If a resident of Estepona from the 1940s was somehow transported to the present day there's not much they would recognise of their town, but Escollera would be a comforting reminder of home. If you want to visit one restaurant for a true taste of Estepona then this should probably be the one. The mussels taste of the sea! Be prepared to wait in line If you come during high season and you haven't booked ahead. (By the way, you can't book ahead because they don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait). It's worth it though. The freshest seafood and incredibly good service regardless of how busy it gets. Fantastic.

Best place for fresh seafood. There's always a queue, so better to go earlier. But it's worth it to stand in the queue. Looks typically Spanish with great food.

The best restaurant in the Costa del Sol. Getting a table here is very difficult and you have to wait long, but it is so worth it. During our 10 day vacation we came here 4 times. The freshest seafood you can imagine, especially for this price. We spent usually around 40€ per person. During our first visit we ordered the carabineros for 110€, so expensive but they were so good. Yes, you have to fight to get the waiters attention, but that doesn’t bother me. The best things to order: octopus salad.

Highly recommended A big variety of very tasty fresh fish. Very reasonably priced. The place is always busy. I keep going back to this restaurant every time I visit Estepona.

Great hidden local gem. Fresh seafood with great prices. Situated at the beginning of the port and not so pretty view but definitely worth every morsel. We had the Octopus salad, grlled fish and anchovies, and a salad. 33 euros.. No reservations so expect a short wait so get there ahead of time. Will definitely return if I am here again

Visited the night of a sandstorm. It was well worth the wait and being nlasted by sand to eat here. Seafood was fresh and the dishes we ordered were tasty and well seasoned to bring out the flavour of the seafood. We had grilled fish, prawns pil pil and scallops. And for desserts we ordered the orange tiramisu and the brownies. The tiramisu was the star, would not recommend the brownies unless you were wanting just a standard sweet.

I can see why this is a top rated places and listed in many guides as the best place for seafood in Estepona. It was busy when we arrived for lunch and kept getting busier. The waiters are fantastic, buzzing around busily taking orders and serving - very efficient. It’s obviously a place locals go, as the waiters seem to know people well. Everything we ordered was terrific. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Perfect! Fresh, delicious, simple. Only fish and seafood. No reservation but it’s worth to wait for the table. You can order house vine or beer and just wait for the best culinary experience in Estepona.

Used to go here almost everyday about 25 years ago. 5 years ago managed to get to eat maybe 5 times in a two week stay. This time been here almost 2 weeks, every day for lunch or dinner is always busy with a waiting list of approximately 50-70 people waiting for a table. No reservations allowed, just show up & pray you get a seat! The food was superb in the past, don’t know now but most likely it’s still good. Used to be just locals knew the place, now it seems the world knows about it!

Excellent fresh seafood. The best place to have some in the Costa del Sol area. Note that they are closed daily from 16 to 20 and open at 20:00:00. Be there and be prepared to queue. They take no reservations. First come first serve. Definitely worth the wait!

Delicious food, we also eat a Fish (calamares and mix of fishes) - perfect, freshly fish. In a menu a lot of good wines 👌🏼 desserts -PERFECTO. Dinner for two with starters, main courses, desserts and 2 bottles of wine only 80 Euro 😍

Always the best, have eaten here numerous times, every time the food is so fresh, why wouldn't it be being in the port where they land the fish? The service is always friendly, efficient and the whole experience can only be described as excellent. We will continue to go back there on numerous occasions.

Wonderful and very popular seafood restaurant. It gets really busy from 12:30 onwards and you can't reserve. They have fish to eat that you've never even heard of. Being next to the fishermen the fish is always totally fresh, plentiful and not expensive. Definitely a great place to go, very popular with the locals but it's hard to get a table sometimes and you have to put your name down at the bar for one if it's full. Mind you, you can snack on some lovely tapas whilst you wait for your table and enjoy a couple of beers :)

