coco shrimp is superior but they only give 5 (wish it came with more). food was otherwise just alright, maybe we didn't order the really good dishes so we will come back to try out more dishes. not sure why this place is super hyped, it's average at best.

DELICIOUS. A bit hidden but I found it by sorting Google Maps by rating. So many cute touches like all these explanations of the chef’s family and experiences. Top tier food, really feels like it’s one person’s vision from their dorm room but it’s gourmet. Super interesting flavours, got that perfect balance of sweet + salty + acidic + more in every bite. Will be back. I suggest everything below that I got (tomato Kim chi, steak award winner, strawberry cheesecake).

I've been here for an escape from a twin mommy, and it's not disappointing me. The chicken is crispy with perfect sauce, and the Asahi beer enhances the flavor to another level. I read the owner's story and I feel it, as a daughter missing her mom food for a long long time. Highly recommend

A lovely little place with an intricate setting and flavourful food! You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, and the portions are generous. Amazing service and great ambience, with the walls adorned with the chef's story and background in creating the dishes on the menu. The Drug Salad was made fresh and (true to its name) was truly addictive, the Korean style fried chicken was perfectly seasoned and is a great sharing plate, and the Pig Bulgogi was well spiced. The highlight was the Sun Cloud Rock and Snow - four elements represented in a bowl with (sun)ny side up (cloudy) egg, onion or meat patty (rock) on a bed of rice (snow). Cannot wait to visit again!

The story behind this restaurant helps you understand the aesthetics of the atmosphere. All their food we had was delicious even their side salad had a unique dressing made to perfection.

I went here for lunch with my bestie and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT 😭😭 she had a salmon plate and I had the fried chicken on waffle and we both really enjoyed our food. Oh my goodness, I can still remember the smell of the batter cooking!! I had some leftovers that I put in the air fryer the next day. I was so happy. I will 200% come back, decor is intimate, food is hella tasty and the prices are very fair. (ALSO THANK YOU FOR PUTTING JAY PARK ON SPOTIFY <3)

Very affordable meal that’s very home style feeling. Seasoning in their salad is really addictive - slightly sweet, spicy and tangy. Their signature scrs bowl brings together everything you’d want in a filling main. A well seasoned beef patty on top of a bowl of rice, with a whipped egg. The egg yolk helps create a really rich sauce that combines everything alongside the katsu sauce. Their homemade ice cream is very creamy and delicious, while their cheesecake uses black sesame to great effect to compliment the lighter strawberry taste

Small place with big character. Visited this place over the weekend for lunch and the service was great, even though there was just one server working at the time. The food was delicious, well balanced and portion sizes were very good. I ordered the Heat Is Coming (Sweet and Spicy boneless 🐔) and the original Sun Cloud Rock and Snow bowl - both dishes are highly recommended👍🏽.

Went to Her Chef with my partner while visiting Toronto. We couldn’t have been happier! I’m vegan and it’s always a bit more difficult for me to find great food. The “Inner Peace” dish did not disappoint at all. My partner ordered the KingKatsu and was as happy as I was. The flavour was just incredible, and the portion generous. Will recommend to all our friends that are living here!!

This is not your traditional Korean restaurant! It feels like soulful Korean food with a contemporary twist (and a sprinkling of playfulness in the dish names), at an affordable price. I tried the kingkatsu, chicken croffle, and sun kissed peach tea. The kingkatsu initially appeared to be in a small bowl but the portion is actually good, especially given the price. I really enjoyed the katsu sauce! The chicken croffle was a very innovative dish and I thought it was great for sharing. And I found that the peach tea complemented very well with those two dishes, making the fried food feel less dry. All in a cozy, homey environment. Would definitely come back to try the other dishes! Just note that the restaurant is quite small with limited (and somewhat tight) seating. We got there early (around 5:30 PM) and there was no wait, but by the time we left there were people waiting at the entrance already.

Have you ever been to a restaurant where the menu reads like a love letter? Come to Her Chef!! I genuinely recommend reading the menu in its fullness from start to finish. Very charming. I had the salmon lover bowl and it was good, but could use more sauce or flavouring. I then had the croffle for dessert and it was DIVINE. A must get. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very charming, but the bathrooms could use a bit more cleaning. Reasonable prices though!

What a wonderfull experience. From the small quaint interior and its the story of its owner that dresses its walls. To the exquisite food that has love and care put into it. Not only that but they do have a vegan option so just about anyone can enjoy this fantastic restaurant.

It was okay. Some of the dishes were REALLY good, while others were mediocre. For instance, the dishes: "Sun, Cloud, Rock, and Snow" (the one with the cloud egg on top) and "Salmon Lover" were definite standouts. On the other hand, the "Coco Shrimp" and "Korean Style Fried Chicken" weren't too impressive. The portions are on the smaller size, which makes the prices quite high for how much you actually get. Personally, I wouldn't go here again.

