I don’t know where to start. We didn’t even take photos for half the food because we jumped in. The Taro Tea is a MUST. The chicken satay comes with a peanut dipping sauce and an onion cucumber salad/slaw. We got it as an appetizer but our kids would love this as their meal. I love Tom Kah Gai and this version is delicious and filled with cabbage. Got some classic pad thai and fried rice for lunch and there was so much we ate leftovers for dinner everything was very delicious and the flavors were perfect. We really must have looked wild eating so much, so fast but we had an appointment to make. Thanks for the speedy and delicious lunch! We will be back with the whole family very soon 🤤

Very nice restaurant. Beautifully decorated, clean , and the service was excellent ! Waitress was very kind and helpful .She helped us navigate the menu and choose how hot (spicy) we wanted our food. They offer American hot and Thai hot all the way down to mild. This was welcomed because when I went to a different Thai restaurant I ordered medium spice and was on fire! The restaurant is fully handicapped accessible with handicap parking. I ordered the spicy fried rice with beef and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a very relaxing atmosphere and they were not very busy.

I was happy with my experience here. Kind and helpful staff, and the facility was clean. We had the Phad Gra Prow and Phad Prig King - both with beef and "hot" spice level. Decent spice, great flavor. Portion sizes were adequate for the price. For appetizers we tried the spring rolls and curry wontons, both served with a cucumber sauce (fantastic). I liked the wontons better, but both were good. Looking forward to other curry options next time!

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Indiana. We noticed when we ordered our food this time that they didn't ask us how spicy we wanted it. I love spicy food so I had to ask our waitress, who was really sweet, to bring us the chili flakes. In my opinion the sauce doesn't add as much kick as the flakes do. The service was great and the food was excellent. Edit Note: We went yesterday and noticed that the pad thai has changed. The restaurant has new ownership, which may explain that. The dish is no where near as spicy as it used to be, which is something that I loved about it.

We were driving by and noticed the Thai Bistro & Bar. Stopped in for a late lunch. HUGE menu, from salads to soups to desserts. Ordered a couple appitizers, presentation was great but 1 lack flavor and the 2nd (pork belly) could have been crisper. The noodle bowl and pumpkin curry was excellent wouldn't change a thing. Orderd Thai Spciy for the Pumpkin and it was mild. But overall taste..give it a 10!! The dessert was different but was light and t Kiddo even enjoyed it!

Ordered carry out. Pad Thai, child size fried rice and two fresh spring rolls for $35. Food was good but not enough of it for leftovers. I get that meat prices have increased (there was a sign on the door saying exactly that to justify their increased prices), however, one can add more veggies or more rice/noodles to supplement the dishes so customers don't feel ripped off.

I'm not really sure how to rate this so we'll just go with middle of the road because the staff was sweet. The waitress was prompt when we arrived and took our appetizer and dinner orders. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. We ordered fresh rolls and spring rolls; the spring rolls came with some type of cucumber, corn-syrupy sauce with peanuts. We have been to numerous Thai restaurants in various cities and never had anything like this. The sauce that came with the fresh rolls was also extremely sweet. For our entrees, we ordered Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. The presentation was typical of other restaurants however, the taste of both were so sweet that we could hardly eat them. My husband described it best when he said "it's like eating Buddy the Elf's syrup spaghetti". I'm not sure if it was from the entrees or the appetizers but we both had to excuse ourselves to go wash our hands because they were so sticky.

Soo friendly. Great food. We had the veggie spring rolls. Really tasty. Crunchy. Wonderful dipping sauce. Sweet with peanuts and cucumber. It also came with a spicy sauce. Pineapple chicken fried rice was really good. Large portion and really nice flavor. Chicken with garlic was great. Tender thin chicken strips with lots of sauce. I subbed out the broccoli for extra zucchini. Really loved this dish. Comes with a side of rice. Will definitely be back.

The food was delicious. The tom yum soup could be more tom yum. Less options for vegetarians but they customized to meet our needs which I highly appreciate. Their spring roll and veggie mix is mostly store bought because they couldn't separate mushrooms out. But they did provide some onions and carrots in the soup to make it veggie. Good ambience. A little overpriced if you are vegetarian but it is the only thai restaurant in town.

Wait time was 20 minutes tops waiting for the entree. Appetizer was served separate from entree so you had time to enjoy your appetizer. Server was nice, and made sure our drinks didn't weren't empty, and cleared out finished dishes from the table. I ordered spring rolls for an appetizer and then ordered curry fried rice.

