Please consider this review before you donate anything to any value village stores in the city. I was there today Wednesday February 24, I literally could not believe my eyes after seeing how much they ask for basic items clothing and especially toys like this. Used radio selling $45 on amazon have $25 VV price, used alarm clock selling $25 on amazon have $19.99 VV price, I warned the person who was going to buy, he thanked after I show him the price on amazon. It is outrageous. And I checked the prices of these toys online selling cheaper than value village. Who do you think VV is, a high end store ? Please my friends do not donate anything to VV, there are others. you could donate, Salvation Army, or offer as free on facebook people would come to pick up. Note:The first picture with two toys taken at 10620 Yonge St, Richmond Hill VV, second and last pictures taken at this store. and if you visit their website there you could see they mention that they are profit company. SHAME ON YOU VV

Unorganized! Items are all over the floor, and everything is super dusty and filthy. Prices are out of control. Some things are outrageously priced. The most ridiculous item was an empty whisky bottle, which is 0.20 cents if you bring it back to the beer store filled with can tabs that usually go to a charity. Nonsense.

Like other value villages very well organized. Love a place like this that accepts donations and can resell for a more than fair price. Sometimes you will find a real Jeff something that you might find online for a lot of money but you come here and might find it lightly used in very good condition for like 90% less. I found an Echo Show 5 2nd gen for $10 and it works and looking 100% perfect. I had a different location I was looking for a truck body for one of my radio control trucks they were around $300 on eBay. Found the absolute exact body I was looking for total luck but it was only $12. .. why four stars instead of five? Because of the smell. I'm sorry I know it's probably necessary because of all the clothes and the sanitizing or whatever but my goodness that smell

I go here all the time and I’ve noticed many people donating furniture and lamps and chairs and some really good stuff. The section where they take the donations is full but none of it makes it to the shelves . Then I saw a large white truck back up and the staff filled it with the donated goods some really nice stuff. I wonder where it goes I guess we’ll never know but I will not donate there anymore.

A pretty decent Value Village. Decently stocked, the quality wasn’t too high on some of the items though. One man’s refuse is another man’s apple of one’s eye, as the saying goes. The location was quite open, and was well staffed. I came out empty handed but had a few second glances. Good location as well.

The driveway leading to the parking lot is weirdly set up in front of the entrance. It feels like an accident waiting to happen. This is an ok sized Value Village that has pretty wide aisles and is relatively clean. There are some ok stuff here but some products are overpriced and some stuff that are clearly garbage (see the empty bottle of maple syrup). Lots of self checkout at this location. Didn't see any staff looking after the checkout area.

Clean place easy for dropping charity stuff. The system of recycling and helping camminity by providing extra used stuff makes it good for the environment and brings jobs and revenue.

I'm making more trips than usual to this location for 2 months now to drop-off donations. And each time, I'm thankful to the staffs who are helping me unload the things onto the cart. They're polite and courteous.

Busy, but staff was around to help. Good deals specifically when you have coupons to use

Lots of stuff is overpriced . If you think about it 🤔 like it says on the front door on the Sign, donation here so people place it in front of the door 🚪 for free 🤔 so I go to the kids' jackets and is priced at $50 dollars 💸 that's not new is used , who places the prices is a not reasonable 😉 🤔 it's my Opinion . Other thean that is a very good place nice big and clean 👌 and organized well , and have large stocks of item

Prices are out if control. I'm done, lots of great thrift shops in Barrie. Did you know, if you donate to the Kidney Foundation they will pick it up... THEN they sell it VV. So it makes the Foundation more money.👍

Taking in donations the process us fast & efficient. The staff is very helpful. Shopping inside a bit less impressive; prices are over charged fir secondhand merchandise. Item with original store ticket $3.50 being sold for ValuVillg price ticket $6.99 why???? Some good finds to be had, if you shop regularly. There are "pickers" eho go regularly and take best finds (silverware etc..)

My son’s tutor lives in Woodbridge and i always drop donation in this store. They usually give a coupon. Prices used to be better and their jewelry section is over priced recently . once I paid for a silver bangle 925 and after a while using, its color changed to bronze. No return policy. So, think before shopping.

Very well organized and clean store. New bar code pricing is also awesome. Lot of items too. However, this is a lot more expensive store when comparing with other Value Village stores. For example, I found the following items overpriced: wood cutting board $20, frying pan $26, bluray movie $5.99. Keep in mind these are all 2nd hand items.

Terrible customer service. CASHIER was to busy to help, I never use robo cashiers ever!. This guy was so put out by having to do his job and scan items that his sighs were louder then the machine. If value village wants a cashless system with no people to serve you, I can go to other great places to shop used. I love thrift shops but I can honestly say I do not like self serve check outs.

