This is the first place since the pandemic that was worth what we paid for. The carbonara was delicious, if you don't know what to get off the menu try that one. The texture of the udon noodles is out of this world, and the flavour is creamy, umami, and savoury without being too overwhelming. The green onions add a nice freshness to it, and the dish comes with a thick slice of milk bread. The bread is also heavenly, with a light buttery flavour but not oily. I usually can't finish a whole dish myself, but this one was so good I still finished it even after I was full. My friends got the Chasu Eggs Benny, which they also claim to have enjoyed. I tried one of their smashed potatoes, and it was PERFECT. Crispy and salted on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. Every bite was a delight. The only thing I wouldn't reorder is the Karaage chicken, it was 7.80 with the sauce, very tasty, but it was only two pieces that were just slightly larger than normal. The wait was kind of long, think 25 to 30 minutes after ordering, but at the end it was all worth it. This place has a maximum 90 minutes seating time. The location is in a bit of a sketchy area, but I would definitely come back.

Great price for the money as the portion is huge. Their brunch dishes retain the British/Western style but are seasoned in Asian approaches. Very creamy and flavorful but balanced. The store is very small so there is always a wait list on the weekend and the seating isn't very comfortable.

Amazing place all round! Best scrambled egg/roast potatoes I've ever had. Great range of drinks. My friends iced matcha latte was gone in 60 seconds. Only issue we had was sitting at the window on a hot day, but the staff brought us pegs to peg the curtains together after they noticed us melting.

A very cozy cafe serving delicious Japanese-inspired brunch items! We arrived just before 10:30 on a Saturday. We put our name down for two on the waitlist and had about four groups ahead of us. The wait was under 20 minutes, which wasn’t that bad considering how limited the seating is. However when we left we saw the waitlist was way longer so I’d recommend coming early. We got the hojicha and matcha kyoto lattes to drink which we both enjoyed. They have condensed milk in them (which is what sets it apart from the regular lattes), making it very rich and sweet. For our mains we ordered the Tonkatsu Sando and the Karaage and Waffles. Both dishes were delicious and filling! I do wish there was more sauce on the sando, as we could barely tell there was any there and over time it felt a bit dry. We also appreciated the side salads that came with the meal, as it was a nice compliment to the heaviness of the meals.

Great brunch food in an intimate setting. Prepare to line up as there are no reservations noting that the lines should move fast as they have time limits for table sittings I tried the Karaage Waffles and they were great. The chicken was tender and flavorful and their sauces really added to the taste. Their waffles were okay, nothing too remarkable mainly because the mapple syrup was also just okay. The menu has a bunch of different items that I would definitely need to try. They also offer on the go sandwiches and coffee drinks for reasonable pricing.

Perfect cafe for brunch alone or with some friends— beware though it is pretty small so make sure to come at non-busy hours. Tried the salmon benny and it's really good! Decemt smashed potato; very savory and crispy on the outside. My friend tried the karaage and waffles; the miso syrup is actually so tasty. They also have a spin promo going on and we all got different prizes like free drinks and snacks.

Hidden gem in Toronto to grab an excellent breakfast. The place from the inside is small with a couple of tables for parties of two and a few for larger parties. The food was delicious and easily one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in Toronto. Also, their coffee was great, and it is on the level of several high-end coffee shops around the city. Service was excellent.

We definitely had a great time here for brunch. They were quite busy but they were able to accommodate us really quick. We sat outside since that was the only table available. Have a variety of brunch menu items that have an Asian twist. The food came very quick and was flavorful. The servers were very attentive and the prices were decent. Definitely a must try place if you want brunch food with a twist.

Unpretentious and cozy spot for brunch. We arrived at opening (9AM on a Saturday) and there was no line up. We only ordered from the Breakfast Classics section, and the meals were quite decent. I liked the Salmon Eggs Benny and the chicken from the Karaage & Waffles was nice. Notably though, I really liked iced Kyoto Hojicha Latte — refreshing and flavorful. The staff was also nice and responsive. Would recommend ideally for groups of 2-4.

Fantastic spot for modern Japanese brunch and handcrafted drinks!! I've been here multiple times. I love the chashu eggs benny (the pork belly and the smashed potatoes are so good) and the chicken katsu sandwich which is very filling. The BEST kinako black sesame latte in the city! The only thing I wouldn't order again is the azuki French toast (only available on weekdays) because it was too sweet for me. Reservations are only available on weekdays. Weekends are walk-in only. I went on a Saturday morning at 9:15 am and got a table for two right away, but the cafe was full by 9:45 am. There is usually a long lineup outside on Saturday mornings for the nearby food bank, so make sure that you're lined up for Ohiru Cafe.

A little bit of a small place, but otherwise, a great brunch spot. No reservations on the weekend. There’s no space to wait inside so be prepared if it’s cold out or raining! For us, the wait was about 30 mins. I’d recommend the karaage and waffles and the chashu eggs benny! The eggs Benny had a yuzu hollandaise sauce that I really enjoyed, I thought it was really unique. We also tried a couple lattes and though the matcha latte was good, it wasn’t anything special. Try the kinako sesame latte if you’re looking for something different!

DO NOT GO HERE... Unless you want a huge portion of fried chicken in the sandwich (I mean, huge!) but sadly undersalted/seasoned. Service was great - had a huge waiting list so try and get on it before 1030 if you want to go. Good price point for the quality of food... And I am a sucker for a place in high demand but it may not last if the food is like that. Will try it again to test.

Went on the weekend with my gf, no reservations and had to sign up onto a waitlist as soon as you walked in - no problems here only had to wait 20 minutes. Unfortunately the only seat that was available was at the bar, which was what I thought. Until I realized how tiny the regular seatings were I was quite happy with the bar and all the space I had 😂. Food was very tasty, a bit on the saltier side not by much but I do like my food that way so it was a plus. I had ordered chicken sando with a side of mash potatoes(literally potatoes that have been smooshed) and it was delicious I could barely finish it. My gf had the carbonara pasta, which she also enjoyed. The staff was very nice and checked up on us regularly, I tend to chug water and my glass was filled everytime it was empty. Overall a great experience will be back! I would not book more than 2 people because of the size of the tables your plate takes up 90% of the space.

We dined as a family of five and absolutely loved everything. All the food looked stunning, and tasted just as good as it looked. The service was impeccable, they answered all our need and were super kind. Only thing I disliked was that it’s a very small place, and it was kind of hot. (Look at photo captions for food descriptions) The matcha crème brûlée for us was a bit burnt, however it still tasted delicious. It didn’t taste like a normal crème brûlée, it was a bit heavier. Despite the change in flavour, 4/5 of us still very much enjoyed it! I recommend trying it for yourself as a dessert.
