Honestly have been trying to like this place a few times now - this was my second or third time here & unfortunately prob my last. When you walk in nobody greets you, you kinda just stand there awkwardly until you walk up the bar & ask where to sit. The service was not bad, the food this time was good picky food. I got the wings which I heard were good so I was excited they lived up to the expectations. I live locally so I’m going to give this 3 stars.

This place used to be good! This new owner that took it over ran it into the ground. The food is terrible, live music just about every night and grown men are allowed to use the women’s bathroom! I was there a few nights ago and saw a man, who thought he was a woman, exit the women’s bathroom, sick!! I used to be a regular, but will not go back until it’s sold to someone that has common sense.

Extensive cocktail selection, pork roll on the menu, and they played the humpty dance. Five stars. Enjoyed the Velvet Elvis seasonal cocktail.

I moved to Ewing almost 3 years ago. I like the local vibe feel and finding Al's was perfect. Their food is good and reasonably priced. The bartenders Chris, Paul and Maria are the best. They feel like family now. Chris in the kitchen is great and so personable. If you want to go where everyone knows your name, try Al s. And as a plus they have entertainment and if not the jute box is always available. My go to place.

I’d probably give this a 3.5 but I’d prefer to side with the business when possible. All of this review is based on the fact that yes, I do in fact understand it’s a bar. That said the food was standard issue bar food. If you’re there to drink and want food too, there you go. Not going to offend you. We did not intend to drink as we went for lunch, but I’ll be honest, the water was the worst tasting water I’ve ever had and I’m no stranger to tap water. This is more of a heads up to the place or other customers. Whatever Trenton is doing to their tap water is awful so I’d figure out another plan. So we both switched to alcohol instead which is fine, and the drinks were good. Service was fine. I’ll assume they were understaffed a bit so maybe a little frazzled. I get the hiring struggle so no big deal.

Was recently here for the first time. Nice Bar, Friendly and efficient bar tender. He was doing double duty, taking care of the bar and waiting tables. The food we ordered was not so good. BLT had lots of bacon but it was only partially cooked and limp. My chicken cheese steak had hunks of chicken the type you would put in a salad. I think the cook might need some training? Also, there are too many menu items for such a small place. Will likely give them another try

This place has been around for as long as I’ve been in the area and that’s over 50 years. Recently, I heard it was worth a visit. On a Friday night before 5 it wasn’t crowded. Parking was easy in the their lot. There is a bar and small room with high tops. We chose the later. Glen our server was friendly and patient. He prepared a yummy cocktail for me. My hub enjoyed the Cuban. The pizza steak sandwich came with sweet potato fries and was big enough to share. Good service and good food in a tavern worth returning to.

During a recent visit to Ewing last week, we had dinner at Al's Airport Inn the first night (we had arrived late and needed a place where we could eat late). We sat at one of the available tables - there is no host/hostess but there is a visible sign instructing patrons to sit wherever they want (this was in no way an inconvenience for us). We ordered Al's Steak Melt and Fish & Chips. They were both very tasty. The Limoncello Mascarpone Cake was delicious and one portion was more than enough for two people. Our server, Maria, was very attentive, friendly and a pleasure to talk to. There was live music, which was very pleasant. We liked that it was not too loud, making it more enjoyable and allowing us to have a conversation while we ate. The bar was crowded and it had a nice, casual ambiance. We liked it so much that we went back for take out a couple of days later. During this second visit, we again ordered Al's Steak Melt and decided to try the Shrimp Mac And Cheese. The latter was a little disappointing in that is was not particularly creamy and the shrimp were minuscule and scarce but the taste was OK. If I ever go back to this area of New Jersey I would like to go back and eat dinner at this place.

First time there although my husband has been there several times. A little noisy with live music and conversations but atmosphere is friendly. Service is very good and very friendly. Food is excellent and very reasonable. Definitely will be back.