I find it ridiculous that i can’t try my clothes in store. I have to purchase, take it home to try, and if I have to return it, I don’t get a refund! I have to exchange it for another item I can’t try in store! I know they won’t miss my business but Platos closet is my new second hand close provider! Yes they are pricier but quality is way better and it’s not that much pricier! Oh and there are Changing rooms

An okay VV location. Smells clean, clothes are well organized and staff are alright. Whenever I am there however, the cashiers always act as if they are over worked and underpaid. I doubt it, because we have laws for that… so, perhaps management should think about ways to motivate and cheer up staff. I always have an issue with the women who were changing in the aisles while I was there. Not only were they rude, and loud but also unapologetic for being in everyone’s way. I understand change rooms are closed, but there were many less populated spots and aisles for them to change at (and a forgiving return policy). I wish management would’ve asked these individuals to move as it made mine and many others shopping experiences difficult. Overall: clean, and good selection, but a negative shopping experience.

Polite and friendly drop off staff often present to assist. Plenty of parking. Coupons are handy. I almost always find a few handy items I was waiting to buy elsewhere for a great price. Items in good shape. Also a great selection of books every time.

I will give it a 5 star for keeping all clothes nicely washed & for not keeping any torn out clothing. I found out horrible things at another location & decided not to visit again.. but I was on Vaughan that day thought to give this branch a try. It turned out well. I normally buy scarfs from V V and they had fairly priced scarfs in there. Though trial rooms are closed. Books collection was incredible. Overall liked this place because of its neatness.

I usually like VV, but this location isn't my favourite. The place is messier than Newmarket.Plus the were only automated check outs. That said the selection seems good. I was looking for a couple pots for use on a campfire and there were lots.

Very friendly staff. A good place to hunt for antics. Feeling good knowing that they raise money for charity.

Disappointed at the high prices considering Value Village is a for profit organization, something that a lot of people are unaware of. Also, all cashiers have a bottle of hand sanitizer at their stations (out of reach from customers). When I asked to use some, she said no and said I had to go to the front door for hand sanitizer, which was practically empty. Do better, Value Village.

One of the best VV in the area. Great selection, lots of barely used brand items and pricing is on the low side compared to other Value Village shops close to this location. I bought 4 pieces of clothes for around $25.

Very big. Can be more organized like other Value village. Although price of Most Value village are very high but this one seems having better price, worth for a visit

This place was awesome. Organized and can walk the aisles nicely. The quality was good. Some items were priced high. The cashier was friendly and assisted me with the self checkout. Will be back👍👍👍

This place is a rip off. They charge so much for 2nd hand items. I donated my kids toys there 1 day went back 2 days later one of the toys were selling for 20 dollars. They have the square ikea table for 11.99 when you came buy the same Brand new on for 9.99 at ikea. This place literally sells trash on the shelves. What a joke

Self checkout system is not very efficient. Only 4 stations and 2 customers had issues. The cashiers weren't available/only one was available when the store was busy. Some of the items in the store were really dirty. It's unfortunate we cannot test if the electronics still work or not. Reasonable prices.

  • 3/5 Chiara K. 1 year ago on Google
Great, helpful, friendly staff. You won't find too many antiques or vintage here most times. Only thing I must say is there are never enough products on shelves. For such a big community, it seems not many are donating, or maybe another issue?

  • 1/5 Kyra O. 1 year ago on Google
DIRTY - this location leaves all their clothes on the floor, doesn't organize or clean up and when you bring something to the cash like this they don't help you. Manisha the supervisor was very difficult and refused to even discuss the matter - she pointed to the store and the floor and how everything was on the floor and I said that's not right is it? This is pathetic - this is a donation store not a designer resaler store - how dare you use charity to line your own pockets without consideration?! Value village has really changed. Avoid this one to save money, time and stress

Staff were friendly and quick as I brought my donations in. The store itself was a disaster. Prices weren’t as outlandish as other VV’s in the GTA but have certainly increased. They had a little halloween section they curated with pieces from the floor (ex. Some flannels, jeans and overalls grouped for a “scarecrow” costume, and so forth) which I thought was a nice touch.

I love it! Is my place to find treasures... Things you would never imagine and cheap. I am not sure if the profit goes to charity... I will research into that. You can find uses items and sometimes new

You can get some pretty good deals on great stuff on any random day. I wish they'd take better care in cleaning what comes in, especially with covid protocols (and just overall safer health for their patrons), but it is what it is.

This value village is in a nice area. You can get pretty lucky with what you find here but it can be hit or miss. My only gripe is with value village as a whole changing the coupon structure (the ones you get when you donate) so you save 20% on UP TO a $50 purchase, not beyond that.. I remember the good ole days when it was just a 20% coupon on whatever the heck you spent. Regardless, I still like shopping here, ill just make sure to only spend $50 :)
