I have enjoyed steak at a lot of places around the US and the filet here is in the top I have had. It was a center barrel cut, 7oz which is not huge, but not small either- and cooked to perfection at the requested temperature. My picture does the food no justice as it was very dark in the bar area I sat in (for the phone, it was fine for the ambiance). The steak was blackened but the seasoning was not so powerful as to ruin the flavor of the filet. The meal also came with a very tasty long garlic roll and Sautéed vegetables. Honestly, the vegetables were the only thing I could critique as they had a lot of butter, more than needed for flavor and it added oil to the plate. It’s minor though as the filet was the centerpiece. Sauced is in an old downtown home remodeled into a restaurant. It has an excellent supper club feel about it.

We tried Sauced for the first time this past Thursday for a birthday dinner. We had reservations but it wasn’t too busy either. We were promptly seated on the patio which is really nice! For an appetizer we ordered lobster stuffed mushrooms which were mouth watering. I had the red and white plate as my entree and my boyfriend had the stuffed chicken parm. We would like to go back and try some of their weekly cannelloni specials. Our server was fantastic and offered recommendations and was very helpful. We never felt rushed but we also were regularly attended to. Prices are on the higher side but it worth it. Everything is homemade from the sauce to the breadsticks.

Very impressed with everything, highly recommend the Shrimp Pugliese. The filet was outstanding according to my coworkers as well as the eggplant lasagna..

This restaurant is very nice for a date night. The atmosphere is quite nice. The service is excellent, and the food is spectacular. The handmade pasta and bread are phenomenal. Everything at our table was wonderful. The music isn't live but they had a good selection of music playing. 5 star experience.

First time visit on a Saturday night. We had reservations for two but didn't need them. With that, the building is absolutely gorgeous! When someone says a building has character, this is what they mean. I don't know exactly how old it is but it looks to be a 100 year old Victorian style home. Some of the chandeliers and fixtures are beautiful. Onto the food: I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce (added a couple of Italian sausages) and companion had the spaghetti with marinara. Our method of trying a new Italian place is start with the lowest common denominator (spaghetti) and then try other dishes on subsequent visits. Or, as my companion says, "Let's see if you can get spaghetti right first." In short, mine was good. Companion thought the marinara sauce could have used some more flavor and much preferred my meat sauce. The spaghetti was cooked al dente which is actually rare to find...it was perfect. The sausages were spicy/hot which I liked. Bread sticks were ok but could be better. This is on the higher end price wise. For example, I think my spaghetti with meat sauce was $14 and the sausages added a other $10. $24 is a bit steep and the portion was not big enough for 2 meals, so... Would we go again? For a date night or other special event the space can't be beat. And, you get the added benefit of being able to walk about afterwards as there was a live outdoor concert and vendors happening across the street. Food wise, I unfortunately think there are better and more cost effective options for the limited items we did try. Definitely a "try it yourself and see" place.

Can't say enough good things about this place... we made a reservation for a Friday night that morning, and I had to leave a VM. thinking they would probably be booked up a not be able to get one. Well as soon as they opened they called me and was able to get 4 of us in. I love 45 min away and on my wat there there was an accident.. traffic was backed up ..I called and told them what was going on and they said no worries they would save our table to to be safe. We get there 15 min lates but they seat us right away. Food was delicious and the service was great..

The food was cold and had no seasoning. A man was sitting a table away and he was talking the entire time at the top of his lungs. It was outrageous. Not the best experience...at all. Food was free tho....best thing about it. Below average experience...sad. Was the Thanksgiving meal.

Had a very nice experience and the food was delicious. The soup, the bread and the pasta were of high quality. Service was attentive and helpful, especially if you are picky with ingredients like I am a little. Would definitely recommend. The ambiance is also very nice.

We’ve eaten here a few times and it’s always been so good. We really enjoyed the Mothers Day brunch buffet this year. We’ll be back!

My friend and I had a very nice dinner here and loved everything from the drinks to the appetizers to the entrees. We were extremely pleased when we left. We weren't miserably full but definitely satisfied. I had the shrimp pugliese, and my friend had the red/white. Both were delicious! Our service was excellent as well. We hope to return!

Amazing pasta, helpful & friendly staff. We had a large party at my table and they made it easy for all of us. Great ambience. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town.

