food was horrible 0/10. Wasted my time and money, no seasoning no spice it was disgusting. Let the photos speck for itself.

Follow @bredgyeats for more food photos! Shrimp Tostada + Lengua Taco + Carnitas Taco - For a more homemade feeling, these tacos absolutely do not disappoint either. The lengua taco may seem intimidating at first but is definitely worth a try if you like strong beefy flavours. For more textural eater, the tostada combines the crisp corn tortilla with mashed beans, lettuce, onions, sour cream and guac with shrimp.

Pre-ordered take out here. When I arrived the food was ready and well packaged. The staff were very friendly too. I ordered the beef burrito, 3 birrias + consome which came with nachos and salsa, shrimp soft taco, pulled pork soft taco and beef soft taco. All of the food was freshly made and delicious, especially dipped in the consome, which I could drink by itself! My faves were the salsa, shrimp tacos and birrias with consome. I would definitely recommend Tacos El Asador and I look forward to trying new items. Note that this is a cash only establishment.

Hidden gem ! 💎 Ordered on uber eats(they're new) and gosh, the authentic flavors don't disappoint ! SO MANY vegetarian and vegan options, their bean pupusas, delicious tacos and oh my my my the habanero hot sauces are a killer !! Pro tip : Ask for a side of salad, the extra veggies help, with their generous crunchy 2 shell corn tacos ...flavors are perfectly balanced and just a rough touch of hot sauces are a kicker🔥 🥵 👌 they also added 2 salsa dips for free ? Kudos 👏

This resto is absolutely amazing. The energy is so beautiful, uplifting & positive. The whole vibe is fun and happy. The food is DELICIOUS, well made, fresh and just simply made with love. The staff are so warm and welcoming and accept everyone who comes with open arms. What an incredible family owned restaurant in Toronto. I left smiling and like one of the family. I can't wait to go back!

Fantastic place to eat tacos in TORONTO! Rated to be best cheap eats since 2016. This place has a lot of character! Really friendly staff is always at hand to help and serve you! Everything we tried on the menu was fantastic! Real traditional taste! Worth the drive to toronto to enjoy a meal at this restaurant! A must try if you come to visit or even if you live outside the city center!

This place is awesome. The wife and I were craving birria and this place had good reviews so we checked it out and we’re so glad we did. It’s super authentic and the staff are extremely nice. It seriously tasted like the last time we were visiting Mexico. 10/10 recommend.

Online order of combo 2 which was a birria burrito & birria tostada. The tostada was the best part of my order. If I had only ordered that then I would’ve given 5 stars. I didn’t get a pic of it but it had the works with avocado & Latino cheese *just delicious*. The burrito on the other hand was suspiciously heavy and since I asked for no beans I was not sure what would make it so heavy. Perhaps a solution would be to have a list of ingredients that the burrito can have in order to avoid a burrito 🌯 of rice & birria meat.

Tried the 3 tacos + consommé deal. We ordered the lamb. Double corn tortillas filled to the brim with flavourful shredded meat. Tacos held their shape despite being mercilessly dunked into the bowl of consommé. Maybe not the dish to order on a first date…or after a new set of nails.

Nice spot with very tasty tacos! Favourite was beef and fish, the chicken tostada was delicious as well, and the Mango margarita was perfect for the weather and went well with the food. Definitely planning to come back!

reasonably priced, Food was good but nothing really stood out enough for me to come back (unless I’m already in the area). I had the chicken and al pastor taco and did not enjoy either of them and would not recommend those however the guacamole and enchiladas with red and green sauce were good. We had to wait a long time for the bill.

Had the carnitas burrito.. didn't seem like pulled pork at all, it was really chunky and it tasted very gamey. Tasted like dark beef that you get from a Chinese food restaurant.. was the most bizarre tasting burrito I've ever had. Not sure if I got a bad batch or what.

It’s a great no frills, authentic experience. Nice service. The guacamole and chips are better than I can ever replicate at home. Great pupusas. They even have Mexican Coke! However, the tacos are hit and miss. The Pastor is usually good, but a lack of vegetarian options and the veggie taco is too much cheese and sort of bland. Overall, great bang for your buck … but not something I crave regularly.

The food was good, had platanos, pupusas, chicken soup, and the enchilada platter. Pupusas are $5 and decent size, and there are lots of other options as well. The service knocks down stars for our experience, as the waitor was very confrontational when a wrong order was delivered. He did apologize in the end but takes away from experience of dining.

