I recently booked a room at Premier Inn in Wimbledon, London, for a night. The room was clean and tidy, providing a satisfactory stay until an unfortunate incident occurred. In the middle of the night, around 12 am, a fire alarm went off, catching us off guard as we were about to call it a night. Like many other guests, we were clueless about the situation and had to evacuate the building. However, the lack of communication from the staff exacerbated the situation. The staircase leading down from the 6th floor was jam-packed with panicking guests, including an elderly woman with limited mobility who understandably feared for her safety. My partner had to venture downstairs to ascertain the situation and found out it was a false alarm. Regrettably, none of the staff made any effort to inform the guests or make security announcements. The most concerning aspect was the unpreparedness of the staff to handle such an incident. They appeared inexperienced and were unable to provide assistance or alleviate the fear and confusion among the guests. We also came to know that the hotel did not have the safety procedures in place, neither did they have any communication with the fire department. The lack of acknowledgment or apology for the inconvenience further compounded our disappointment. While the room was satisfactory, the experience surrounding the fire alarm incident left a lasting negative impression. Adequate training and clear communication protocols are necessary to ensure guests' safety and well-being during emergencies. Overall, I am disappointed by the way the fire alarm incident was handled, and I sincerely hope that Premier Inn takes proactive measures to prevent such occurrences in the future.

The location is 7mins walk to Wimbledon tube and train station. The staff are attentive and professional. I found Elijah to be mighty welcoming, efficient, polite and well spoken. The rooms are a decent size and are clean. I also really love the manager MILENA. She is honestly the best in every way! She works too hard and fully caters to all of your requests and queries. Both deserve a pay rise! Yours Jacqui

It was definitely the best choice ever. The hotel is well situated, close to the trains, buses, tram, tube lines. There are some buses next to the hotel. Also shops close at hand. The hotel is warm, and so quiet. During our stay I was thinking we are the only ones there. Windows are thick so there is no traffic sounds hearing. Beds are so comfy, it was the best sleep ever. There are few lifts so no need to wait long to get one. The room was clean, everything was working well, the water was really hot. And the main point there is breakfast in stylish designed bar on the ground floor. It's not included, need to pay extra but it's worth every penny. Fresh made in combi steam oven not fried in the oil. Whatever you want, a lot of choices, cooked or continental or both, eat as much as you can, self service. We felt like home and didn't want to leave. If come back to London we choose Premier Inn Wimbledon again for sure.

Fire alarm goes off at 11.10pm. No procedure. Fire marshall apparently just started his shift and didn't have time to follow procedure. Half of guest sent back half outside. Building not checked and false alarm blamed on builders in adjoining restaurant, drilling. Really unsafe. Thankful it wasn't a real fire. Shocking!

Stayed here last week for two nights, I have stayed in several Premier Inns over time and have never had a bad experience before with the chain but I did with this one. We we arrived the check in gave us a room which hadn’t been cleaned and there was a urine stain on the bathroom floor, we went to reception and complained. I advised we wanted a room with a bath and also for it not to be a disabled wet room like the last one as we both likes baths. The receptionist changed the room and assured us it would have a bath. However, when we got into the room after again moving all of our luggage we found it had no bath and we had again been given a disability adapted suite which we didn’t need. My partner went down to complain and the staff were rude and argued that we had requested a disabled room, we provided the proof we hadn’t and said we wanted a bath and eventually we were given another room which had a bath. This caused us to have to lug our luggage around 3 times after arriving from a long journey. The room itself was okay but wasn’t properly cleaned. There was a poo stain in the toilet, visible grime on the shower head and there was also a red stain on one of the pillows. Only 1 towel was given even though they knew it was a couple staying so we had to go down and ask. The bed however was comfortable. Some of the staff was lovely but some was very rude and unpleasant to deal with. We paid for the meal deal and even though we booked to eat at 10am there was never any breakfast left unlike other Premier Inns, just scraps. This was disappointing. On the first night I had the meal I was given a dirty glass with a chip in it too, when I politely asked for another the waitress was very rude about it. The extractor fan in the room was also broken which caused the room to steam up when we used the shower. Safe to say we won’t be staying here again.