Amazing experience there! It is not your typical Korean restaurant here, they have many dishes that I have never seen in other Korean restaurants! S.C.R.S rice bowl: I personally think it is a must try here! The presentation was so pretty, and usually with good looking food I don’t have a high expectation for the flavour but it was so tasty. The egg was made such that it was so soft, if you take a spoon of the rice and piece of the egg white the mixed texture is amazing. Salmon lover: I didn’t particularly like or dislike this dish that day. The salmon was not that fresh, but the sauce was very good. Steak salad (forgot the full name): was also amazing! The steak was cooked at the right level for me and it was very soft and easy to eat. The sauce for the salad goes very well with the salad. I tried to have a spoon of the scrs rice with a piece of steak on top, it was amazing and made my Friday perfect :) I would def revisit!

Came here for my birthday and got karaage , Korean BBQ bowl, steak salad, and Salmon lover bowl. I was surprised that everything that we had was so incredible and reasonably priced. I would honestly get everything again it was so delicious. We also got the Canadian dessert and peach soju

It's my first time trying the winterlicious at this restaurant and although the place is small, the food packs an awesome punch. We ordered the breaded shrimp for starters with the sogogi for the mains. This was accompanied by the dessert which consisted of a cruffle with ice cream, mini choco chips and a side of maple syrup. The person who served us was delightful too. The SCRS is a must try because the egg whites was soufflé and the yoke looked like the sun emerging from the clouds. Overall everything was delicious, and beef was tender and the only thing was I wish I could have lots more.

A hidden gem in old k-town serving Asian Fusion dishes. It's small and intimate place. My partner and I got first place steak salad and chicken mayo bowl. The first place steak salad, didn't disappoint, the steak melted in your mouth and was surprisingly filling for a salad! Would definitely go back a second time!

Such a great understated spot in Korea town. Loved reading about the history behind the place as well (see photos). Super nice chef and quick service, but the star of the show is the food. We had the steak salad, mayo chicken, and SCRS, and all 3 were hits. The mayo chicken is something I’m definitely going to come back for - those juicy chunks of fried chicken have burned a spot in my food memory 😍. Thank you Chef Hur!

Literally one of the best quick service restaurants in Toronto. Everything I’ve tried here Including the Salmon Lover, Big Tuna, Pho, Pig Bulgogi is amazing. Though the salmon lover remains my favourite. Amazing and fast service. Very cozy and friendly environment.

Went here for the winterlicious lunch. $20 (before tax and tips) for so much good food! I got the tomato kimchi salad, chicken mayo, and the homemade ice cream. Super filling and actually enough to take some leftovers home. Delicious food as well! :)

Cute authentic Korean Asian fusion restaurant. Randomly found this on Google maps and it did not disappoint! The flavour, portion sizes and prices are perfectly on par. Definitely recommend the S.C.R.S & chicken mayo bowl. So filling and delicious. I’d be interested to come back and try the other items on the menu. Really cute back story of how the restaurant came to be, ambience has a nice vibe and friendly staff and service. Love supporting local restaurants.

Great place for Korean, I loved how the dishes were reminiscent of classic Korean dishes but with a twist. Everything tasted great and fresh, and there was clearly a lot of thought put into each dish. Recommend the pig bulgogi, was delicious!

My friend and I were sharing a celebratory lunch and every single item was perfection - kimchi, radish, wings, gochugang pork, shrimp, chicken salt potatoes, drug salad, whipped peach tea. Will be going back asap to eat more delicious food. Service was very friendly.

The food from the HerChef kitchen is truly inspired! The Chicken Croffle hits all the notes, crispy, savory, juicy chicken atop a buttery croissant-like waffle, with a honey mustard dressing and fresh greens in vinegrette to cut through the richness. Add a side of pickled radish for extra perfection! See picture! A new addition to the excellent menu, is the the best Korean BBQ I've ever enjoyed, with pickled onions and warm rice. And this masterpiece is only $12.99. I like to add on deep fried garlic. Soooo goood! See picture with a side order of Edamame. Thank You Chef Hwa!!! Also Thank You! to the very attentive servers!

Delicious and well-priced! I ordered the SCRS (Sun, Cloud, Rock and Snow). The egg white was so fluffy, it was a very interesting dish. My friend ordered the Mayo Chicken and it was also really good. Would come here again! Took pictures of the menu while waiting for my friend 🙄

Very small and way too loud, can’t even hear yourself think. BUT the food was so good and the waiter was sweet (we don’t remember his name). Hilarious that there is a juice box on the menu for only 1$!! Came here after we reserved a table at a different Korean restaurant and they apparently were closed, we were not disappointed.

A small little place that serves the best home cooked meals. We enjoyed their steak salad and The Heat is Coming fried chicken. So so good! The steak may looked overcooked in the picture, but trust me. It was perfect. The steak salad dressing is literally crack. Will definitely cone back again! Thank you Her Chef ❤️

SCRS Original was amazing! But be careful with spicy sea food - it was heated spicy even for a person who is used to it. The atmosphere is lovely. Take a minute to get to know the chef via reading the story on the wall, it will make you feel at home 🫶🏻

Super nice food and quick service, loving their SCRS original and the drug salad. Their decoration design might be simple but is full of love