Made from scratch food that also tastes phenomenal? Yes please! First time at Sauced was a real treat. Also, their customer service was A-grade. Cheers to our server Dane for making it a great experience, and we will be back!

This restaurant is in an old, historic house in the Haynie's Corner area of Evansville. It's a good setting for intimate dates, or a gathering of friends. They had the most wonderful red moscato. I wish I had asked what brand it was. I had one of the nightly specials, which was a canneloni covered with a brown gravy. It was heavenly! The friends I was with also enjoyed their meals. I would definitely return!

This place was amazing. My husband and I didn’t have reservations but we had heard about Sauced and wanted to try it. They were able to seat us at the bar with a full menu. We loved the atmosphere and the food. We got eggplant dumplings and some kind of stuffed mushrooms and our entree was Mushroom Ragu. Our bar tender/waitress Jessica was extremely friendly and personable. We can’t wait to go back.

The food is great, the specials are where it's at though. My only recommendation for this restaurant would be to spice up the interior with SOMETHING. The inside is clean and upscale but lordy there is almost nothing to look at except the people you came to eat with and who wants to just stare at someone for 90 minutes. Unless you were eating with me in which case I get it.

Food was good Manager/ host was extremely rude. Our group of 11 had a lovely dinner until the manager told us we had to leave. 90 min into our 4:30 reservation he told us time was up. 6:00 was our limit. The next party had arrived and we had to leave. He was very arrogant and unkind. Time to go. It was extremely insulting. And Rude. Never will we return.

So fresh and classy. I love to try whatever is the new/freshest seafood catch. My husband hopes the pulled pork special becomes a staple! We popped in for a quick double date dinner so we could make it to a movie and we were impressed on all levels. You won’t NEED it, but make a reservation, the experience is great!

We went to Sauced for New Years Eve dinner. The restaurant is in a beautiful old house and the ambiance was very nice. We had drinks before dinner, which were very well prepared. Dinner itself was amazing. if you like Caprese salad, you will love it here. The mozzarella was flavorful and it was served with a garlic pesto and a sweet balsamic reduction. For my entree, I had the fettuccine Alfredo with fried chicken. It was perfect. The servings were large and the service couldn't have been better. I would have loved dessert, because I'm sure it would have been amazing, since everything else was. However, I was way too full. This was my first time to Sauced, but it certainly won't be my last.

We have gotten takeout several times, usually spaghetti with meat sauce and fettuccine alfredo. It has been wonderful everytime. We finally made it for dine in. My wife had fettuccine with shrimp and she says it was very good. I ordered cannelloni, it was stuffed with smoked salmon, roasted garlic, onion, cream cheese, mozzarella, and parmesan then topped with a dill cream sauce. It was one of the best things I have ever eaten. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

So,this was my second time here and I loved the first visit but this time turned me off, and I know I don't visit regularly but i did expect everything to be better.I have gas station food constantly, since I eat between jobs,as a garage door installer, anyway,I've cooked no,I've tasted 9hr bread and processed burger meat from a gas station that was more soft than the cannelloni shells.Yes I do believe to be proper you use a knife and fork but it should still be soft enough to cut with a metal fork, which only the middle of the shell wasn't burnt. When I said something to the waiter he act like I was getting on his nerves.I wasn't going to say nothing but when I went to pay my bill lil buddy, the waiter, try to get loud and start talking off the subject I asked him about.I wanted to pop his jaw cause I really felt disrespected, but I don't have time for nonsense.I paid the -101.52-but the waiter is a b!&@#,and the cook CAN'T...I only gave 2 stars cause the water was cold and the drink had liquor in it...

The wife and I have been meaning to try sauced for years; since we moved to Eville. Finally made it tonight. Everything was delicious. Strongly recommend the red and white plate. Making plans for a return visit. Only regret is not coming sooner.

I have ordered a carry out from this place without doing any research to see if it was worth my time and money. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, the environment was welcoming, the patrons appeared to be comfortable and worry free nibbling & sipping with smile on their faces. Kim, the lady at the reception was warm, courteous and patient with me. My order was ready sooner than anticipated, the tagliatelle was done with care, balanced flavors with the bacon, the mushrooms and well seasoned chicken breast. Evansville is lucky to have a place named SAUCED :).