Pretty good and convenient place, close to Christie station. The prices were a bit higher than I was expecting, but quite understandable. It wasn't too busy on a Tuesday at lunchtime, but as our group was leaving another larger group with reservations started to arrive. The atmosphere is pretty good and while I was expecting spanish music to be playing, they had the world junior's on! Would definitely recommend the Tacos al Pastor, my friends had the Pupusas and said they were also pretty good. This place is cash only, but there are ATMs at the building next door if you don't have any cash on hand.

It's really good here! Haven't been for a while, but since my student days it has always been reliable, tasty, healthy, and affordable. A friend swears by the chicken tortilla soup as a go-to. Always love it here. Great owners.

THIS PLACE IS CRAZY!! The vibe is perfect and the food is amazing. My favourite taco place has changed to here seriously🥹 my recommendations are hard taco with chicken, shrimp taco with tequila shot and lime tequila margarita! They don't have a drink menu, but you can always ask friendly server :)

It's not the same anymore. Quality of the food is disappointing for the price. We ordered 3 shrimp tacos and 2 chicken tostadas for almost $40. One of shrimp in the tacos were shredded. Tostadas were a little bland. Not sure if management changed. We wont be back again.

They only take cash, so make sure you bring some. There's an ATM machine inside but you have to pay fees on the transaction. Food was good, if you like a hot salsa, ask for it, they don't bring it unless you ask. The other salsas are good too, just not very hot if that's your go to.

Had a fantastic time at this spot today. The service was fast and efficient. I was in a group of 10–we were all treated with respect, kindness and the utmost hospitality. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone. Thank you!!

One of the most authentic Mexican food in town paired with the good service. There is not a single item on the menu that I have not enjoyed and wanted to eat again. Ask for tequila Aztec next time you are there and you can thank me later. Only complain is that place is cash only. But that will not stop me from going there again.

This place is such a cute vibe. The people that work there are really friendly and the tacos are top notch! They even do tamales. Highly suggest for a fun taco dinner.

  • 5/5 Jared L. 11 months ago on Google
Cash only! Just want to start with that. Other wise, the food tastes great and it's home made. Great pupusas and the carnitas tacos are tasty. Highly recommend. Just make sure you bring cash.

Food had absolutely no flavor whatever. Food tasted stale. Ordered a burrito, quesadilla and a taco. Taco tasted bitter. The quesadilla and burrito had no flavors whatsoever. Had to be the worst food I ever ordered Edit: The restaurant replied to my review that they prepare authentic Mexican and Salvadoran food which is probably not my taste. This has to be the most ludicrous and arrogant response ever! It's your perception that you make authentic Mexican food however there are tons of other authentic restaurants serving up flavourful food. Your food is trash. Period. Arrogant bunch of incompetents. Learn to take feedback! Get your head out of where it's stuck.

One of my favorite go to restaurants. Excellent food, casual atmosphere, decent prices. The tacos are great and so are the pupusas…. And love the breakfast special! And the guacamole… could go on and on. Also the owners are some of the nicest people you could ever meet. El Salvadoran food with a Canadian twist!

These people only accepts CASH. They should know that not everyone carries those dirty bills. Such incovenience. CRA must look into this place as they could be evading taxes when it comes to declaring their profits. I am reporting this to CRA. Oh, as for the food? Tacos were dry, bland and taste like rubber.

The birrias and consomé combo was fresh and delicious! Will definitely be ordering from here again.

  • 4/5 M Y. 5 years ago on Google
Ordered the al pastor tacos. They were OK. Not the best, but not the worst. Perhaps other items on the menu would have been better. I'd like to try the crispy tacos next time. I hadn't been here since it used to be more of a take out joint with limited seating. Now, it is a restaurant with full table service.

Good food and not expensive. Enjoyed tacos and tostadas. Unique fun interior. Although it was afternoon, the music system was very loud, too loud for normal conversation.. Like a bar late-night. Cash only with an ATM.

Delicious, reasonably priced, authentic. There's nothing that this place gets wrong. The staff are accommodating, friendly, and kind. The food is incredible. Every single item on the menu is amazing.

  • 1/5 Callum M. 2 years ago on Google
The portions sizes were tiny, and the food was expensive. Also as a heads up this place ONLY accepts cash. The food had next to no seasoning and was very bland. When I got my food I was given no cutlery, I had to walk over to the kitchen to find someone to give me a spoon. When I was handed a plastic spoon, the guy was grasping the spoon in his hand, from the bottom... the part that I have to put in my mouth. Even if we weren't in a pandemic this would be unacceptable.