First time vistor. The place is very small in the eating area and you're basically sitting on top of everyone. It is very loud, making it very hard to hear people talking right next to you. Besides that the service was good and the meal i had (cheesesteak tacos) was very good. They had live music the night i was there and it was very entertaining. Most likely i will give it another shot.

Nice atmosphere, fun, friendly staff. Pretty good food. Some of the apps could use some improvement, the egg rolls were piping hot but cold in the center. Overall really nice vibe, a bit small.

Came here for the first time today for my b-day. This place is incredible!!! Food was so good!! Waitress was great! I don't remember her name but we sat at seat 10 around 10pm. We had steak sandwiches and they were so yummy. Prices were reasonable. Music was fantastic and everyone who works at Al's rocks!!!! 😸👍😀🌈

Friendly spot, great decor, excellent service, amicable fellow patrons, and the wings were delicious. Let me clarify: they do something unique with their hot wings that doesn't in the least disappoint you even if you were expecting something more usual. It's like a mix between BBQ wings and buffalo wings, but it really REALLY works. Definitely a great place to stop by for a beer and a bite. Not much more to say other than definitely recommended!

This place was named one the top 3 friendliest bars for a reason! Paul and Cap are some of those reasons in our opinion. There's nowhere else we visit as frequently as Al's and that's because the staff is amazing! Chris, the cook is great and service is second to none. Definitely check this place out (over and over again)!!

Stopped before hitting Trenton Airport and was pleasantly surprised. Nice clean place with excellent food and staff. Natalie our waitress/bartender was very attentive. One of the travelers with me is very picky about her drinks and said that she did a great job with her Stawberry Monito! The over the top for me being an Elvis fan was that the Women's bathroom was named Janis and the Men's was Elvis!

Casual pub atmosphere. Long bar with lots of seats and about a dozen tables. Burgers are outstanding. Steak melt was SO good. Friendly customers chatted from one table to the next. Bartenders handled bar and table service, not the best idea but acceptable because food was so good!

Stopped in for the first time a couple of days ago and were so pleased that we did. Great staff, great patrons and the best wings I’ve had in quite a while. Stopped in again today and the experience was just as positive. Thank you for such a comfy, hospitable, solid place! We will be regulars, for sure!

I LOVE Al’s!! The Al’s wings are the best!! Paul, Maria, CAP and Glen are great bartenders and can’t forget about the Chris in the kitchen! Everyone is always so friendly and it really makes me feel at home every time I go! (1-2 times a week LOL)

Don't let the outside of the place fool you, our friends invited us for dinner a little bit ago and we were delightfully surprised. The inside decor is very nice, the staff is fantastic and the food and drinks are top notch. The bourbon selection was fantastic also!

I unfortunately had a pretty bad experience tonight, assuming due to staff shortages. We ordered 4 entrées and an appetizer. After 40 minutes 1 entrée arrived by itself. We asked the food runner about the rest of the order to which he said he didn’t know and walked away. We sat for another 15 minutes before we got the chance to flag someone else down. Ultimately the sandwich was for another table, which was taken back and we were told the food would be out shortly. About 15 minutes later the appetizer and and 3 entrées arrived, the sandwich that was taken back never came back out. The restaurant was filled with tables being sat but there were no servers, only 1 person behind the bar who seemed responsible for the entire restaurant. The 4th entrée finally came out after we again had to flag someone down and it had to be made, there seemed to be major confusion with communication with the kitchen and runners. We watched about 3 other parties get up and walk away due to not being helped. Other than the food runner we had, the staff was definitely doing their best given the circumstances. Unfortunately the gentleman we had was unfriendly and not helpful, and a little rude.

Al's Airport Inn is a great stop to grab a beer after work or before a flight as well as to grab a quick bite. This little bar certainly has some local character. They've made improvements to the bar and the menu so it's worth a stop if you haven't been by in a while. Make sure to check their social media for live music entertainment.
