Beware
when
booking
that
the
photographs
they
provide
are
extremely
deceiving.
The
view
from
the
property
is
nice
but
the
actual
grounds
are
poorly
maintained.
The
room
itself
was
hostel
like
and
uncomfortable
to
be
in.
There
was
no
mention
that
it
was
essentially
a
jack
and
Jill
room
with
a
shared
entrance
to
the
other
room,
posing
a
security
risk
for
me
and
my
travel
companion
as
two
young
women.
Worst
of
all,
upon
entering
our
room,
there
was
a
sharp
smell
of
mildew
or
mold.
We
tried
to
stay
for
an
hour
to
see
if
we
would
get
accustomed
to
the
smell,
but
it
was
unbearable
and
gave
me
a
headache,
so
we
decided
to
leave.
The
presence
of
plug
in
air
fresheners
and
an
old
dehumidifier,
to
me,
shows
that
the
owners/managers
are
aware
that
there
is
an
issue
with
smell
but
still
choose
to
put
customers
in
the
room.
I
don’t
think
that’s
acceptable,
especially
considering
their
attempts
at
masking
the
bad
smell
did
not
work.
The
owner
offered
to
place
us
in
another
room,
but
because
of
all
the
issues
I
mentioned,
which
go
beyond
the
condition
of
the
room
and
reflect
the
general
standards
of
the
hotel,
we
declined.
Declining
their
“upgrade”
offer
seemed
to
offend
the
owner,
so
she
refused
to
refund
us
for
our
stay
because
we
“used”
the
room
for
1
hour,
in
an
attempt
to
tough
it
out
and
see
if
we
would
get
used
to
the
smell.
We
bit
the
bullet,
and
got
another
hotel.
I
was
not
going
to
stay
in
a
room
that
caused
a
headache
because
the
smell
was
so
bothersome,
and
ruin
my
vacation.
