We really like the Ark. The people there are friendly and very helpful. Sure, taking your pet to the vet can be a bit spendy. They didn't seem to be too bad when compared to other places. And honestly, how great they are with scheduling appointments, and getting e-mail and text reminders and how easy their system is, the money is worth it. We have tried a few other places but ended up coming back to the Ark and will stay. Give them a try!

So far this is the best experience with a veterinarian office, the pricing and overall experience with the staff has been great! I actually look forward to coming in for regular check ups and help with my puppy, Carl!

This is quite possibly the worst vet experience I have ever had. I took my cat in to be neutered (first time cat owner). All was well until he came out in the wrong carrier, AND I was sent home with the wrong post operation instructions (for a different patient!). I called back twice that evening to get the instructions emailed to me, and they waited until the NEXT MORNING to send them, only after I left a voicemail for the second time. I had no idea how to administer medications or feeding instructions for my cat that evening. I finally received a call almost 24 hours later from office staff, during which I learned that I was OVERCHARGED by nearly $200. I never received any indication of the double charge, and if I hadn't asked, it would have remained as a credit and not refunded to my card. I am still waiting for the refund to process as I type this. I cannot stress this enough - there are too many mistakes that were made for this to be a coincidence. Truly a horrible place, do not take any of your animals to the Ark.

Had the most amazing experience after going through a nightmare at another local vet and losing a puppy. The DR and staff here were kind, compassionate, and went above and beyond for my 3 week old frenchie puppy. Could not be happier and more grateful for my experience. You guys are angels!

Yet another veterinary clinic in Eugene that can't return a call or message when you reach out. How incredibly disappointing! Our pets really deserve so much better and I am getting concerned that they can't get it in Oregon.

I brought our 17 year dog to this clinic. Each time was a horrible experience. I recently brought her to the Ark for an eye issue. They told me that they would have to put in a stain in her eye which would be additional. I agreed. They told me that there was no scratch to her eye but she did have separation of the iris. That there was no concern. We went home feeling okay. As the week went by we noticed her eye was getting worse. I called the clinic to find out that I would have to pay the office visit and stain again. Which is very expensive. I decided to get a second opinion at another clinic. We took our senior dog to another vet. They put the stain in and found a large ulcer that was as big as her eyeball!! The vet could not believe how the vet from the Ark could have missed it. The vet told us if we would have waited any longer her eye ball could have popped. The Ark also called in to the pharmacy a prescription for a steroid. I didn’t pick it up. If I would have gave her the eye ointment it would have made her ulcer much worse even loose her eye! Be warned of the Ark. all they care about is money and blaming fault. They never apologized to me or offered any help in any way. I will follow up and make sure that no one else has to go through this. It’s hard enough seeing your beloved pet in pain. But to have a veterinary clinic that has no consent for your pet or you. Please be careful with the Ark clinic.

Love the vet tech and the vet. Thinking about switching here for regular care. We took our cat in for an urgent care appointment. She’s a little monster at the vets office, so she had to be sedated but they were still very nice. While she was down, the vet talked us through the best options to rule out serious injuries, and what to do next if the symptoms weren’t fixed after some medications. Very reasonable prices, especially for a weekend urgent care appointment with imaging, sedation, and take-home meds.

Relocated to this area in December and the Ark was highly recommended. They did not disappoint. My Cats first visit was great. Dr. Sangl was very kind.

Biohazard disposal fee. Are you kidding me? They charged me a fee so they could dispose of the needle that they used to give my cat her shot. They also charged me a technician fee. So I paid the technician to do their job and then I had to pay them to also do their job? Where is the sense in this? It feels like a desperate cash grab. They are great with my feline customers. Not so great with human customers.