The room was not clean - one towel in the room was dirty and the toilet roll dispenser had stains on the underside. The door handles had encrusted dirt and the carpets were not clean. Otherwise fine but I wouldn't recommend this if other options are available.

I stay here in Wimbledon quite a lot and really enjoy staying at this hotel. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfy and the staff are very friendly. The hotel is situated on the high street so plenty of restaurants and shops in walking distance as well as a several supermarkets. The rooms are always clean. The breakfast team is super friendly too, especially Manuella who is always cheerful and helpful. Thank you all and see soon

I stayed for 3 nights over a weekend. I was impressed with how quiet it was considering its in central Wimbledon and on a busy road. The building must be well soundproofed as I heard virtually no noise from fellow guests. The in room climate control was decent. There is a night restaurant and bar right next door. Only criticism is I found a few long hairs which weren't mine in the bathroom so cleaning clearly could be slightly improved. There was also a small hole in the duvet if I'm being picky.

This place accorded me the opportunity to spend quality time doing the things that mattered to me. I acquired some mileage in my walk with God. The hotel was quiet and clean. Good food was available close by. Car park in the area wasn’t too bad. A very good location where most of my needs were easily met. Staff were very helpful.

Had an amazing stay here. The staff were friendly and our room was great. We will definitely come back again The steak we had at the restaurant attached to the in was succulent, and the accompanying chips and coleslaw were great. Would recommend a stay here to all my friends and family

I stayed in a family room. The room was clean and there was a good cot for our baby. But the staff were the real standout. When our 3 year old was sick in the middle of the night, the staff were incredibly helpful providing towels, clean bedding very quickly.

Stayed on Saturday 14 August. Really enjoyed our stay and wished it could've been longer. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the breakfast choice was very good. Everyone in the restaurant was extremely helpful, particularly the manager. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Great central location just down from the theatre. Cheap price, good rooms and comfy beds. We had a few initial issues checking into our room and they kindly gave us a free upgrade and breakfast.

The hotel's location was convenient, offering a variety of restaurant choices nearby. The beds were comfortable, and the staff was friendly. However, the lack of windows for fresh air was a drawback. The rooms, though basic, provided comfort. A mini fridge would be a welcomed addition. Overall, it remains a solid option for a budget hotel, and we consistently choose Premier Inn during our UK visits.

On check-in the staff were great, nothing was ever too much trouble throughout our week long stay. The room was lovely and kept clean. We were there to see someone in hospital it was situated within easy distance to the hospital. We had breakfast and dinner. Dinners were lovely, staff ensured we had everything we needed. Breakfast was good and the lady in charge was fantastic. All in all a great stay. Recommended

I stay here each month for work whilst visiting HQ. The hotel is good and you always know what you’re going to get. Modern rooms, well equipped, comfy beds and a good breakfast in the morning. The hotel staff are always polite and friendly, which makes staying here a pleasure. Elijah and a couple of others have been here during the last year or so whilst I’ve been visiting and they always offer a warm welcome. Keep up the great work!

Before I start write any comments concerning the premier inn The Broadway Wimbledon as we all know we must distinguish the difference between a 5 4 or even 2* stars hotels and business hotel and indeed a budget hotel where the premier inn stands. I’ve stayed at premier inn The Broadway Wimbledon for quite some time and truly my experience from start to finish is absolutely amazing a complete hassle free the staff member at the reception friendly helpful & very professional let alone the house keeping they work around the clock to insure the rooms the hallway in the manner it should “absolutely spotless” really well done not to mention the lovely breakfast the good food and the restaurant atmosphere, not to forget the great location where the hotel is situated / once again well done guys and thank you for having me your service is excellent truly second to non . I highly recommend. Sherif.

