One of the best spots in Toronto for a fabulous breakfast! I really loved it. My scrambled eggs were perfect and the pancakes were just awesome. I had a late breakfast here at about 11am and it kept me going till about 5pm!!! (even though I spent all the time in between walking around at The Toronto Zoo!) The staff are extremely kind and nice, and the vibe inside is quite classy and casual at the same time.

This is my favourite breakfast place in Toronto. My favourites are the eggs Benedict on their famous biscuits. The show stopper is their pancakes though. The cinnamon bun pancakes are probably the best pancakes I’ve ever had and I am a big pancake fan. Their London fog is delicious, but size is small. The service is always great and it’s a cozy environment. Usually be prepared to wait though - it’s very busy. It’s always worth the wait though!

It's a cool breakfast spot and the wait times are better than many other places. They have living wage system which is always appreciated. The food was pretty good but I wouldn't say it was exceptional. The staff were friendly and service was quick even on a busy weekend morning. The location is a little stuffy but we got the window table which was lovely.

Lovely meal! We went there quite early on a Saturday morning and luckily were able to get a seat. This place fills up quick! Delicious meal - we both had the Classic but ordered different sides / style of eggs. Everything was great - especially the scrambled eggs and the biscuits. To die for!! Loved it and highly recommend for an early breakfast.

Really tasty breakfast... Pricey but worthwhile. The bacon was thick and crisp- maybe the best strip bacon I've had in my limited existence. Scrambled eggs also were incredible. Just really happy with the food quality despite it being pricier than most brunch places I would return in a heartbeat

Emma's Country Kitchen has been one of our favourite brunch spots since its early days (back in its prior location). We haven't been in some time because it's a bit far for us, but the food is still just as good, it's still family-friendly, and the space is still bustling. The cinnamon bun pancakes were delicious, and their sausage and biscuits and bennies were just as I remembered. Service was friendly and we didn't have to wait long because it was a weekday.

A great brunch spot in Toronto! I visited for Sunday brunch with a friend and we were not disappointed! Note: they don't accept reservations. I expected a line-up and a wait list, though the wait time was shorter than expected. The staff is all super kind and friendly, always made sure we had what we needed, and never rushed us (despite how busy it was). Knowing that the staff are paid a living wage is a great bonus to supporting this restaurant. I will definitely be back! I had the cinnamon bun pancakes and they were incredible! It would be very hard not to get them again and again. Great cinnamon flavour and cooked perfectly. My friend had the daily omelet made with root veggies, home fries, and a buttermilk biscuit. Everything looked so fresh and well-prepared. The tables are a bit tight together, so it's definitely a cozy atmosphere. You can also opt to sit at the counter. Note: the bathrooms are located on the basement level, down some narrow stairs (as is typical with a lot of older Toronto buildings).

It's been awhile since I've been here, but Emma still got it! Cinnamon Bun Pancake - Divine! Must get. Not too sweet and just enough Cinnamon flavor. Pancakes are fluffy and have a great texture without being overly heavy. Eggs Benny with Sausage - I feel the sausage is a bit different than from before. It's still good but I think the recipe may have changed. Good portion and tasty Hollandaise sauce. Pumpkin Pancakes - the nuts in this pancake were rancid! Very disappointing, and I feel this would be good too but after the cinnamon pancake this was just okay. Prices have gone up yes but if you look on their website they are now a living wage employer. Still a great neighborhood staple and one of the best brunches in Toronto.

Nice homely feel about this place with very courteous staff. Go for wholesome food for the family. Suggest making a reservation in advance because the wait time can be over 30 minutes. BLT sandwich was great, the buttermilk biscuit was so soft and fresh. The vegetarian options (not vegan) meaning no meat/fish/eggs are very limited though.

Went to this brunch on a whim and had to be put on a waitlist since it was so popular. It was worth the wait!!! The staff were very friendly and personable. The best part was the buttermilk biscuits I had with my eggs benedict. So much flavour and my companion said their buttermilk pancakes were great as well. Definitely a great place to have your brunch. Did I mention buttermilk??

Wow! Such a nice brunch spot. I decided to stop here as it was nearby the place I was staying in during my recent trip to TO. The employee who greeted me was friendly and brought me to my table where I was served by his wonderful coworker. If you're looking to dine alone, which was my case, they do have a bar with stools or you can sit at a table if you prefer. The blueberry pancakes were top-notch and I like how they use real maple syrup and not the pre-packaged ones. Moreover, they frequently come by and refill your coffee which is nice. Lastly, they are a living wage employer so they pay their employees fairly well. Highly recommend this place!