My family has been coming to the Ark Veterinary Clinic for over 30 years. Mick Helton was always so compassionate and wonderful with our animals. We could never go anywhere else except for an emergency. Since he has retired and left the business I have noticed a downward trend. Recently in the last year things have gotten really bad. They never seem to return calls or notify us when prescription diet foods are in. Then when we call to ask if it's in they say yes and they will hold it; only for us to drive down and be told they don't have it. After several months and trips down there we gave up on the food. In the last few months they have also added fees such as a vet tech fee of $15 on top of raising prices. Our normal visit for a tech before the increase was $27, that price increased to $30 but they also added the $15 with no notice which really jumped that price up to $45. So level of service going down but prices sky rocketing up. My dogs last exam a few months ago they noted some dental work was needed along with several other tests. I called today to schedule the work and was told they would need to do a new exam. In the past if work was needed and the dog was seen within the last few months they never required a new exam. Dental work always has a broad range of pricing because they don't know all the teeth they need to extract until the dog is under anesthesia. Doing another general exam so soon for dental work is costly and unnecessary. Extra extractions were already factored into the price along with a blood test before the surgery. Besides a general exam isn't going to show anything, my dog needs to be under anesthesia to determine what teeth need extracted. Since Mick has left they really seem to push getting additional blood work, x-rays or exams as if your pets life is in danger. Then you pay to get the tests and everything is exactly as it should be. Pushy sales combined with such poor service in the last year is why our family will be going to a new provider for the first time in over 30+ years.

Asked me to sign an invoice for tooth removal during a basic cleaning. I told them any extractions would be decided after the initial appointment/assessment They refused to do the cleaning unless I agreed to sign the $5,000 removal invoice in advance and treated us like our skepticism was akin to animal abuse. They also implied that our hesitancy was a result of not being able to afford it. In the end, we just didn't trust that they would do what's in the best interest of our pet. I recently had my pets teeth cleaned elsewhere followed by an extraction appointment which cost $700 vs the arks $5,000 estimate. New clinic was lovely and extremely trustworthy. They agreed that many clinics in the area are just out to make as much money as possible. These people are aggressive, price gougers. Look elsewhere. Oh, and my dog doesn't start shaking when we walks into his new clinic like he did when going to the Ark

We took our previous dog here and never had a problem. With our new pup, we tried another vet. We came back to The Ark after the other vet just couldn’t ever seem to get us in when we needed them. Called The Ark, not only did they answer, but they got me an appointment right away! Much appreciated!

I had to take my very anxious dog in for an eye infection. Dr Mercer and her assistant were both so gentle with my dog and gave me good information about the treatment. Very pleased!

Wonderful vets, wonderful staff, they do everything to accommodate My quirky elderly Greyhound, including doing the exam in the car and helping me get her in and out, and letting us hang out in their backyard where she is more comfortable. And they are open 7 days a week and always try to accommodate a sudden illness. Best vet I have been to ever!

Had my first visit with Dr Byers yesterday. I have a cat with a chronic upper respiratory issue and I have sought A LOT of care for him over the past 3.5 years at other clinics. For the first time, I feel like we are on track to actually diagnose the underlying issue and I was provided medication and supplements that are already managing symptoms better than I've been able to do with all of my prior visits. I felt like I was listened to, not only by Dr Byers, but every staff member I've talked to. I had some confusion about the supplement suggested and Dr Byers called me yesterday afternoon and talked to me for several minutes until I understood. It took me 6 days and 4 phone calls at my last vet to get a response for a question I asked and the response I received was about the wrong cat, to demonstrate the difference. To say I am overjoyed with service and attention my cat and I received is an understatement. I was also able to get him in within days, even with the possibility that they could sedate him later in the day if he was not possible to examine. Fortunately this was unnecessary, but that they had options and appointments available was great. Plus the clinic itself is lovely, comfortable and clean. I am so happy I transferred to this clinic.

The Ark Veterinary Clinic has an amazing, informative, and accommodating front staff as well as kind, compassionate, skilled assistants and techs. Dr. Mercer was so kind and clearly knowledgeable about all things dog (I’m sure about other animals as well, but we only talked dog since that’s what I brought) and the fact that Dr. Mercer spent meaningful time with Marshmellow and helped to educate me on the best way to support our new family member impressed me so much. I highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Mercer.