Very late check in time which is not great but staff did all to accommodate an earlier check in for 1 of the rooms to drop our bags which was most helpful. Basic but clean and good size bathroom, very comfortable bed. really good value for money in otherwise expensive area

Location is great and also has a market at a walking distance. The hotel staff is very helpful and rooms were clean and all amenities were present. Got booking at a good price. Also if you are at top floor you get good view of Central London and can spot a lot of flights.

Lovely Premier Plus room. Close to station and where I needed to be for work. Would have given 5 stars but they kept closing the kitchen after already charging me for a meal deal. Had to mess about getting refunded.

The one lady during breakfast was so lovely, sorry I don’t know your name but you made out stay so much better. But sadly the rooms were disgusting, stains everywhere on the headboards, the floor, walls and a giant blood stain on my moms bed. Even the hallways never seem vacuumed at all always crumbs and stains as well. The towels have a very musky smell it was odd. I would never say this place was 4.4 I’d give it at most a 2 food wise though I’d say a 4 especially since the one lady was so lovely to us and so attentive she deserves a raise. And my gosh the noise above us was a joke. Listening to people above banging and stomping around was a joke, woke me up every single morning like they’re jumping around like animals. If you’re on an upper floor please have some consideration for people below u especially since British floors are in no way sound proof because my gosh the sound ruined every moment for me whilst in the room and trying to sleep.

We stayed on the hottest night of the year. The staff at reception are amazing, so friendly, and nothing too much bother The room was acceptable, comfy bed and the delight of AC which worked very well. Powerful shower

  • 1/5 Kay S. 5 months ago on Google
If I could rate this a zero then I would. The shower door does not close - it slides half way opened. The shower water leaked all on the floor causing me to slip and hurt myself. When I informed the hotel, this was their response: I can only offer my sincerest apologies that this happened to you and that I am unable to take this issue any further due to the fact that the shower setup is the standard setup for our rooms. I am unsure how this is a standard shower set up. This is a health and safety risk. I will not be staying here again. It's unfortunate that I can not upload the video of the shower door opening and the wet floor on this review.

Best London hotel I’ve ever been in within this price range. The beds were comfortable, the room was very nice and clean. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but sufficient and decent. The neighbourhood is nice with lots of small shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. Of course, it’s a bit further from Central London but we personally enjoy staying in a different part of town each time we visit.

I was here a week ago when the fire all go off. It was my first experience to evacuate the hotel and I was very impressed how the staff managed the evacuation…very professional!!! During my stay the staff member was very kind and friendly and help me out for any requests that I asked for.

Super friendly staff. Very clean room. The bathroom was beautiful, and honestly, you can't complain for the price. It was a beautiful little room.

Great friendly service, everyone was clearly in control and knowing what they were doing. Reception was very quick check in and straight to it whilst being friendly and professional. The bar is fantastic, cocktails couldn't be recommended enough and all the staff were so on it and in control with no rushing or panicking going ok when busy. A very nice and relaxing place to sit and have drinks. 100% recommend if you're in the area, especially if the 2 4 1 cocktails offer is on.

Nice and clean hotel with reasonable price. Room was quiet as well. However, i was so surprised that there was no fridge in the room. It was my first time staying in a hotel without a fridge!! I stayed here with my family, and they didn't charge extra for adding more family members. The staff did help me on what I asked, but I wouldn't say they were very friendly. They have a restaurant on the ground floor, and their breakfast is really good value.

Just home from a 4 night stay, myself and 3 young children. Hotel is lovely, rooms are great and staff were amazing. Every staff member was really friendly, chatty and more than happy to help. The bar/restaurant staff are also lovely. Great location with lots of nice eatery’s around. Will definitely return.

