I really couldn’t be more pleased than I am with Santa Clara Animal Hospital!! They took me on as a New Client within the last year, after I had a traumatic experience at my Former Vet Clinic. The Staff at Santa Clara was very understanding, & compassionate about my situation. I had recently lost my 16 year old Cat Vern, so I was coming to them from a delicate situation. I couldn’t be more impressed with how welcoming, & kind they were to me. They are highly professional, caring, attentive, & deliver 5 Star Customer Service consistently!! My 18 year old Cat Tobie’s health has improved immensely, since he started seeing Dr Barbara!! She is extremely knowledgeable on Senior Cat Care, always willing to answer all of your questions thoroughly, & kindly. Her treatment plan has done wonders for my sweet Tobie!! I feel at ease trusting the skilled Veterinarians & Staff at Santa Clara!! Thanks for taking wonderful care of Tobie & I! Highly recommend! 😻

Santa Clara Animal Hospital has been Caring for our pets for many many years. Every encounter I’ve had with all staff members has been professional, caring and with the desire to get us taken care of as quickly as possible. I’ve had to make numerous emergency visits to the hospital and although there’s an extra charge it was so worth it to have my pet taken care of quickly. I very much appreciate the direct communication between me and the vet on my animals case. We love SCAH and highly recommend them!

This was our first visit at this location with my 2 year old lab since her original doctor moved away. I chose them based on my coworkers recommendation and they are awesome. They were right on schedule. She saw Brian Zulauf and he let her hug him, played treat games with her while she was getting her vaccines updated, and was overall very attentive and knowledgeable. Simple things, but not every vet we’ve been to has been so interactive and they made her visit enjoyable.

Thank you so much for your patience and support when we had to relieve my baby of her suffering. I am very grateful for my vet & vet tech (whose names I don’t remember because I was hysterical at the time, I’m sorry!) who did not rush me, allowed me extra time to say goodbye, and didn’t make me feel guilty for my loud sobs. I felt like the people who helped me really cared, which made my experience a bit easier to cope through. The vet even took time out of her schedule to answer some of my questions on the phone the next day. I also really appreciated the condolences card I received in the mail. That meant a lot to me, thank you guys for everything.

Santa Clara and the entire staff are really awesome. Took me on as a new client immediately and were overtly accommodating with my Saint Bernard. Tiffany was beyond kind and considerate, I would recommend this vet to literally anyone.

The best vet in town in my experience. They are always able to get me in, they are super caring and kind and I never feel rushed. I appreciate how thoroughly they exam my fur babe and have been nothing but impressed with this clinic.

I moved here a few months ago and took my two cats to Santa Clara Animal Hospital for their yearly checkups and shots. The staff and doctors are very friendly and attentive. My cats have never enjoyed being taken to the vet, but they were less anxious while there than I've ever seen them in a clinic. They were gently handled and talked to, so that might have put them more at ease. Another positive aspect is that one of the vets called me back after I left a voicemail message with a question about one of my cats. She took time to talk with me about some good options to address the particular issue. Overall, my experiences have been very good.

Not super thrilled with them. When making the appointment the receptionist was new and waited on hold for like 15 minutes to find out pricing. Got there and was barley greeted, the vet tech was nice enough. And the vet was super nice so that’s a plus. But I went there for an allergy test, now mind you my dog has a regular vet that she sees, but unfortunately they don’t do allergy testing, so they told me to try this vet out for the allergy test. So I paid the exam fee over the phone prior, and then I went in for my 230ish dollar allergy test. Well they decided to do vaccines which I never said to, they assumed that I wanted them. I was busy trying to look after my other dog and it took me a minute to realize they were doing vaccines. Which were 2 months early then they were due, but okay whatever. I went with it, she will need them anyways. Well they never discussed the price of that with me, which sucks because my vet charges $20 a vaccine when they charged 35-40 depending on the vaccine. And they took her away to do the blood test and also never told me how or where they do the test (I’m not a vet so I would have no idea) and it wasn’t until I saw a large blood spot on her neck that I googled it. Really wish your team new how to communicate a lot better! After I get the results of the allergy tests I will not be coming back. I will gladly continue to drive out to Veneta to the vet out there! They get 5 stars every time! So disappointed in Santa Clara Animal hospital.

