anything. The curious part is that the place was not full, there were quite a few staff around but they were apparently busy talking and looking around. It was a pity as the place has good vibes and tunes. The food was good, prices were high and I believe that if you are just looking for a place for a quick stop and drink, this might worth it a visit. A good point is that there is a parking right behind the restaurant, so it was easy to access the place.

This place is like stepping into a California beachside rustic restaurant in the 70s or 80s Really good food, great flavours and presentation. Great service. Wonderful relaxed atmosphere. Something different.

Came here last year and loved it but didn’t have the same great experience this time. Service is slow and I ended up having to go up to a waiter and ask for the bill. ‘French fries’ are simply not fries! I asked the waiter if they had thicker chips to which she replied that there was a problem with the fryer. Very difficult to eat the ‘fries’ as you can’t even put a fork into them are so thin - and not many of them.

Overpriced and Underwhelmed. Staff not wearing PPE. Dirty tables and grubby furniture. 18€ for 2 small beers and 2 wines. Tourist prices, keep walking there is better further along.

One of the nicest locations near Estepona especially if you are a dog owner. Great Service. Good food and a fantastic view. It's not the cheapest restaurant (Burger 14€) but I can totally recommand it. Dogs are even allowed in the bar.

Love this place. Such a chilled out venue to really relax and soak up the Mediterranean vibes. Food is really good and the staff are very friendly.

Sort of hard to find it if this is your first time. If you pass the exit from the freeway, you will find yourself in a series of loops to change direction twice before trying again… but once you find it, it’s spectacular. I highly suggest to make a reservation. The place design is amazing right in front of the ocean with vibrant colors and interesting decor and very lush which I love. The green and decor reminds me a bit of Mexico. A bit of a hippie vibe without the hippie prices. Prices are high but considering the location and the beautiful presentation of their dishes and flavor you could think that the high prices could be justified. Yet, some of their dishes, I do feel they are overpriced for what you get, specially the fish. I dislike their bread basket presentation. First, the presentation is horrible. Honestly, it looks like they gathered all the random pieces of bread they had around and threw them in a basket with a white sauce dripping on to the basket. Second, I don’t understand how a place that present their dishes in such a beautiful way, they would do this with the bread. Third, they will charge you for the bread regardless, whether you eat it or not. If it wasn’t because of this, they would definitely deserve 5 stars. The senda litoral crosses right where the restaurant is so you can also park in another location and take a nice walk to the restaurant. Their guacamole is one of the best that I found in the area. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Also, your dogs are more than welcome at this restaurant.

Serendipity is all! We were returning from a fairly long walk, on one of the last days of our holiday. Chiringuito Sonora Beach presented an ideal opportunity a coffee. The dappled awning presented an unexpected bonus - an opportunity for an unusual photo. Altogether a happy experience.

Very nice Chiringuito! Bohemian chique, with Barcelona hippy style personnel who speak very good English. Fast service, good food and drinks. The gyoza’s were the best we had ever!! Really nice balanced flavors in that dish. Didn’t think it would be this nice, but they were awesome 😍 The Pad Thai on the other hand was ok, nothing special, it was fine but a bit boring. I have to mention especially the choice of music and level of volume, really good! 🙏🏻 The prices were pretty high, a bit Marbella style. If the rest of the menu is close to the gyoza’s, that would be nice, if it’s like the PT, then that would be too bad 😉 Will definitely be back to try more…

The food and drinks where really good! A beautiful place on the beach. I really recommend going here for a lunch, just to experience the design, vibe and take beautiful pictures. The disappointment where the prices, the beach with lots of rocks and the sunbeds that, yes they are soft, but they don't breath. Not so comfortable on a hot summer day.

Delicious dishes, but a bit overpriced. The view of the sea and the interior of the restaurant are spectacular. I advise you to visit this place, but it's better to book a table in advance. Quite a popular restaurant.

Spend an afternoon at the beach with friends in this bar. The cocktails are very very good at a fair price (12/cocktail). Food I didn't try and was more expensive. The place itself had a really nice and chill atmosphere.

Nice food but limited menu. Atmosphere nice with a DJ playing decent music. Lots of dogs running around so stay clear if you don’t like them. Service ok but rather haphazard. Ate twice here in a week so couldn’t have been too bad.

Very lively and vibrant place with a unique atmosphere. 👍🏻Loved the food and the vibe, everyone was having a great time! 👍🏻Pet friendly. 👍🏻Accessible with wheelchair/baby carriage. 👉🏻Long time waiting (30’-40’) if you don’t have a reservation. 👉🏻Staff is loving and warm, but service is slow. ❌They raise the prices ridiculously high during the summer months.

Very nice place overall. I really enjoyed it and loved the pet friendly environment. On the other hand, menu choices at night are somewhat limited (e.g. no barbecue, no pad thai...). Location is unbeatable and parking is easy. I would recommend overall

Pretty good place to go. Nice vibe. Service a bit slow sometimes but that's ok when you are in a beach bar. Menu is more limited in the evening times. All of the cocktails are excellent and the wine list is good and not too expensive!! Enjoy

Great location, nice boho style and large portions of all the dishes we had. We didn't have more space in our stomachs to finish the last dish but luckily for us (we don't like to waste food), there were some adorable dogs that we fed them and played with them in the duration of our main courses. Comfortable couches and really nice vibe to enjoy your lunch! Will come back

This is one of the more popular beach bars in the area, particularly with expats. Sonora Beach is about 6k outside of Estepona Town which is why most visitors to this chiringuito either live nearby or travel just to get here. Live djs contribute to the chilled out vibe, where you sit among the palm trees at shabby-chic tables. The menu is nice and there are many vegan friendly dishes, but the prices are steep so be prepared to spend some cash.

Good food, friendly and helpful people. The beach, like the bar/restaurant has a very 'relaxed' atmosphere; so don't expect a lot of luxury but definitely worth a visit.

Funky bohemian chiringuito you must frequent. Order the Sonora burger if you like it fully stacked. Sit in the sun and enjoy..
