A very flavourful little Indian - Hakka restaurant with chic vibes. They have an extensive menu with a lot of options for proteins and flavours. I found the spice level very enjoyable, definitely could be spicier, but the flavours of the herbs and spices really come through! My favourite dish of the night was the chicken 65, well cooked chicken with a ton of flavour! The naan was nice and crisp, the portions were generous and the staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend you to go give it a try!

Authentic Indian and Hakka restaurant, love the plants around the bar! Gives it a rustic earthy vibe. I have been here maybe 6 times now and every time the food has been absolutely delicious. I usually get a different type of biryani and a few other dishes on the side. No matter what you order I’m telling you you will love it. Something about this place, it’s always busy no matter what time of day or night you go. Make a reservation if you plan on having more than 2 people.

Food was allright however service was spectacular. Triple schezwan noodles were decent. The grilled platter was doused in butter, so I couldn't taske the charcoal grill. However, their fried Chili Momos were the show stealer. 😋

I drove all the way from Niagara just to eat this.We were a table of 5 authentic Indian food try the fried rice you’ll love it don’t go for the tandoori chicken won’t taste like Indian food it’s sweet I ordered a mango lassi was really good the food was quick within 10 minutes the food arrived I really loved the place was little dark maybe need some lighting. The server was polite loved it would definitely come again.

The food is very good, typical Indian cuisine, original flavors, very tasty. But as someone mentioned in previous comments, the service is VERY POOR. Read before You decide to come here with some higher expectations. We wanted to order two dishes, I was decided right away, my girlfriend asked for a few more minutes, because she wasn't sure what she wanted to order. But unfortunately the waiter did not come back to her. After about 10 minutes my meal arrived and my girlfriend didn't even place her order. Maybe the owners should think about it and speak with their people, since negative opinion appears not for the first time in the comments. Another minus are the drinks served in cans. If I would like to drink cola or sprite from a can, I would buy it in the supermarket. In a restaurant, drinks are expected to be served in glasses, not straight out of a can with paper straw. Unless it's not a restaurant but a bar with poor service? Then as for a bar, prices are much too high.

Good Food + Good Vibes + Good Service = Bawara Restaurant. We all loved the food and everything was perfect taste and portion wise. Highly recommend if are looking for a Indian restaurant on Bloor street. Just a drawback is that, place is little small for a larger group but other than that, must try!!

Ordered Chicken chilli and triple schezwan for takeout. This is the second time i have ordered hakka chinese from this restaurant. I am utterly disappointed with the quality of food here. The Chilli Chicken was chewy, with big chunks of onion in there. Both the preparations were salty and burnt- see attached photo. I had a horrible stomach flu the next day. And the amount of food colour was crazy. The add egg option for triple schezwan is a joke. Safe to say, I will be taking my business to Mumbaikar restaurant that makes much better triple schezwan.

Absolutely DELICIOUS food! Got the hot and sour shrimp soup, chicken wings, and chicken tikka with roti. While the shrimp in the soup were small and there weren’t many, the flavour made up for it in spades, and it was a super delicious introduction to the meal, i wish i’d gotten another order!The chicken wings were SO flavourful, not spicy but impeccably seasoned, everything here was just totally bursting with flavour. the chicken tikka was amazing too, it was a little bit sweet for me, but that is more personal preference. Service was pretty good and the restaurant has beautiful artwork all around the walls, there isn’t a doubt in my mind i’ll be back. Absolutely delicious food at a reasonable price is hard to find these days and yet here it is, I had an overall awesome experience and I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch :)

Had an amaaaaazing experience here! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We were served by Omkar, it was a pleasure to meet him. He was very accommodating and added to our pleasant experience. Definitely recommend this place if you are craving good hakka food!

I went with my friends. Ambience was very nice. Gaurav suggested thier best dishes for us when we little confused in ordering. We ordered triple schezhwan, hakka, panner 65, chicken 65, kadhai panneer and garlic Naan. All the dishes were amazing. I went every bite as every bite was flavorful. Food is delicious here. You can pick the spice level as per your suited taste. There are many vegetarian options and also many hakka options. Service was quick, and the staff was friendly. The restraraunt feels a bit compact from inside, but there is plenty of space to sit. Street Parking is available right outside, which is paid, but I believe after 6 pm, it is free. Bawara means crazy and you will be crazy not to try this place!!!

The staff is super active, well mannered and professional. Food quality is great. It's tasty and you can customise the spiciness as per. The ambience is lively. Go for it.

Visited Bawara on the occasion of our anniversary. We are pure vegetarians and the food was delicious. Specially recommend chilli fried momos and tandoori chaap by Chef Deepak. The host Omkar was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
