This place was a dream come true for me. The desk clerk was very welcoming and informative as the where to eat and enjoy entertainment the rooms were clean and cozy, and best of all there is a limousine ride to and from your destination which is much deserving of a good tip. Absolutely wonderful lady driver who was very professional and friendly as well. Must stay for a day at least and go to Lost Coast Brewery or Amigos Burritos both very tasty and great environment

I chose the hotel based on glowing reviews, anticipating a perfect weekend getaway. The room, though clean, had a different bed setup than expected. When I approached the front office, they refused assistance, citing my third-party booking. The lack of empathy was disappointing. The next day, the receptionist seemed apologetic but disregarded my online reservation, providing a paper to contact the third party. It appears the hotel may not value the third-party service they’ve contracted. The front office’s limited computer skills hindered their ability to assist guests effectively, contributing to a less-than-ideal stay. Despite the challenges with the front office, it’s important to highlight the positive aspects of the hotel. The OASIS is impressive, and the complimentary breakfast exceeds expectations, providing good value for money.

This is a very standard room and a standard motel. They make it seem like it’s high class but it isn’t. The rooms are next to a noisy street. There is nothing that makes this room worth the $200 plus a night. And this was on a Tuesday night at the end of September. The only plus side is it has a nice lounge area with a pool. But it really doesn’t make up for what this motel really is. Breakfast was decent. The breakfast area is nice. I try to give a balanced report as best as I can. But I would say skip this motel and in fact, I would say skip this town of Eureka. It is very unnteresting and has little to offer.

This was one of the best Best Western's I have ever been to. The rooms were clean, but the pool and more importantly the HUGE hot tub are the reason we decided to stay here. Hanging out at the hot tub at night was nice. I also enjoyed the free limo they allow their guests to use. Most of the time I choose Best Western because they are consistent and usually clean, this place went way above that and was reasonably priced.

I recently stayed at the Best Western Plus Humboldt Bay Inn in Eureka, CA and I was blown away by the amazing customer service. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The Oasis pool and spa area was a great place to relax and unwind and you feel like you are in Hawaii! I also enjoyed the massage chair and circuit equipment in the fitness center. The Espresso machine and pool table were nice touches as well. The beautiful landscaping with Aquarium and foundation added to the overall ambiance of the hotel. The location is close to historic downtown which made it easy to explore the area. They even have their own free stretch Limo! I stay in hotels over 6 months a year for business and this is the #1 Best Western! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The front desk staff is so very helpful and great customer service. Got in later afternoon and he asked me if I had had dinner yet and when I replied that I hadn't, I've been on the road for six hours he gave told me which restaurants were still open, which ones would deliver and that the have a limo that would take me to a local restaurant but they do stop running at 9pm. Such a nice place to stay. They were booked full but it was quit and relaxing. Will stay here again while visiting my son at cal poly Humboldt university.

This hotel was really nice! The rooms were comfortable, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the amenities were unlike any Best Western we have stayed at before. They had a limo available to guests to take you to nearby restaurant, there were post cards and souvenirs in the lobby, and the outdoor pool area was beautiful, with a hot tub, fire pit, swimming pool, pool table, and the breakfast are. Our room was very nice and we enjoyed our stay very much. If we are back in the Eureka area, we will definitely stay here!

Rooms were clean and adequate. Lots of towels provided which came in nice for visiting the hot tub. Stellar hot tub situation....one of the best I've seen. Great perk of staying here is that they have a limo that will take you to dinner and pick you up...completely complimentary!

Great find! Looking for hotels near Redwoods NP, this was a bit far but was actually one of the closest. This is one of the best hotels I've been in on my national park travels. Nice and clean, the outdoor pool area had two pools a pool table hot tub fire pits game room, it was nuts. And to top it off a free limousine to take you around town (don't forget to tip).

Room was moderately sized and very comfortable, nicely decorated. The areas around the spa and breakfast service are covered and heated. Hotel can be accessed from Hwy 101 North or South. Would definitely stay here next time I travel through Eureka.

Depending on why you are going to the hotel, it may, or may not be right for you. I went to the hotel to basically sleep after visiting an old friend. For this purpose, I won't go again. The bed was uncomfortable, and I could hear every car that drove by. At 5 in the morning I heard a loud screeching sound from what I believe was the restaurant opening up. The bathtub is also small. With that being said, it would be a nice hotel to relax at. They have an awesome jacuzzi and pool area. If you are enjoying the coast, and want to come back to the hotel and relax, it would definitely meet those needs. To me, it just depends on what your purpose of going to the hotel is.