The veterinarians seem competent, the staff seems caring, but the hours are very difficult to deal with. If you have a job don't bother, you'll have to take off work to see this vet. Also, it consistently takes them 3 days up to a week to refill prescriptions which is unacceptable. After my pet is healed, I'm going to find a different vet.

I can't put in words how much the Santa Clara staff means to me and my little babies. From the compassionate and patient front staff, the incredible and gentle technicians, to the caring and loving doctors. I could name most the staff individually because they've impacted our lives that much while taking the best care of my companions. It truly takes an amazing team to run a good Veterinary Hospital and I can absolutely say over mutiple years of different clinics I've been to, this clinic is hands down the best. This isn't just a job for the staff, these individuals truly care deeply for the wellbeing of everyone who comes thru their door. Thank you for loving my Keela and Kiki as much as I do!

I trust this practice with my fur family. The staff is friendly, they really care and are working hard. The Doctors are thorough and also love my pet. Having a Vet you can trust when you are scared is so important. These guys really care.

Dr. Thomas has taken excellent care of my 2 bearded dragons. She is very knowledgeable and intuitive in her diagnosis and treatment of their health concerns, and has taken the time to offer full explanations for suggested courses of treatment. She recently performed surgery on one of my beardies, who has since been making a very speedy recovery. I highly recommend her and her vet tech staff!

I love the staff here. We have a chicken who’s been on a slow decline and they’ve helped tremendously to find treatment options. Our sweet girl is in bad shape but Dr. Thomas saw her yesterday and gave us hope to treat her and see if she improves. They care for exotic animals and I would recommend anyone with reptiles, birds, etc to see the staff at Santa Clara for the best care for their unusual pets.

We took our senior dog in for a visit just to see how she was doing. The Vet checked her all over and told us that she was excellent for her age. Got all her vaccines up to date and the Vet did not try to have any extra tests done. I LOVE this about her! All employees were exceptional! Highly recommend this practice!👍

Took in my dog for an emergency. They were kind and caring and gentle. They even called the next day to see how she was doing. We go in for surgery this week and although I’m scared, I feel really good knowing she’ll be cared for with gentle loving kindness

My cat had recently gone to a 24 hour clinic because she had swallowed some string. Since she got home, she hasn’t been herself and her regular vet couldn’t get her in. This is probably the fourth time they haven’t been able to get her in for three weeks and I didn’t think it could wait. I made the decision to call Santa Clara Animal hospital and see if she could become a new patient there because it’s also close to our house. They ended up getting her in within a couple of hours and I’m more than happy to take her on as a new patient even if it was something that was urgent. My husband said that they were the nicest people I’ve ever taken his animal to. My cat was not in a very good mood, but she still really like to the people and you can tell. They ended up removing a needle that was embedded in her tongue that was on the string. They were very efficient with my time, and understood that it was something that needed to be taken care of right away. Within a few hours, she was back home. When she got home, she was 95% better than when she went in. I think she knew that the people at this office really did care about her and took the time out to take care of her and make sure that they did everything right. I would definitely recommend taking your pet here.! This is our new Veterinarian home.💜

Brought our Gracie kitten to be spayed. Staff was efficient, friendly, on time. It is clear that they love pets. Instructions were thoughtful and thorough. And Gracie is bouncing back quickly.

When we arrived we were greeted by staff with a friendly smile. The wait time to be seen wasn't long. They were gentle with our cat and took care of the issues she was having. Great place to take your pets!

I had an emergency with one of my chickens and was having trouble finding anyone willing to help. The folks at Santa Clara were so kind and made a space to see my girl. From the first time calling them, I felt like we were genuinely cared about. We got helpful, timely, kind, knowledgeable care, and I can't thank them enough for the difference that made in a difficult time. Special shout out to Bri. Thank you so much.

I’ve been to this vet 3x now. I love D.Barbra. The staff are all amazingly kind. My appointments were very basic. One was a bit more urgent then the other two. However, the level of support and kindness never changed. I can tell they all have the same sense of urgency and compassion. Thank you! King & Coco Rogers family

I recently rescued a bearded dragon with some serious health issues due to mistreatment from its previous owners. I wasn’t sure where to go for an exotic vet, but when I found Santa Clara Animal Hospital I saw that they are able to treat a large variety of species. I took my gal Junebug in and the Dr. was super compassionate and knowledgeable about beardies. She got a soak during her visit and was sent home with lots of medications and supplements for a really fair price in my opinion. I appreciate this clinic a ton!