Came for lunch on a Monday, we sat on the patio and were served by Greg. He was awesome! Service and the food were both great! We had the full English and cinnamon bun pancakes. Will definitely be coming back!

I love this place! I am definitely coming back and bringing friends and family. The hospitality is really good! Servers are nice, food is well done and they went out of the way to provide great service! When I had trouble with the ketchup bottle, Greg taught me a great trick of the "57" and it made my day! I got the BLT sandwich (which I didn't regret) and it was delicious! Enough mayo, bacon is crispy and rye bread is soft! Will come back in the future!

I got the biscuit sandwich with sausage! The biscuit was SO DELICIOUS! I've never had one so soft and tender. Our waiter was also incredibly kind and patient when we were indecisive. He recommended the pimento cheese and it was so tasty with that extra spicy kick. I'm going to be coming back to try all the other menu items!

If you're looking for a breakfast/brunch place, this is it. Their staff is very friendly and is always making sure you're well taken care of. In terms of the food, their portions are huge and you will leave very satisfied and even a bit sad you couldn't continue eating. This was my first time at Emma's Country Kitchen and I visited with my dad. We will definitely coming back in the near future. Ps: their pancakes and donuts are spectacular.

This place is right on the edge to get 5 stars, but the the coffee not being good made me reconsider. The food is quite good and the portions are proper, feels like perfectly balanced portions to make you feel content but not stuffed You can honestly immediately feel that the ingredients are fresh and it translates well into the flavor of the food. The place can be considered slightly pricey but given the good portion and outstanding taste, I was satisfied. The service was also outstanding, everyone was super nice, welcoming, and it felt genuine. We were happy being there. My one very important issue is the coffee, it was overpriced for a drip coffee and it wasn't well made. It felt like too much coffee grounds for little water. It was too bitter and overpowering and it didn't get better as you drink more. A breakfast place should definitely make better coffee I'd definitely give them another try, hoping the coffee was a one time issue.

Emma’s is simply heaven-on-earth. Yes, the cinnamon bun pancakes are THAT good. If you aren’t getting them as your main, get a side, you won’t regret it. I’ve tried many items on the menu and the only thing that is almost as good as the cinnamon bun pancakes is the breakfast sandwich. They pay their staff a livable wage, so everyone is happy as hell. What’s to not love? It gets busy, so if you can manage to visit on a Friday or Monday, you’ll have to wait less than usual.

Their service always makes me feel warm and fuzzy. Extremely kind people here who genuinely care about their customers. One of the best places in Toronto for breakfast and Canadian comfort food. Try the biscuits and gravy.

Pros: + Personalized Egg Choices: Emma's lets you choose how you want your eggs cooked, a thoughtful and unique touch. + Cinnamon Pancakes: The cinnamon pancake was a standout dish, a perfect blend of crunchiness and delightful flavor. + Flavorful Rosemary Sausage: The sausage had a wonderful rosemary twist that elevated its taste. + Welcoming and Professional Staff: The staff here are not only friendly but also highly skilled, making the dining experience enjoyable. Cons: - No American Express - Eco-Friendly Considerations: The use of plastic containers for jam and butter is not the most environmentally friendly choice. - Coffee Quality: While not terrible, the coffee was rather average. - Extra Charge for Hot Sauce: Charging extra for hot sauce seemed a bit unnecessary; it would be nice to see it included. - Consistency in Egg Preparation: The bunny dish I ordered had hard-boiled egg yolks. Ensuring consistency in egg preparation is essential.

Best Benny I’ve ever had, side of baked beans which was to die for, combined with a Caesar. What a flavour bomb! Delicious!!

This brunch spot is absolutely a must try! The whole experience was so awesome. From the moment we sat, our waiter was so polite and explained everything on the menu so well. The vibe of the place is cozy and feels like a family run business - which it is. Everything is house made. The bacon is smoked in house, the sausages are made in house, even their hot sauce. We ordered the Cinnabon pancakes, their version of the eggs Benny and their English breakfast. Everything was sooo delicious!!! The pancakes were perfection, their hollandaise sauce is nothing like I’ve had and their bacon is delicious. I can’t say enough about this place. What an absolute gem and delight of a meal. Will be coming back with more friends :)

It's a great little place in Midtown Toronto to go to for breakfast or lunch, however not somewhere I would frequent too often. The food is amazing, some of the best eggs benny I've ever had, which were perfectly cooked with amazing hollandaise sauce, just wish there was a little more. I got one egg with bacon and one with sausage. The sausage could have been better, it was a little dry, so I would recommend the bacon. They definitely have the best sausage gravy and biscuits I've ever tried. We also got a side of blueberry pancakes, which had the right amount of blueberries and were nice and fluffy; sorry guys, this is a limited time item. My only complaint is that this place is a little pricey, which is why I wish I could give half stars.