From the outside, this hotel looks like any other Best Western. However, once you enter through the gate into The Oasis, it is as though you are staying at a mini resort. The hot tub is large enough for at least 15 people and there are multiple seating areas, along with a beautiful cascading waterfall. The pool is perfect for children and comes complete with supplies to play water basketball. There are many seating areas in the Oasis, along with a pool table, outdoor fire place, fire pit, and tiki torches. There are also 2 bathrooms, an outdoor shower, and plenty of freshly laundered towels to dry off with. Our family would definitely stay here again!

Clean rooms with lots of coffee and supplies. They don't skimp here. Soft bed, good pillows, lots of places to put things and a good number of towels. The pool and spa area are just amazing and very warm and clean. The limo rode was so fun, Selina is friendly and knowledgeable and a good driver. The breakfast area is a bit small for how busy the hotel is but they run a tight ship and keep it all well stocked and clean. We had just rhe best time here!

I highly recommend this four-star hotel on a one star budget, that is located in beautiful Humboldt CA, located next to the Ocean and the majestic Red woods in Northern California. I was greeted by Stacy the Manager and Aaron at the front desk and received excellent service as always (I frequent twice a year for work and with family) from all the staff, throughout all my stays. The facilities are of the highest quality and exceed great standards along with constant upgrades every year. The grounds were very well kept by the maintenance of Brian and the rest of the crew, which include a Grotto that is made up of a luxurious hot tub, an out door swimming pool, billiards table and fitness room. The hotel also has a free limousine ( Tips welcomed) that is driven by a very informative Selina, who knows where all the hot spots in town are located. The rooms are of ample size with amazingly comfortable beds, and there are also larger suites that resemble small apartments that could be used for honeymoons or special occasions. Lastly, I have met with the Owner, Chris on a couple occasions and think he should be immensely proud of his Staff and Hotel, Humboldt Bay Inn, Best Western. Great memories, Loren.

Every single person we met at the hotel was genuinely kind and pleasant, courteous and helpful. Brian was particularly awesome, he gave us great recommendations for local places to visit during our stay. The Oasis spa was the perfect way to end our long days of hiking. Everything was very clean, check out time is nice and late so we didn't feel rushed and they even have a limo driver to take you around complimentary, free of charge!

I'm giving this place 5 stars because of its gorgeous tropical oasis area. I love that the pool was separated from the waterfall hot tub, which made it more peaceful. The music, tiki torches, and fireplaces around just added to its excellent atmosphere. The rooms do need some love, especially the beds. I really think this place is one of a kind though, especially for a Best Western hotel.

The staff at the property were very nice and welcoming. Location is within walking distance of the historic section of town - about a 10 minute walk. The breakfast provided had quite a few options and we found it better than most places we’ve stayed where breakfast is included. Most of all we really enjoyed the outdoor Oasis/pool area. It was very relaxing to hang out there. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Eureka.

The rooms were clean and well taken care of (minus the broken desk chair). The free breakfast was good, try the waffles! Staff was really nice and helpful. Also, they have a free limo to take you downtown, I walked myself (it's pretty close). The limo is a nice touch though.

Didn’t honor the gift card they said they would when we checked in and called ahead of time. Walls are paper thin. Grab and go breakfast had cereal and diluted coffee. More like best western minus!!

The nicest Best Western we've stayed at! The rooms at this Best Western are typical for a Best Western (style, decore, amenities, etc.). What sets this Best Western apart from all the others is what they call "The Oasis". This area has a gigantic hot tub, heated pool, pool table, and lots of seating with fireplaces and propane fire pits. The heated pool is divided into 3 sections, a 1 foot deep section for toddlers/non-swimmers, a 4-5 foot section with a basket ball hoop, and the deep end which is 8-9 feet deep. This is also where you go for breakfast which had the largest selection out of all the Best Westerns we've stayed at. Another thing that sets this Best Western apart for others is the free limo for dinner. From 5pm to 10pm every night, the limo will give you a ride to anywhere in town and pick you up when you're done for free (we did tip the driver though). The hotel is in downtown Eureka which is great for being close to everything but you do get the occasional homeless person walking by.

Soooo....I travel a lot! This is by far the best, Best Western of all! If you by pass this place it's 100% your loss! Fabulous customer service, the grounds are clean and the hot tub/pool are one of the most amazing ambiance I have ever experienced! STAY HERE!!!