I have been going to SCAH for about 20 years. They have always cared for my dogs (all 4 of them) like they were family! Care costs are high, but my little furry kids are worth it! Wrigley loves going to the vet.

Everyone is always friendly, kind and caring to both pets and their human parents. We discussed the issues with our Mia baby and felt very confident in the mutual decision we made. Dr. Cary is so wonderful. She always makes sure to explain everything and answer all of our questions. We appreciate her smile and genuine compassionate way!

Finn exposed to kennel cough. Ugh! Fortunately Santa Clara Animal Hospital helps us stay up to date with vaccines so when things do happen symptoms mild. Great veterinarians, always super friendly, and they make time for us! Highly recommend!

Barkley has been going here since 2020. Very professional staff and knowledgeable. The Veterinarian's are easy to understand and work with too. Thanks Santa Clara V for taking such great care of my Barkley.

Has this place heard of cleaning? Maybe my standards are too high but when I went here the place reeked of dog urine. Hair all over the floor, chairs and anywhere else you could think of. I don’t expect the place to be sparkling but at least do the bare minimum. On top of this the lack of professionalism was disturbing. Everyone was nice but no one seemed to know what they were doing and were inappropriate at times in how they handled my pet like a stuffed animal for all the employees to play with. That’s fine but at least ask for permission. Needless to say, we won’t be returning.

I cannot possibly be the only person that has had a problem with this hospital. I have been taking my dogs to this hospital since it was just a husband and wife team. Over 10 years I've been going here and I can't express how much is changed and how dissatisfied I am every time I come there it's worse. First time was I had an emergency for my dog and they didn't take my phone calls they finally take my phone call the next day told me that I had to go to a different hospital to take my dog. Unbelievable to me they wouldn't even see her. Now every single time I go there the prices have gone up and up and up and up. You can't even get your dog help because their prices are so ridiculous. I was quoted One Price when I get up to the register it's a different price but they don't know the price they first told me and said that I was wrong when I know specifically what I heard. I will be finding a new vet I can't do this with them anymore it's too often too much.

BEWARE STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE. First visit was asked to send breeder paper work regarding what vaccines were received and when. Start of first lie. No one at the facility read these documents and decided to give him a vaccine less than a week after his first one. After noticing this on his paperwork, we called four times but no call back. I ended up driving to the facility only to have an employee lie to my face and say he didn’t receive that vaccine today. Second lie. Goes in for mail clipping. We hear our dog yelping and screaming. We ask did he bleed? They said he didn’t bleed. We get home his nails are cut to the quick on two paws and have clotting powder on them. Call back and then we are basically told that their employees would never lie and that they put their employees word above our animals health. Honesty and love is their motto. Neither one is followed. Not to mention on every visit we saw an animal that was in their office to have work re done. One dog had extremely swollen tested from a neutering. Not normal swelling but I’m talking the size of cantelope. Office is dirty and covered in hair. Does not seem to be swept or sanitized. Do not bother trying to talk with management they do not care about your animal only $. Super sad.

We've been taking our dogs to Santa Clara Animal Hospital for over 10 years. Clinic has gone downhill since Dr. Dave left. Yesterday we had an emergency with our 14 year old golden doodle. They did not pick up the phone all day and did not respond to any voicemails. Today we called their "emergency line" we were told they were full and directed us to another clinic. Our dog has only ever been to Santa Clara Animal Hospital. Staff seemingly did not care at all. I am changing my vet clinic and suggest you all find a place that will be there when you really need them.

Ok. So I have a very complicated schedule and the receptionist was very patient with me finding a slot to have us come in. I was even stuck in traffic and had called to let them know I was running late. They still were able to squeeze us in. Gizmo , (my very opinionated hedgehog with an adolescent attitude, 🦔) 😏 Was all about the extra attention. It's a definite must to feel confident and comfortable with those people that are looking out for the animals that look out for us. A big thank you to the staff at Santa Clara Animal Hospital!
