Six flags of Sadness, 1/2 the rides are closed or broken. No water slides, no wave pool, no lazy river. Expected better on Memorial Day… seriously. Not worth the $50 ticket price. We are from Iowa and we’re planning to go to 2 more six flags in Texas. But not anymore. What a waste. And before the owner responds I should say, I am 50 years old and remember this park as a kid an have fond memories. I wish I could hand them down but no we won’t be giving six flags another chance. Sad to see an Another American icon ruined by poor management and greed.

Great park. Clean and inviting. New and fun old coasters. Nice layout and organized. Parking is at front gate. We got in fast and hit ride after ride.

Really enjoyed all the steel coasters. The wooden ones are nice but they are rough, I can't ride them back to back without a break. Reline the tracks with metal tubing. They need to redo the walkway to The Boss coaster. It's ridiculously long with too many stairs.

Love this smaller six flags park for it's unique coaster collection - Boss, Ninja, Screamin Eagle, American Thunder, River King Mine Train, etc. Just has a nice park layout and other guests are all very friendly and didn't mind sharing insights to tips or directions within the park. As a single rider, I got to ride with numerous other people who were all.very friendly. Overall great crowd and a nice park.

I always loved going to this thing park as a kid. Now I get to take my kids to it. The lines are usually really long on the bigger rides, I would recommend getting the flash pass if you can afford the extra money. The Batman and Mr freeze are one of my favorite rides including the log flume also, if you plan on going more than two times for the year I would suggest the season pass, you also get food discounts and merchandise discounts with that and premier parking and also access to the water park. The water park is always really crowded into this hard to get on the slides. Overall a very good theme park.

Weather excellent today with very few waits more than 15 minutes which is fast! Great rides and entertainment this year. Get your season passes and come see! Lots of fun for all ages😎 a few water park and a few rides were not open. The fireworks were awesome! Excited both sides and traffic was minimal.

A lot of the rides inside both the park and hurricane harbor were closed. The ones that were up and running were a lot of fun though. The food and drinks are pretty pricey but there are some fast food places nearby to choose from. We arrived when it opened, left for lunch then came back until they closed. Despite the amount of rides that were down, my kids (8, 12 and 14) all still had a lot of fun. I’m not a fan of roller coasters or rides in general myself and I still had a good time watching them all have fun. We also took advantage of Hurricane Harbor. A few of the slides were closed which made the lines of the ones that were open very long. 45 mins for a water slide just isn’t worth it to me.

We were terribly disappointed on our last visit. The park is run down and dirty, with multiple rides no longer working properly. When we arrived, there were 6 rides not running at all, and 3 hours into the cloudless, hot sunny day, they shut down the majority of the remaining rides due to "a threat of inclement weather." There had to have been a different reason, because there was zero chance that it was going to storm. I'm assuming they were lacking staff. The water park was no different. The wave pool was broken and didn't make waves, the new kiddie tree house area's water was at least 20 degrees colder than the wave pool to the point where it was uncomfortable being in the water there, the foam mats for the racing water slide had black mold on them, we had to push leaves, bugs and twigs out of our way in the lazy river and we waited in line for 27 minutes behind ONE other family to be waited on to get ice cream. There were so many food service locations and gift shops still closed (I'm assuming from covid) and the ones that were open didn't have many options for my gluten free son to eat. Johnny Rockets was disgustingly dirty, and we had to clean a table and the seats ourselves before we could even sit down. The food was insanely expensive... A plain cheeseburger patty without a bun and fries, a 3 piece chicken strip and fries and one regular vanilla milkshake cost me $46 at the restaurant. I expect to pay more for theme park food, but when I get it, I at least expect the order to be correct and to be hot. Neither of those happened. We ended up only getting to ride 3 kiddie rides and Pandemonium the entire time we were there. We left early because there was literally nothing to do other than wander around in the heat and look at closed down rides. I contacted customer service and their email response basically said they'd pass the message along and they hope we'll give them another chance and come back soon. Not happening!

Overall this Six Flags is pretty decent. We came on Wednesday during summer and the crowd was not bad at all. The food is overpriced but they do have lots of places to cool off and get out of the heat. There could be a few more bathrooms or signs to bathrooms but otherwise this was a good, safe, fun, experience. We purchased all of our tickets passes and parking online. I do recommend doing that to save money.

