I was in Eugene looking for a great breakfast. I googled Best Breakfast and saw Brail's. The parking lot was full and the wait staff was very busy. So I was very excited to eat there. I ordered something fun and selected a fried rice omelette with hash browns and toast. I was very disappointed to say the least. The hash browns were brown on top and cold spots in the middle. The omelette was so much worse. The 'eggs' were a rubbery square thing folded in the shape of a burrito. The blob in the middle is cold sticky rice with very tiny vegetables and small dots of meat. The small amount of cheese was not melted and cold. Then the whole thing was covered with a thin gravy. The meal was not editable. I will never be returning and will not let my family or friends go there either.

Brails is a bit of an institution in Eugene. Classic diner fare, and they do it well. Staff was excellent and very prompt. Had the veggie benedict today and asked for the house potatoes well done. It was all very good. Hit the spot. Breakfast with coffee was $16 plus tip.

Breakfast was delightful fast service. Clean organized restaurant. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The step work very well as a Team. They were quick on their Feet and made sure everyone was taking care of even though they were very busy. Everyone dress comfortably jeans and T-shirt. Which I'm cool with because comfort is key To healthy happy Employees. My waiter was amazing he was an older gentleman with glasses and tattoos on his arms. None of the employees were wearing name tags. Food was excellent service was quick. Looking for affordable place to eat try this place. This is a family friendly restaurant. Restrooms Where pretty clean and well stocked. This was a enjoyable dining experience for me and my Family. Will definitely come back again.

First time here. Excellent food and service. Has a lunch counter. I haven't seen one of those in years. My wife had the BLT with onion rings, I had the Spanish omelet with hash browns and toast. Only complaint was the a/c was turn down and a little on the cool side. But we won't have any problems with coming back, will take a jacket along. 😊

I have not eaten here for a very long time. I brought my nephew here to celebrate his getting his Food Handlers Card. He would like to work in a restaurant. Crazy kid. Food here was good. Well prepared. These fine people working here are most professional. They are good at what they do here. This restaurant is on the ball. A variety of condiments on the counter and tables. Bowls of individual sized creamers for the coffee they serve here. No questions asked. My concern, like most Eugene restaurants is, I cannot afford to eat here. I will not be back. A shame. This is a good place. Too expensive.

Brail's is a great breakfast and lunch spot for the money. Definitely worth checking out if you want a good meal without breaking the bank. They aren't doing anything that really breaks the breakfast mold but they excel in the standard fare. There won't be much that surprises you on the menu (outside some of the Korean influenced dishes which are great) but everything you order will be good. Parking is a bit rough on a busy day so be aware of that.

Amazing, we are traveling from idaho falls and didn't know where to get some breakfast... Let me tell ya the stars don't lie. Brails is a one of the kind, local hole in the wall. Staff was super friendly like I have never felt more welcome. And the food, omg the food, I tried the corned beef hash and was blown away, for such simple ingredients the flavor pay off was amazing. So if your traveling trough this area or just hungry definitely make a stop, you won't be disappointed.

Good service, disappointing food! We were greeted and sat very quickly which is wonderful, drinks and order taken in great time. I ordered the corned beef hash, over easy eggs and a side of biscuits and gravy. It’s very clear that the hash is out of a can (I make the same stuff at home) and the over easy eggs came out as over hard. For a $15 dollar plate of food I wouldn’t expect them to use canned corned beef hash. I marked the waitress down two stars because she clearly saw me slide the plate to the side with over half the food still on the plate. This would have been a good time to ask if there were any concerns with the food. Never once asked how anything was or if we enjoyed breakfast. Very disappointing!!

My wife and I had a great breakfast experience here. They sat us immediately and our server was energetic and attentive. Our food was good along with our mimosas and it was a great start to our day.

Brail's is one of the better diners in Eugene. They have two locations, and this is the one off Willamette St. Food is always fresh and consistent. Restaurant is clean, and the wait staff is friendly. Food service is prompt and I've always had a good experience. Sometimes the restaurant will get busy, and a line will form (usually on the weekends). Most of the time, I'll eat at the counter and will get seated right away. They have a very large dinning room, and can accommodate parties of any size. Mainly indoor dinning, however the do have two outdoor tables. Free parking lot and street parking available.