We had an emergency and couldn't find my father in law. We were calling hotels in Eureka, hoping he had checked in. The clerk at the front desk wouldn't write down a message for him to contact us if he checked in. Every other hotel in town was willing to help as best they could. It was the male clerk on Thursday, August 17th, at 815 pm. He had no compassion for the situation and should not be in a customer service role.

Ignore the area that this gem is located in. Their amenities cancel out the location. Don’t skip using the limo service to go to dinner. Don’t skip the pool and hot tub area. I will kick myself for not checking it out until I was actually checking out. It’s an oasis that should be shouted about! Rooms quiet and very clean. Breakfast was the best we had from any hotel. 5 stars plus.

Me & my beautiful wife have been coming to this hotel for 5 yrs to celebrate our wedding anniversary, the rooms are great & clean & the beds are comfy. The staff & limo driver are always helpful with making your experience the best it can be! The spa is a wonderful way to end the night. They have a great variety of breakfast items. We've never had a bad stay here, highly recommend it!

The oasis pool area is amazing, loved the hot tub with the waterfalls and mood lighting. Rooms were clean, comfy bed and comforter, clean bathrooms. The staff were incredibly nice, they even have a stretch limo to take you to dinners and pick you up. Would stop again for sure!

We were so delightfully surprised by the large, Hawaiian themed pool and outdoor area that we spent our whole evening there with wine in hand (plastic cups required). Tropical-looking plants, hot tub turning different colors, tiki torches, rocks, & small waterfall made it a true delight. Front desk staff were excellent. Restaurant on site made eating easy. It is situated between the north and south lanes of hwy. 101, but we didn't even notice the noise once in the room.

Great experience! The holiday (Christmas and New Year) decorations are very beautiful! Great cash values: Located at a convenient location (right in Eureka)!!! Free parking!!! Free breakfast!!! Complimentary limo drive to recommended restaurants!!! There are nice outdoor pool and hot tub!!! Highly recommend it!!! If I ever visit Eureka again, I would love to stay here again!!!

Friendly service in a central location. Spacious room with modern look. Did not like the bed so much and the shutters leave too much light coming in at night. Fridge was wobbly so made some noise. Rest was all fine.

Perfect for our trip! Oh the Amenities!!! Breakfast area is clean, fully stocked! The Jacuzzi and patio area is like a resort style getaway! I almost wanted to stay here the whole time and Forget my plans! Bring a swim suit any time of year because they make sure your comfortable with heaters tiki torches and a 🔥 fire pit to die for! The jacuzzi is actually big enough to float and move around. The staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Oh did I mention the free Limousine ride to local areas! I think I’m living the movie star dream! I don’t wanna go home! Thank you ! Oh! Pool table too!

This place has the nicest pool & spa I've ever seen!!! The rooms are nice and clean, beds are comfy. The have a hotel limousine that will take to/from local restaurants and busineses up til 10pm? How awesome is that? They also have Nemo the fish, and Dory as well in a salter water tank in their lobby!!! Definitely would want to stay here again...

Excellent hotel with lots of really neat amenities. Hot tub oasis and pool were fantastic for the family. Even had a pool table and an excellent gym for me. The limo shuttle was a nice perk, too.

Very disappointed and quite frankly, disgusted, that I chose to stay here. You should not expect a room that is cleaned or to have a guaranteed parking spot. You should expect rude employees and unhygienic surroundings. I arrived at 10 at night to learn that the lot was full and only "overflow" parking would be available - situated off property and nowhere near my room. I then entered my room to find hair everywhere, a pill lying on the bathroom floor, and used hand towels on the rack. I only snapped a couple of quick pics in poor lighting since I was tired from traveling (attached here), but continued to find human hair (long, black hairs) around the room - especially in the bathroom. It was evident that no sweeping or sanitization had been done to the room since it was last used.... Despite being disgusted I chose to stay since it was late and the surrounding hotels were booked. A couple of hours later while attempting to walk my service dog before going to sleep, I was screamed at by Selena - the hotel front desk employee I had checked in with and who was completely aware of my service animal. Selena informed me I may "take the dog off property" because it should not go anywhere where any lights are turned on on the property? This completely illogic demand was aggressively screamed at me by Selena across the parking lot. I informed Selena I would not be walking on the streets in the dark as I'm a small, 28 year old female that does not need to feel unsafe. Selena continued to discriminate against me and my service dog by insisting I not let her relieve herself anywhere within the large property - not even on the pebble rocks outside - if it's near a light. No explanation was ever given. I'm completely grossed out that I stayed here. A dirty room and a bad experience. I just hope I don't leave with bed bugs.