The absolute trifecta in Thai cuisine. Phenomenal food at a gourmet level of taste and presentation! We tried a new for us, Jungle Curry dish, Excellent! , Chicken Pad Thai garnished with a really great Spring Roll with owners specially prepared Cucumber and Rice Wine Vinegar dipping sauce! Lastly, the pineapple fried rice was delectable! We look forward to a return to Evansville to experience one of the best Thai restaurants in the country! Thank you Jenni (JanGi?) and company for a wonderful visit! Signed, The Truckers 😊

If you're looking for authentic Thai cuisine, you found it. We not only enjoy the food but the service is excellent. The restaurant is modern and clean. Every dish we've ordered is delicious and if they have the coconut milk ice cream it's a must try. My husband is from Bangkok and loves the food.

We absolutely loved this place. The food felt authentic, the flavors were vivid and unique, and we did not need to wait long at all for our food to be served. On top of excellent food Thai Papaya also makes boba bubble tea which is awesome. Will definitely come back soon.

Food was good but not great. Chef needed to be a bit more flavorful with spices

We visited on a Friday night. The place wasn't real busy. We had apps and entrees. All was ok, but we have had better Thai.

This is quickly becoming our favorite restaurant! The new ownership has made some noticeable improvements to food quality and taste. Last night we unexpectedly had our dog with us late into the evening and were starving.. we went to Thai papaya hoping to eat on the patio with our dog... the patio wasn't open due to a staffing issue and the inside being busy.. when we explained our situation they graciously accommodated us and allowed us to sit outside....we were prepared for things to be slow since we were challenging the staff, however, quite the opposite was true.. we had everything we needed including a bowl of water for our dog! The owner/waitress was so friendly and pleasant and obviously takes much pride in her restaurant! The food is very very good.. fresh, unique, bold flavors with quality ingredients... The new pineapple yogurt smoothie was amazing... my husband ended up ordering one too! I would go there just to have one of those for Dessert! Highly recommend Thai Papaya!

No bar but they do serve drinks. Close early (8pm) but food was so hood. Fresh made. Peanut sauce at first looked like it was watery but such good flavor. Nutty and sweet. Curry was good. Not too spicy. I had pineapple fried rice with shrimp instead of chicken. Sooo yummy. Don't let the fact it has pineapple or raisins in it keep you from ordering this as its very tasty with the unami, nut, sweet combo. This is one of my fav Thai dishes. Price was extremely reasonable.

Service was great. The food was not what I was expecting. I expected a lot of food on a small plate, I was very wrong. The dishes were very well thought out. I got a pad ti with beef. The beef and noodles were good, but the sauces they put on the side and the veggies they had on the side complemented. the whole dish in a way I'd not experienced in a dish at that price. ($12.50)

I was so excited to try this place. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options and I love supporting local businesses. The food is okay. The portions are generous. I didn’t like my food but there was nothing wrong with it. The flavor/sauce just isn’t something I enjoyed. My partner got fried rice and it was really delicious. I’m leaving 2 stars because of the service. It’s horrible. We came in and stood at the door for over 10 minutes before we were seated. We ordered and got our food pretty fast. Once we got our food, the waiter never came back to check on us. The food is pretty spicy. My partner took his glass to the bar to ask for water, and the waiter saw him and immediately turned his back and walked away. We were completely ignored. Never got another refill. Waited 15 minutes after eating for a check. A check never came, we had to again walk around and find someone to ask for a check. I wouldn’t say the staff is rude, but they’re not friendly and they just don’t refill drinks or check on you at all. The food is okay but honestly you can get good fried rice anywhere else and have much better service. Unfortunately I don’t recommend this place and I won’t be coming back.

I LOVE this place!! I dream about their Fresh Rolls! I have dined in and gotten to go up to 6 times in a week, it's just that delicious. When I come to Evansville, I make it a point to stop there and eat. ❤️❤️❤️

Daughter, hubby, and I were in Evansville for a tennis tourny, and we came across this gem because we prefer vegetarian options. The hostess/waitress was kind and welcoming. The fresh veggie rolls appetizer was my favorite, especially with the sauce. We also got the fried tofu with Cucumber sauce and veggie pad thai. As a 14 week pregnant woman, these dishes really hit the spot. The best part about this restaurant is their menu. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free friendly!
