We came to the Cork 'n Cleaver for dinner after our double wedding and had an amazing time! I wish I caught our waitresses name she was amazing! Could not have asked for better service! The caps and cheese were mind blowingly-good and the steaks and baked potatoes were top notch. Would recommend going with the ribeye over the filet mignon but both were good. Finally their scotch selection was high class. Over all great experience. Highly recommend!

Awesome Mother's Day lunch. Food and service couldn't be better. We were a party of 8. We ordered several items and none disappointed. Prime rib, lobster, and a unique pork chop dish. Excellent salad bar and deserts. Wish I could return but was visiting family for the day. If you are ever in the area it's worth a stop. I don't think you can be disappointed.

Our new favorite place in town! We have been here three times, and every time has been delicious! Steaks are good and always cooked to order. Fish is fresh. The entrees come with the salad/soup bar and a side. The cheesecake is better than Cheesecake Factory! It’s so smooth. We always get sat right away, and never wait long for our food. The Santa fe shrimp are never over cooked and has a light kick. This place is continuously delicious.

Anthony was our waiter. Best service we've had there so far. Meal was scallops for myself and my wife got the ribeye. After tip, 87 dollars. Not the most we've spent here but pretty typical for a visit. This time her steak was slightly undercooked but when you're hungry, it doesn't matter. Food time was about 7-8 minutes from order to table. Salad bar was delicious as well, it passed that time. Worth the visit if you're looking for good food with exceptional atmosphere. One of the better steaks in Evansville.

Exceptionally friendly and helpfully staff. The salad bar was fresh and had a tasty variety of items. My Reuben sandwich was delightful

Have been a loyal customer for nearly 10 years! I recommend the New York Strip or Double Bone in Pork Chop, baked potato and salad bar. Try the poppy seed house salad dressing. Get a glass of wine! I recommend calling ahead and making reservations, especially on weekends. If you're going on a date, ask for a table in the lounge for a more romantic experience, and enjoy the super comfy leather chairs!

I made reservations, and requested specific seating. The restaurant was fully accommodating. Also, Cork 'n Cleaver still has the best salad bar in the area, which both of us enjoyed. In addition, the service was outstanding. For dinner, my friend and I had simply excellent entrees. From the rather substantial wine list, we ordered a satisfying Cabernet. I had a filet mignon, and she had prime rib. Both were cooked exactly to our specifications, and were absolutely delicious. I had a baked potato with butter, and she had a twice-baked potato. Just great! We made room for dessert, and we were both really happy that we did. The raspberry cheese cake was - and I'm not exaggerating - the best we've ever had. Eating here was a relaxing, satisfying, and memorable experience. I'm looking forward to returning.

Solid steakhouse in Evansville. The interior was welcoming as were the staff. The menu comes on an old cleaver. Very cool. We had some good recommendations for drinks and meals. House specials are nice. I tried the prime rib. It was a little overcooked (medium) but tasted great. Their au jus is spot on. I really liked their twice baked potato and would recommend it. They have a nice salad bar that comes with the meal. We tried all sorts of stuff- their seafood was pretty good also. No complaints from our group. Prices and portions are both reasonable.

Loved the menu! The general atmosphere was wonderful. The food was good. With all the hype over this place, the salad buffet area was a mess (since they changed about $15 for it), and the other buffet style is way cleaner. Although, the selection was very diverse. We were there for about an hour, and we didn't notice any difference in the appearance of the buffet area. In the bathroom, the atmosphere was not carried in over there.. one stool in the ladies and in the men's room the urinal and the stool were in the same area. Strange. I am not sure if there is another restroom or not, However, I can say I did eat here it was okay, but I am not in any rush to go back

Was met with very friendly staff, given the FANTASTIC mushroom caps pictured above completely on the house, and had a wonderful dinner. It's not a cheap restaurant but the value is accounted for: the atmosphere, service, bread and butter, beverages, huge salad bar, and delicious entrees are on par with the prices for sure!

My wife and I both tried the specials and was perfect. She had the rib-eye special and was perfectly cooked with a potato. I had the chicken and shrimp special with twice baked potato and was excellent as well. Our waiter suggested the stuffed mushrooms. Glad he did, so good. The prices were a steal for what you get. Definitely will go back.

The bourbon chicken seems to be my favorite given I order it every time. Mushrooms are good too, and of course, the salad bar is just as good as everyone says. Waiters/waitresses always nice and attentive. It can get noisy at times if it is during the evening dinner rush, but if you're in the back room it feels much more private and quiet. In general though, sitting anywhere provides good atmosphere thanks to the lighting and comfortable aesthetic of the place.

I had my birthday dinner here yesterday and couldnt be more pleased with the food or the service. I had the King crab legs and my Mother had the special of baked scallops. Of course the wonderful salad bar was included! Our waiter was great, as was all the staff. One gentlemen even helped escort my Mother to the car at the end of the meal. I got a complimentary dessert to finish the meal, a piece of fozen Mudslide pie. Adding more pictures from a recent visit. They have a nice salad bar.