A top quality premier Inn hotel. We had a nice quality room and a nice proper shower. Location is good with lots of restaurants nearby and a tube stop just a small walk down the road. The only issue I had was the breakfast service was a bit understaffed. There wasn't any cutlery so I had to ask for some and items like bread and sauce were empty on arrival

  • 4/5 Paul W. 1 year ago on Google
Good clean and quiet hotel. With a Premier Inn you know what you will get and this hotel is a good example. The rooms are fairly new and well decorated. Our room was very quiet so we got a good night's sleep on the comfortable bed. From Wimbledon station you can be in London in 20 minutes. Staff were really helpful and stored our bags for us. I would recommend this hotel.

I’ve been using Premier Inn hotels for many years and I’ve visited many across the country. I think it’s a very good company and for many years driving around the country I never looked elsewhere. Great breakfast, dinner and price is good for what you get. Unfortunately this one isn’t for me. Spending three nights at the room was all I could take. You cannot open the window. Air conditioning is making you dehydrated. When it’s off you feel suffocated as the ventilation isn’t working well in my opinion. As the company I like you and give you strong four stars. 4.5 considering the price. Unfortunately the more (modern) places like this the less Ill visit I’m afraid.

Comfortable stay, good shower and very clean. No parking available but somewhat accepted considering location. It meant I had to carry luggage further than I would have liked but I managed none the less. Would visit again when in the area.

Great family room, spacious despite having three beds and really useful having a bath. Comfy, clean and modern. Only downside was breakfast - booked for 7am only to be told that the chef hadn't turned up so wasn't available until 8am.... not ideal with two hungry children and plans made around a 7am breakfast.

This hotel train basically is a simple self-service hotel , start from the reception. Staff will assist you to check in if they're not busy. The room has no intercom, you need to go to reception for anything. The shower head has no handle and the water just come right above your head. The room is clean, but service is poor during my visit. I noticed the reception next day morning before we left the hotel: that the towels needs replace, the reception responded that: "this is reception". We look at her, she seems like don't want to do anything. We reply: "so who we should talk to?" Then she ask us to say it again when we come back . Further, we told her the shower gel is empty and needs refill. However when we came back during the night, the shower gel container still empty.

Five hundred yards from the district line tube. Six stops from earls court. Great variety of food in the area. Top notch five year old premier inn, Aircon rather than windows open. This one has a lovely restaurant, steak house attached for breakfast and dinner included offers. Couch bed perfectly comfortable. Great pre arrival communication. Even at peak time the price was not too bad.

Had a perfect stay! Just stayed for about 12 hours overnight to save myslef the commute and I will be doing it again!!! Booked the room the same day - quick and easy! When I went to check in I was nervous because you check in on a machine and I was skeptical but the whole process too about 2 minutes and then checking out I just handed in my key and left! Reception was always staffed they were super friendly and offered me help to check in. Room was simple and clean - hopefully next time if I book in advance it won’t be so expensive but overall 10/10 !

Everything you expect from a premier Inn. Nice spacious rooms, lovely shower unit instead of a bath. The only tiny thing was one of the tea spoons had sugar in it when I arrived. I had a great night's sleep and the restaurant next door is well worth a visit.

Another good stay , clean and friendly. Breakfast busy but good quality. Had dinner this time, try out a new menu at bar and block, steaks were great and there is Mac nd cheese for my boy 👍 All in Christmas spirit now, love the cocktails at the bar, try Tiramisu Martini!

Wonderful breakfast in the mornings, had a few evening meals and a cold, draft beer in the evenings. Best ever staff, friendly, accommodating, especially the 'Italian lady' restaurant hostess and the gentleman host from Turkey. Great folks.

Practical and well-maintained hotel, friendly services both in the restaurant and at the reception. The rooms are surprisingly spacious, pleasant and clean. Thanks also to Mr. Vasile for giving us some of his time to explain some things to us, he was very kind.

The room was nice. It was clean and we had a good service. Food was good and great value for money. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The small man decorated the room exceptionally. The towel dog was amazing.
