Wow pretty much sums up our visit here. First of all, you can't beat the location if you are visiting any of the sights downtown. Across the street is the river walk and within walking distance are several museums, downtown restaurants and venues, etc. The hotel was also only a year old at the time of our visit (April 2023) so it was very modern and clean. The gym had all the equipment that I needed but I also opted to walk around downtown since the weather was nice that weekend. A bicycle rental station is across the street along the river if you'd like to cycle as well. Unloading and parking was super simple and the parking lot is very well-lit at night. We will be back!

I have stayed in hotels from Toronto to New York to Chicago to Germany, and I would have to say this was one of the best places I have ever spent the night. The staff was friendly, the room as GORGEOUS, and the location could not have been better. I loved that I could see the river out of one side of my room and the historic downtown area out of the other side. I will definitely stay here on my next visit to Evansville.

This hotel receives an A+ in all categories. The room was exceptionally clean, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, the exercise equipment was modern and very well cared for, and the location is adjacent to the river. There was absolutely nothing I would change and I will definitely stay at this hotel again when I'm in town. My only wish is that all hotels across the country were this well maintained and managed. Great job to the staff at this Holiday Inn!

Super friendly staff. Clean. Everything worked. Breakfast was decent very nice to have hot breakfast again instead of the brown bag yucky. We came for the frog follies so no time to check out the gym and laundry room. It was quiet and the parking lot was gated. I would stay there again. Oh and the river across the street was a huge bonus.

An unusual hotel in how the rooms are laid out, but everything was exceptionally clean, there is an outdoor seating area with fire pit, inside seating also, and the staff tried to know you by name, at least they knew mine even though I had no extensive interactions. With views of the Ohio river from your room and even from the elevator, this is an excellent place to stay, close to everything downtown.

Great hotel that was nice and clean. Parents for children should know that breakfast doesn't open until 7 am. And even then, most food wasn't out until 7:30. It makes for a late start to your day if you have somewhere to be or early risers

I want to give this 5 stars. The staff were helpful when checking in and giving us directions around town. However, the fire alarm kept going off between 6 am and 7 am than housekeeping woke us up at 8:30 am.

This review is for the Holiday Inn (Downtown Evansville) location on Walnut. The rooms were very clean and nice with all amenities one would need for a stay. The lobby and conference areas were very large and well maintained also. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was easy and efficient. We used them for our wedding block hotel and I am very impressed with how easy and communicative they were in the process. None of our guests had any complaints regarding the hotel or the staff. They even went out of their way to make sure we would have everything we needed for our wedding and our guests. They were very responsive and professional in the process. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area or hosting events in Evansville.

Micah at the front desk was fantastic! I needed a place to charge my car overnight and over the phone she assured me they had 2 working chargers in their gates parking lot, which was exactly the case. The king room was spacious and clean. Happy to see IHG removing excess plastic waste by eliminating single-use toilettetries and using refillable bottles, looks like they're partnering with Dove on that effort. HOT BREAKFAST in the mornings! The staff made an excellent effort to have everything ready, and the food was delicious. 100% recommended!

Beautiful hotel, desk clerks were super friendly and gave us a list of restaurants. Breakfast was super, and even had to go bags which came in handy because we were there with family in the hospital. The muffins and fruit hit the spot while we waited for our loved one's operation. Everyone was so nice.

Nice evening staff. Room was very clean, big and comfortable Worst thing was as soon as I finally started getting asleep around midnight- one o'clock . I was startled awake by the loudest fire alarm I've ever heard before. It was going off for more than 5 minutes. No communication from hotel staff at all. Alarm finally went off. My son and I finally layed back down. About 5min later it went off again. Only on for about 2mins that time. Once again no communication from hotel staff. Tried calling front desk a few times but only got busy signal. So needless to say it was hard to get back asleep after that. So I basically got no sleep. Breakfast was good. The lady working in breakfast area was nice enough to make my son some cinnamon rolls since they were all gone. I do believe they need more than one person working front desk checking people in. It was around 4pm and the line was going out the door. The lady was working as fast as she could and was doing a great job. But she could have used some help. In the morning there were 3 people working up front and office. Would have been nice to have had all that help evening before. I do feel the hotel should have apologized about the fire alarm.

This hotel is pretty good. It's clean and quiet. Located downtown, it has its own free parking, and it's in a good location with great views of the Ohio River. It is close enough to walk to several very good restaurants. It's also close enough to walk to the event centers if you are going to see a show. I'll stay here again if I am ever in the area.

This is a fairly nice hotel in downtown Evansville. Not terribly expensive, but not low-priced either. The room was nice enough and the bed was very comfortable. Only one real negative: the East-facing room has only thin shades. The room didn't get dark at night as the light from the streets went right through the blinds. Then when the sun came up first thing in the morning it was quite bright in the room. It was difficult to sleep. Some blackout shades would be a huge improvement...

I stayed here over a week ago with six rooms. I am from a school, so we are tax exempt. Everything went well at check in, they took our tax exempt number and everything. At check out, we were not only charged tax, but also $50-$100 more per room than quoted. We were told the manager would be fixing this immediately and emailing me the receipt. Here we are a week later and they will not return my phone calls.