We had a reservation for 630 for our 17 year anniversary. We got there 15 minutes early and they just marked us off for no show now keep in mind e we where 15 minutes early. Second, they sat us at a table for 20 minutes finally I asked if we had a waiter and they were on brake. Third, they moved us next to a table of very very loud ladies that where talking about being cougars. And laughing and high fiving each other (now keep in mind there’s big table was the center of a small room with 4 Two seat tables around it) Everyone in the room was very unhappy as I looked around. Fourth, the waiter also turned his attention on the big table while ignoring us on the side unless we stopped him. Fifth, I ordered the most expensive steak the 16 ounce (40.00) and it was as thick as a McDonald’s burger patty and very dry. It was a very bad 120.00 experience! My wife ordered a drink and to top it off to calm her nerves he handed it to her with the final bill.. We could not even hear each other to enjoy our anniversary!! Very bad experience!!!!

We arrived early for our reservation and they got us right in. When our final diner called to say he would be late, no issues made, drinks were filled and plenty of bread was brought to the table. The roaring mule is an oddly unique and addictive cocktail. Food was excellent caps n cheese, steak, blackend shrimp, baked taters were all excellent and cooked perfectly. This was a bachelor party and the atmosphere in the bar was pretty cool. And if your into a good salad bar you will not be disappointed.

We had our end of season party here for our KY employees - approximately 15 of us - we rented the back room so we had plenty of room to move around... This was my first time there and it was so very nice! The menus were printed out on these big meat cleavers, the service was great, the food was incredible, there was a big salad bar and several appetizers - I don't eat shrimp myself, but the rest of the group ordered shrimp cocktails (and other things)... the shrimp were huge and plated beautifully - the entrees and desserts were just as enticing and tasted amazing!! It was a little expensive, but well worth it 🙂 I would definitely go back and would recommend Cork 'n Cleaver as a great place to eat!! Not one single person in our group sent anything back or got the wrong order. I don't remember the name of the server that took care of us but he was very friendly and very good at keeping the drinks and food orders straight - DEFINITELY 5 STARS!!! 🙂👍

The food was great. The menu itself was very elegant. The atmosphere was on point great date night location for sure. Our waiter called himself Santa Clause and he was fantastic. We will be back and asking for him.

I love the food and it’s been a favorite for years. I like going local. They are very hard to reach on the phone. I realize they are busy and short handed at times but the last time I was in the guy who was working up front was talking to customers (completely personal stuff and stories) letting the phone ring and ring. It was like this on the way in and out. I realized then why I’ve had this problem. If they were full and not taking reservations, they should still answer. People place to go.

It’s extremely old inside but the steaks and scallops make up for it! The Wait Staff is Great extremely attentive!

The food was so good and the service was top notch. I would go there again in a heartbeat. Husband ordered the Bone-in pork chop with broccoli and I ordered the Chicken and Shrimp. Both were fantastic.

I like the atmosphere of this restaurant, we ate in the bar. The food was average, my pork chop was over cooked, and the salad bar was messy with food on the floor around it. My wife had the pecan chicken it was better than my chop. This is the only place I know of around here that has anchovies on the salad bar. We had a good server.

Honestly one of my favorite restaurants in America. Food is excellent the salad bar is amazing and the staff and atmosphere is the best anywhere in the world. We absolutely love cork and cleaver, just can't get better!

Our first time back in several years and we weren't disappointed. Our server, Josh, was excellent. My husband had the New York strip which was very flavorful and tender. It's not easy to prepare a New York strip to be tender. I had the sea bass with rice. We both enjoyed the great salad bar.

We ate here to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary. Our server Anthony was friendly and helpful. The steak was delicious and cooked perfectly. However the rest of the meal was only average, not great, and we had 4 or 5 fruit flies circling our table. It was also loud being seated next to the kitchen as it's open to the dining room.

We didn't have a reservation but they seated us right away. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The prime rib is easily the best I have had in 10+ years. The salad bar has a great selection and it comes with most (all?) Of the entrees. The baked potato was great The asparagus was perfectly cooked which is something many restaurants struggle with. (It was not brought out with my meal but I didn't have to pay for it and I still was able to take it home.) We will definitely be returning when we come back up to Evansville.

I have heard wonderful things about this restaurant. Not my experience completely. First of all, the other reviews mention the bread, outs was down right cold?? My husband and I both order the NY Strip, the special of the evening. It was quite expensive and a horrible cut of meat. I ordered medium well, my husband ordered well. The waitress was so sweet but mixed up our steaks. They cooked me another steak and it was awful. So much fat and gristle. I didn't complain because of the first mixup. The manager did come over and compt"d my meal. They gave us a free piece of cheesecake as well. I wish I would have ordered the filet, it was only $5 more. I may give it another try someday, but not soon.

Went here on my lunch break. Salad bar was delicious. So many toppings to choose from. Twice baked potato was creamy and tasted great. I look forward to trying other things and going for dinner.