The seafood is amazing. The fish and the seafood are fresh and there is a wide variety to choose from. The display case is a nice feature. We had to wait for a table, but there are bar tables outside just for people waiting, where you can order drinks and starters from the waiter that comes to you. The bread that was complimentary was slightly stale. If you come late you will have to wait a long time to get seated. The menu is long. Around 80 positions. The prices are fair. If you're coming in a group I recommend getting different dishes to share. The taste of the fried or grilled seafood is incredible. However, this is caused by the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The vast majority of the dishes in the menu are extremely simple, in the contents and the tastes. No sides come with the dishes. The batter for the deep fried seafood and fish is good, yet bland and with little seasoning. Some of the dishes were fried slightly unevenly, like the fried calamari, which could differ from piece to piece, with some of them being chewy while others fried perfectly. Because there are no sides in the dishes themselves I recommend ordering a dish made of vegetables from the entrees. The desserts were very good. The waiters had a lot of work to do and quite rarely came to the table. Their proficiency in English is a lottery but there should be no problems placing your order in. Some of the waiters seem overly hurried, slamming drinks onto the table. The back of the restaurant where the tables are is effectively in a parking lot. While the visit was pleasant, and I'm sure I'll visit again for the fresh seafood; there are things that could be done to make this place better.

Well this is so typical. Avoid the tourist traps in the Port, go here. I do not speak a word Spanish but the menu is clear, the waiters are good and last but not least...the food is GREAT! You should go and try your luck because it is busy and you might have to wait but it's all worth it !!

Nice restaurant specialising in fish and seafood. They don’t take reservations so get down just before 8pm to grab a table for dinner. Food was delicious and staff are happy to help in choosing food options!

Everytime we go to spain we need to go to this place. Prices are very good for the quality. Every dish is amazing.

Wow, this place is a well run operation which is a pleasure to witness. They don’t take bookings and only open at 8pm when there’s people queueing out the door. The service is quick without feeling rushed, the food is top quality and the atmosphere is great. If you want a ‘luxury’ restaurant maybe this isn’t the place but if you want good quality, a local feel and the most efficient and friendly staff I’ve seen in Estepona then this is the place. I’d come back again and again. Highly recommend you go here!

Located in the port of Estepona amidst the warehouses of the local fishermen and overlooking the fishing boats bobbing in the harbor you will find a place to eat fresh fish and seafood. Here you you don't find no ambiance, luxury or frills, the restaurant is noisy, the service is noisy and the decor sparse. You only come here for one thing and that is to eat fresh fish and seafood. No spectacular culinary achievements but just everything the Spanish way, fish and seafood straight from the boat on your plate. What do you want more, sun, sea, wine and simple well prepared food.

Very popular sea food restaurant with a big options to choose from . . Very well known and established restaurant that Spanish people love , even locals come from far away with families and friends come to this restaurant and also very popular with tourists , always busy and situated by the sea and the Marina. They always have catches of the day ! . They don’t do any advertising as such , but very busy 👍

Best fish restaurant in Estepona and surrounding area. Large selection of fresh fish dishes, so if you love fish this is the place to be for lunch or dinner.

It’s in fact true that this is a must stop in Estepona. Awesome fresh seafood, paired with great service and reasonable prices. Will come back!

Best octopus salad I’ve ever eaten and fresh, tasty oysters 🙂 the only thing which wasn’t fine (and that’s the reason of 4 stars) was old bread - it had around 2-3 days.

We loved it!! Great food, very, very local and the service is great (they are like synchronized swimmers dancing perfectly efficient an accurately in always a full restaurant!). The location/ambiance is maybe not so "great" (fishermans' port) and you have simple tables with paper cloth BUT if you really want to have delicious seafood and sit between locals, that's the right place. Just a hint: they open in the evenings from 8:00 p.m. on. We were always there approximately at 8:30 p.m. and got always a table. But we saw that up 9:00 p.m. got really full!

Excellent quality fish dishes. Rapid and superb service by friendly staff. One of our favorites in Estepona for a ‘fast’, excellent and reasonably priced lunch.

Really great seafood at this place next to the fish Market. Bustling place with mostly locals queuing for tables, waiters rushing around with drinks and food. Stools at barrel tables at the front, proper tables in the restaurant and out in the carpark! Expect super fresh seafood, we had garlic clams, razor clams, grilled fish, and calamari, octopus salad and shellfish. Don't expect fancy dining. Be prepared to queue and hassle the waiters for service. It's worth it for the feel of real local life.