We travel for work so getting with a vet is hard when we need to , they cared about my baby as soon as I said what was going on over the phone and got me in same day, the place is super clean and the staff is so nice. Fir was scared to go in the back and they let me walk him back there instead of dragging him. I did leave the room so they could do what was needed, they said he did amazing and he was a good boy! They really took in to consideration us traveling with the treatment plan they made and got us oral a topical medicine for him! Also loved that it seemed like the appointments were spread out so the lobby wasn’t full of dogs coming or leaving. Signs to say cat area and dog area was great to see! As u can tell by the pic of Fir laying spread out he was very relaxed and calm during the whole thing and he loved the cheese wiz they had. If we are back in the area I will be going to only them! Thanks for taking amazing care of us!

Was able to quickly get an appointment. They got us to a room quickly. Very good with my dog. The only drawback was pushing certain items. I was given a list for oral care at home. The list included a few items, such as rawhide, I would never give my dog. Still it was a good experience for both me and the dog. Which has been the case for us since we started going to the Ark.

Front staff was very helpful and caring. My dog of 12years has been diagnosed with cancer and I'm having avery hard time. She won't be completely healed because of her age and it has definitely progressed, but Dr on call wanted to put her down. We (both dog and I) aren't quite ready.

The Ark Vet in Eugene has the most nicest and professional receptionist and medical staff. They have always been very quick and knowledgeable of every situation that I have been seen for. I definitely would recommend anyone with a dog or cat to check them out.

The staff was very kind and courteous. I have a dog that can be reactive and they were very kind and accommodating. They weren’t pushy about buying things or spending money. It was a really successful vet visit

The staff were very friendly and professional. The clinic was clean. The vet tech was thorough and offered recommendations tailored to our pet and family situation. The vet was very knowledgeable and helped us troubleshoot some difficult behavior. Overall we had a very positive experience and are glad we went.

The Arc Vetenary is the best! Aubury Stevenson is the best! All the staff at The Arc Vetenary have been so helpful, returning calls day of and getting information to me so fast! Today, Aubury helped me out with the pharmacy at Albertsons in a big way! Aubury used trauma informed care, was so helpful, understanding, effective and communicative! I seriously could not hope for a better expriance than the one Aubury provided!! Thank you again Aubury and thank you Arc Vetenary clinic for employing such a great staff! I feel so lucky to have you in our community!

Had my dog neutered elsewhere. A huge mistake was made leaving gauze inside my dog which was thankfully caught by dr Mercer. Dr Mercer also went above and beyond by calling the other place and letting them know of their mistake. I don’t know if it took any convincing but also worth mentioning dr Mercer got the other place to cover the cost of their mistake. The other place did not ever reach out to me personally so can’t say that would’ve been the case without dr Mercer. I am so thankful that this team goes above and beyond. This is also the second time they’ve taken my dogs in on an emergency basis while other vets have said they can’t get them in and go to the (way too expensive) emergency clinic. Thank you for everything you do.

The is offering a program for people that have dogs that aren’t vet friendly and to me that speaks volumes they care about your pet. Dr Bryer is certified as a fear free vet and he is a behavioral consultant, these talents are really important to me and I really appreciate the service!

Our poor boy was attacked by raccoons on a Saturday night and they were so quick to get him in first thing Sunday morning. The staff were all caring and kind and took such great care of him. We are so appreciative of them.

Staff there are super friendly and nice. The reason I give a low rating is cause I feel like it’s a high pressure sales environment every visit. They immediately go into selling you services and treatment before even telling you what’s wrong with your dog and why. They use medical jargon in hopes to just nod your head yes and buy. Doesn’t make for a genuine experience that they really care for the well being of your dog. It’s a shame.

The staff was incredibly friendly and took great care of our English Bulldog. We called Saturday late afternoon to try and get her an appointment because she somehow scratched her eye. They were able to get her in first thing the next morning…. And on a Sunday! She was well take care of and they took the time to answer all of our questions. I definitely recommend the Ark Veterinary Clinic!!!

Fantastic! Very kind, courteous and professional throughout the office. You could tell they were happy employees as well which is always a great sign. The Vet called me personally after my pet’s emergency visit and spoke in great detail about how the procedure went and all of the meds he would be on. I was VERY impressed with this clinic! I had never used this clinic as it was an emergency type situation on a Sunday and they were able accommodate. Highly recommend this clinic!!