I've been coming to brails for 20 years and the quality hasn't change - a slightly upper class bistro/diner/hang-over coffee/comfort food palace. Today I had a chicken skillet while waiting for my car to get repaired at a local auto shop. The food was excellent and the waitress, Dawn, didn't bat an eye when I said I would be sipping coffee and writing for an hour or so. In fact, I was in the far fourth room and she said when it gets shut down for the morning I'm welcome to stay in there to write where it would be quieter. God I love it here. So awesome to see it expanded and doing well. I was terrified the pandemic would shut it down and look forward to further outings here now that my family is vaccinated. 😀

Unfortunately the food here is very underwhelming. We were visiting Eugene for a day and saw the reviews of this place online and were excited to try this place. We ordered 3 omelettes and they were all very bland. The veggies inside weren’t fully cooked and there was absolutely no seasoning at all. Definitely expected better based on the previous reviews.

Amazing family owned restaurant, perfect to bring your family and friends to. Great big portions of food, amazing & dedicated staff. I always have such a great time dining here. Coffee is locally roasted too!

TL,DR: Got breakfast, was tasty. Pancakes were as big as my head and light and fluffy, scrambled eggs were perfect, hash browns and home fries were both crispy and delicious, Mimosas available in champagne or pint glasses, got a virgin Bloody Mary and they only charged it as a juice, will definitely go back again. Very reasonable prices for the amount/quality of food. Thanks!

This is a friendly place to get some food. The staff was courteous, and quick to get orders taken. The place is really clean and the crew does not hesitate to clean-up after a customer leaves. The food is good and hot! It was overall a little bland to my liking and nothing really stood out as being, "I gotta have that!" We will come back again for sure, as there is a wide selection of sweet and savory options to choose from.

I've eaten here several times for breakfast and have had the best and most efficient waitress ever. The food is all really good for brunch and there are lots of options. I recommend the chicken fried steak, benedict and the classic breakfast.

Simple and delicious breakfast place with lots of options. We went back two days in a row. This is a great place to start your day with a cup of coffee and some reasonably priced food. We will be back!

Delicious food with fast and friendly service. If you are in town, skip your hotels continental breakfast and visit Brail’s Restaurant!

Being a waitress can be very demanding & stressful work - especially when management sets the bar unreasonably high for their staff. There is never a good excuse for poor service and when a restaurant is short on staff, they should NOT fill to capacity. This was our experience here today - an overpacked restaurant (we were seated on the back patio that isn't even completed) with not enough staff to offer customers the attention and orders we're paying for. Management gets ZERO stars. Our waitress gets two because she did the best she could.

The food was so good, we came here on a Sunday morning and it was busy but we didn't have to wait in line. I had a bacon waffle and it was the best waffle I ever had. My daughters loved the pancakes too. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a trip!

So lucky to find this place - So lucky students are on their Summer Break... Got recommendations from all over, so we had to try this breakfast gem. And gem it is. Service is quick with huge smiles. Lots of help from all over, always looking for the next customer can be helped. The place got about four different "spots" "rooms", a very convenient place to come with your kids whether they're bambinos or teens. Definitely a place for students to families to couples the favorite place to hang and dine. Food takes time to arrive, and the taste is very comforting. We asked for the extra crispy hash browns, biscuit and gravy, over-easy eggs Portions are generous, if you're medium hungry you can share... Overall cost, totally worth it and the overall ambiance Service - 5 stars!!!

Probably the best breakfast place I have ever been to. Affordable food, good quantity, fresh tasting, amazing staff and has a nice feel to it. Never really liked scrambled eggs from restaurants until I ate here :)

Fun little breakfast place in Eugene. Solid French toast sampler and the French dip was great too. Both breakfast and lunch are served all day. Prices are good.

I’ve been twice. Once a few months ago with my sweetheart, and more recently while visiting my daughter. Great old school diner fare. Both times I was there, I had a bacon-and cheddar omelette with hash browns and sour dough toast — pretty much my standard order at any breakfast place. It did not disappoint. Food was good. Service was great. I anticipate this will be a regular stop while visiting my daughter at UofO for the next few years.

While my breakfast date was mediocre, this place was amazing. The breakfast burrito was incredible and they have non dairy whipped cream. My server forest deserves a raise. He was attentive while doing 5,000 other tasks to keep the place moving swiftly and efficiently. Watched him help his coworkers and efficiently assist all the diners. Overall five starts both to brails and to forest.