I'm going to brag on your staff! Everyone was super friendly and helpful when I didn't know where to go to activate my season pass! The rides that were open were fun and just what this working mom needed to remind myself why I work so hard. The rides batman, boomerang, and fireball had the most fun people as operators! They really kept the energy upbeat and silly. I wish just once that Mr.freeze would be working when I go as I've been for years and manage to have never seen it up and functioning. The games are challenging but still fun to do even when you miss every shot like me lol. I can't wait to go again and again this season! Thanks for keeping me young at heart and giving my kids the gift of amusement.

Great place for family fun. The lines are short and price is affordable for certain things. I would give it a higher rating is they would at least contemplate the idea of selling a whole pizza for families rather than over $14 for a slice package. It’s a complete disservice to bigger families that visit the park especially when Universal Studios and other parks do in fact sell an entire pizza to families that prefer only slices and not all the added drink and side. On another note…the employees at the Pizza location can use a bit more customer service training because they were terribly rude and rolled their eyes whenever we asked questions about what was being purchased. Overall the visit was good but dealing with disgruntled employees just kills the mood!

We planned a family weekend trip here excited for the Fright Fest experience. Several rides were not working which was disappointing! At 6 pm the ghouls and goblins come out and the park after dark overall becomes a creepy environment. Very irritated by the fact admission pricing of around $60 (advance tickets including taxes plus $30 for advance parking pass) doesn’t include ANY access to ANY of the haunted attractions! You have to purchase a secondary pass to allow entry to the special haunts which adds an additional cost of around $30 per person. Food and drink pricing is ridiculously over priced (especially considering admission price). The entire park had a rundown and grimy feel and didn’t seem to offer anything impressive. All in all I definitely don’t rate this as a “worth the cost experience” I’d have to saw this amusement park fell flat and rates last on my lists when compared to other amusement park destinations.

Our first family trip to Six Flags (2 adults, kids ages 8, 6, 5, 2 on 7/20/22 where it hit 101F) I have been going here since I was a kid and I think our kids had just as great of a time. I bought annual passes for my family of 6 on the buy 2 get 1 free special. We are 2 hours away and will be getting plenty use of them. Good deal if you plan on going more than twice, depedning on the level you buy you get free parking and great discounts on food and merchandise. Otherwise the daily ticket is honestly a very good deal as well. Food is expensive, but thats not new for any theme park. General parking is expensive as well, more than i think they should be charging, but i get free parking with my pass. Due to staffing issues some rides were not open but not enough to make us notice or be disappointed or make our experience feel less than. We were there for 7 hours and didn't even hit all the open rides despite spending no time waiting in lines. Some rides we rode multiple times in a row. The longest wait was 20min at Thunder River. Cons: Some rides make you pay for a locker for your stuff while others have a bin or basket for your stuff. Thunder River has nowhere to put your stuff, weird. Not enough cooling stations (misting water). Lack of picnic area if you decide to bring your own food. The fact that your not supposed to bring any food into the park, I have 4 kids who I snuck in snacks (goldfish, graham crackers, and cashews) for. I am not even sure they have snack food like that available. The six flags app is easy to use. The staff was great. We can't wait to go back.

Fun place to let loose and enjoy with family and friends. The food and drink options are pricey but that's any amusement park. Rides were alternated back and forth to what was available to ride, I'm not sure if it was short staffing that caused this. It would be nice to see more water refill options throughout the park though. Great time overall.

I finally made it back to Fright Fest this year and I was not disappointed. So much fun! I got there early so I was able to ride quickly with little or no wait. The crowd got super busy closer to sunset. So many people were dressed in costumes. I loved watching the "freaks" get off the train and run through the crowd scaring people. Quite a few of them got me good! I had my favorite meal there, but chili cheese dog with fries. It was a great solo trip to Six Flags. Next up is the Holiday festival.

When it comes to the staff, I am forever grateful for their service and sacrifice for our families who come to enjoy ourselves and the rides. I'd be a bit cautious paying to go here if you're struggling with income, otherwise you have nothing to worry about with the way things have been going this year. Oftentimes, a majority of the rides are closed, and yet visitors still pay full price for entry and parking. The Hurricane Harbor is a separate entity that you have to pay extra for. The park railroad service has been down for some time as well through all my many visits over the 2023 year. With their good record, I am sure it is for good reason like maintence and safety inspections similiar to the horse carosel. Better safe than sorry. However, most of the restaurants still serve decent food; particularly the turkey legs! I'd be cautious with the pricing though with the current state of the economy and the effects on businesses [supply/demand, inflation, shipping, taxes, etc] Thank you for your excellent service!