My husband and I recently stayed at the wonderful Best Western Plus in Eureka, California for three nights. We drove there from the San Francisco part of our trip to see the redwoods. This hotel had many amenities others don’t always have. We loved that the room had a refrigerator, microwave, two white bathrobes, a bath mat and a handicap bar in the tub, among other things. We were impressed that there were even reading lights attached to the bed. The free breakfast in the morning was a wonderful perk. The spa was amazing and hot in the cooler weather! It was a little bit cool in the heated pool due to the cool weather outside. The pool was nice and warm though. Although we didn’t use it, it was nice that they had a complimentary limo driver to take guests to dinner and back. What a great stay! We hope to stay here again sometime in the future!

The shower needs a detachable head. The size and positioning made it so I couldn’t actually rinse below my mid back, just had to hope the water flowing down got it. Would be 5/5 with a better shower. Bed was soft, room was well maintained. Grounds have lovely greenery and flowers. Staff was very friendly, breakfast and pool area was well kept and clean.

Extremely thankful for this hotel and staff! We began to have car trouble on our way to Redwood National Park and needed to book a room while we waited for a repair shop to open after the weekend. The staff was so understanding and patient with us as we dealt with everything. They made us feel so welcomed and at ease during our stay. The room was clean and perfect for our family of four, the breakfast options were great, the Oasis area was our kids favorite and completely helped us relax during a stressful time. The staff here truly care about cleanliness and customer service. Although we didn't use the free limo service it was reassuring to know it was there since we were without vehicle. From the front desk to the maintenance staff, their kindness and hospitality made our stay enjoyable in a stressful situation!

This place feels like a mini resort, great heated pool and large sauna. Good breakfast and one of the best gyms I have seen at a hotel around this price range. Friendly staff and the clean rooms are all reason's why we will be back next time we are traveling through.

Great mattress, cleanliness was acceptable (I am a germaphobe for clean sheets!) hot tub area looks fun (105 F is too hot, even in winter) love the gas torches and fireplaces! and the staff are very nice and helpful. Breakfast is free, but limited to carbs only (no meat or fruit). Would stay again.

This is a awesome place to take your family. They had great staff. The rooms were clean. Breakfast is decent, open at 6 am for those leaving early. The pool and hot tub area is awesome.

Super helpful staff, truly outstanding breakfast in the morning and a pretty incredible pool/hot tub. The pool was closed when we stayed due to a mechanical issue with the heat pump. My daughter was disappointed so the staff went to the trouble to open it back up for us. Good place to stay if you’re passing through Eureka!

  • 5/5 Pat D. 2 years ago on Google
Although smallish, the room was great. Excellent bed and pillows, good and dark made for restful sleep. The patio and pool area is charming with tiki torches and tropical plants - in Eureka! Even the pandemic “Grab n Go” breakfast was good - sausage sandwiches, instant oatmeal, sweet rolls and really good coffee!

Loved the stay here even if it was only for one night while passing through. The hot tub area was awesome the pool was nice but I feel it could fit the theme they're trying for with the hot tub and fire pit area a bit better. Breakfast was hot and the staff was kind and friendly

The staff is so helpful. Makes you feel like family. Exceptionally clean rooms and even the parking lot. Didn’t feel like I had to watch my car ! The tropical hot tub was invigorating and soothing. And basketball in the heated pool was cool to. Chilly when you get out though. lol Definitely be staying there on the next coast trip. Thanks again to the staff.

I love this hotel. Wonderful place stay with great quality food right next door at Kristinas. This hotel is the best place to stay in Eureka. CHECK THEM OUT! Right in the heart of historic Victorian old Town Eureka. So much to do and so much to see when in the area, this is the place you want to be. Thank you for an amazing stay! Everything is PERFECT. TY.

Rooms are clean, however the carpets were damp and the smell of cleaning products were strong. I feel the room was overpriced but the pool and hot tub was a nice addition. I probably won't be back. Edit: after 2 days we noticed our feet black from dirt when walking on the carpet, that tells me the carpets are filthy.

  • 5/5 Erin B. 2 years ago on Google
Very happy with our stay. Wonderful pool/spa area, open 8-10 daily which the kids loved & it accommodated our site seeing off-site, well. Evening limo service was a special highlight to local dinner! All staff were friendly and accommodating. Will stay here again!