I have only dropped by once at this spot with my wife. It is our local brunch spot. If I can best describe it, it has that diner feel but more eclectic, standard breakfast fare but slightly elevated, and some decent donuts. I got cinnamon bun pancakes, my wife got the egg's benny with sausage and we took some maple bacon donuts to go. We definitely enjoyed the quality it brings to each plate, nothing too fancy, but it just tastes like it was all made in house. The pancakes were definitely good but not amazing. The donuts were cake based, and they were a little on the done side, which can get a little dry. The bacon was kind of overpowering so the salt did not really enhance the sweetness. But overall it is a great dine-in spot. We would like to try more options but not in the immediate future.

My friend recommended Emma's Country Kitchen for great brunch menu just like amazing home cooking. Was impressed with delicious meals. We both got the breakwich with their cured bacon, home made biscuit and over easy egg with cheddar cheese and pimento cheese for the other breakwich. We shared the home fries with side sausage gravy and baked beans with bits of their cured bacon. The service was excellent. Expect for a wait which they'll call you once it's your turn. No reservations accepted so it's first come, first serve. Definitely worth the hype and wait!

Had such a wonderful time at Emma's. This is probably the best eggs benedict in the city! Everything was good, the staff were so amazing and it was a great vibe. Will definitely be coming back for the pancakes next time!

Emma’s is a warm and welcoming local brunch spot. There’s likely to be a wait but the food is served quickly after you’ve ordered. As other reviews have mentioned, the pancakes are perfectly fluffy and bouncy. The biscuits are large and soft. The donuts (particularly the blueberry fritters) were great to munch on as we awaited a table to free up. Prices are rather steep for classic breakfast items but the staff are fantastic and the food is delicious.

Easily the best pancakes I've had in Toronto. Worth going out of your way for! The staff was enthusiastic and pleasant to interact with. I will come back here if I'm ever in the area again.

Great food and service. We ordered the belt buster and shared between 2 people. Added a couple of side dishes. It was a perfect meal as we got to taste their signature meals. Love that they pay their staff a living wage so more reason to come back :)

I had some old friends visiting town, and we were looking for a place within walking distance for a last brunch before their flights. One of us found Emma's Country Kitchen, and we fell in love. The promise of cinnamon bun pancakes drew us in (and they were excellent!), but the enormous biscuits, the friendly and attentive workers, and the welcoming atmosphere made it special. It really felt like we were old regulars, when it was all of our first times going. This was a favorite meal of the trip, and I will definitely be taking more people by!

Absolutely loved the cinnamon bun pancakes. They are the best pancakes we’ve ever had! Great service and very friendly staff made for a great breakfast. They also make excellent scrambled eggs that are moist and NOT dry like so many other restaurants make them. Will define be back when we’re in Toronto.

This was my first time at Emma's Country Kitchen. After we waited about an hour for a table on a busy holiday Monday, we managed to snag a table. I had the banana toffee pancakes which were delicious, and huge! Our server was extremely friendly and helpful. I wish they took reservations because I'm not keen to wait in that line, but there are other items on the menu I would like to try.

Came here on a whim after seeing biscuits and gravy on the menu. I grew up in the US and long for the dish now that I love in Canada where you can rarely find it. It's a breakfast staple in the US, particularly in the South and you can find it anywhere. This biscuits and gravy did not disappoint. The biscuits were light and fluffy and the gravy savoury and delicious. This gravy included onions and sage which is a slight departure from the traditional recipe of flour, butter, sausage, salt, and recipe. Straying from the can be hit or miss, but Emma's version is exceptionally good. The onions mellow out the harshness of the salt and pepper making for a more pleasant version that isn't as heavy. Seriously so good. I swapped eggs for home fries which were also well seasoned and delicious. Their homemade hot sauce is to die for. Deeply flavourful without being overly spicy. I dipped my potatoes in it instead of ketchup. Their was a long wait, which I consider a compliment because clearly people love this place and for good reason. The service was wonderful and friendly. I'm unquestionably coming here next time I'm in town.