Ummmm what the actual heck? Why? These prices are outrageous!! Unacceptable and no wonder it was dead on a Saturday in summer. I have enjoyed six flags for over 25 years, and my children enjoy it as well. But shutting down the most enjoyable rides like the thunder river... stop it. Fix it, please. Our future generations would appreciate the decision making adults in this business keep it as classic as it has been for decades.

Compared to the other 6 flags I've visited, this one is much lower quality. The employees serving you just look at you waiting for you to speak, then they serve you while continuing to not speak to you. This happened multiple times throughout our experience at the park. All the rides were only running one train, so for a ride thats 3 minutes long it's about 5 minutes to get one wave of people through the ride. Of all the six flags I've visited, this one rests at the bottom of the list, it's not held up to the same standard.

Staff was excellent dealing with a major ticket scanning issue. Bought tickets in August for Fright Fest and all 6 tickets were scanning as invalid. Had to wait in a very long line to speak with guest services who printed out new tickets which in total took up 45 minutes we could have been in the park. Then we had issues getting our fast passes into the Haunted Attractions. Again, tickets scanning as invalid. Every Haunted Attraction took anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes to get into because our tickets wouldn't scan so the fast pass was useless. Thankfully we ran into Shaun at Jingle who sped up the process a little bit when we went into Slaughterhouse. I will not bother with a Fast Pass again.

Me and my friends went there for a little get away and had so much fun. The staff was very helpful and nice. We got on rides as soon as we got in line basically wasn't really any line except for Catwoman's whip (so much fun). They have an abundance of super hero themed rides for everyone little kids, big kids and, adults. We got to ride all the rides at least 3 times during our visit, without a flash pass. They operators made all of us laugh with little jokes before starting the ride. Also they have multiple restaurants and shopping areas to fit everyone's needs but they only accept card they will not except cash....BUT they have machines to turn your cash into a card to use during your visit at six flags. They have everything you need to enjoy your day at Six Flags Over St. louis

My son (15) had never ridden a Rollercoaster till about a month ago. He finally faced his fears and rode a couple of rides. He had a blast! We went back to ride American Thunder and we took his friends for Christmas cheer. 🎄 Man!! CHRISTMAS LIGHTS WERE EVERYWHERE! He and His friends had the best time too. We are definitely going back this month before Christmas is done!! 🎄 ❤ 😊

Enjoy the rides, dont expect much more. Good selection of Roller Coasters and thrill rides, which are excellent. 3 starts is for cleanliness, staffing, prices and overall deterioration of this park. The food and drinks are very overpriced, causing most to picnic in the parking lot. The entire park is run by teens who's working conditions appear to be dismal. Bathrooms, restaurants, and many common areas are filthy, smell, or in general disrepair. A little care, cleaning, updating, and employee focus would do this park wonders. This clearly isn't Disney, but doesn't live up to the 6 Flags standards found at other parks.

I did have so much fun visiting this theme park. It opens at 11 AM and close at 6 PM. I recommend you to go early as you will find a long line for every rides especially in the summer time. Please bear in mind the water park closes at 5 pm. Bring plenty of water and food as a water bottle costs $4.5 and the foods are not good there. It's 30 minutes drive from St. Louis with no public transport. You need to have a car or call Uber or Lyft to get here. I recommend to ride batman, fire ball and Mr. Freeze. Those are amazing. Buy tickets in advance online and the cost $36 for an adult. You have to pay for the parking too 😄.

Alot of rides and games were closed due to being short staffed in the heat. Most of the workers we dealt with were nice but there were definitely a few kids working there that had no business working with the public.

Six Flags is a must-go on your summer break. The food might be a little overpriced but it has many restaurants near it that you can leave the park at any time and go eat for cheaper. Long lines under the sun so make sure to stay hydrated and to put sunscreen on every two hours or so. Also make sure to arrive early and go to the mr freeze ride first because the wait for that ride is insane so the earlier the better. If you have a flash pass waste it on this ride!! And most importantly have fun, stay safe, and be kind!

Ordering tickets for intuitive and easy to use on their website. Plus, they tell you in detail what you can bring in the park and their rules and prices. I never ran into any hidden fee issues.

  • 5/5 Angel K. 1 year ago on Google
I always get the memberships for my family and pay monthly due to being on a fixed income and the payment plans are very good. I have been going to six flags since I was a little kid and now I take my kids and we always have a blast. Do to staffing issues over the last 2 years only certain rides are open but it's still a blast.
