The bouncers ask my friend and I to leave for an unbelievable reason when we were spending money and having a good time!? Saying we were making people feel uncomfortable when we have been there before and they were no issues!? Very disappointing way to treat customers. 😢 One point of reference, your bouncers made everyone more uncomfortable than we ever did?! We have been in lots of clubs/pubs and that is the first time we have ever been ask to leave even for an unbelievable reason that your bouncers gave?!

Paid to get in, ordered 2 drinks and then tried ordering another two drinks, couldn’t hear a word the bar staff said so asked for the drinks again only to be escorting out by door staff. They told me I wasn’t allowed back in and I even spoke to the manager who didn’t believe me when I said I wasn’t rude in any way (it also would’ve been on cctv) and wouldn’t let me back in. Luckily my friend saw me being escorted out else I wouldn’t have been able to find him… do not recommend this night club and will not be returning. The staff were rude. I’ve had a few decent nights in here but it’s completely out me off.

Nice venue but terribly managed. Banned for mistaken identification - emailed in proof that I wasn’t present the day of the offence and after a year I was told by the doorman that they’ve acknowledged it wasn’t me (shock - I wasn’t even in the country). However, apparently in proving my innocence I pissed the manager off and now remained banned. A normal person might offer an apology after publicly & abusively banning a guest incorrectly, but not here. I hope everyone migrates to The Monkey Suit where the management actually appreciate their customers.

Friend was beaten after bouncer picked a fight with him whilst trying to leave club. No resistance after being pinned down and yet they continued to beat him, causing cuts and bruising to his face and eyes. No reason or remorse when we tried to resolve the issue, despite complete compliance and passivity by all involved. Never returning to this club, worst experience I have ever had clubbing in my life. Bouncer should be in jail for assault.

Worst nightclub I’ve ever been to. Clear business model of kick people out for little to no reason to get more entry fees in. I was kicked out for leaving a drink on the side (clearly a prohibited side) to go out and check on a friend who was struggling to get back in. My friend came outside and pleaded my case then he was refused re-entry. Absolutely crazy, avoid like the plague.

This nightclub has never been one of the best nightclubs in exeter however it used to be a nice place to go at the end of the night when most clubs start to close. However compared to last year they have started to charge entrance during week time whereas this was never the case before under the pretence that they were having special events even though nothing seems to differ from normal evening and event evenings. In addition to this the bouncers are very unpleasant and refuse entrance for no reason and when you ask them for a reason they refuse to answer and tell you that you are causing issues. All in all this club has massively reduced in quality this year and the bouncers have become more and more disrespectful towards their clients.

My friend tried to get in with an eligible ID, he was denied entry because the bouncers said it was not eligible. Many times in the past vaults has denied entry for ethnic minorities but minutes later allows white people in. Maybe this is a reflection of the bouncers and not the club itself however it seems to be a reoccurrence that this type of thing happens here but not at other clubs. This club has also had many allegations of spiking happening inside the club with no acknowledgement from the bouncer. There are plenty other clubs in the area, there is no reason to go to vaults. They also take ID off people without lawful reason, stay away from vaults!

Came here with my friends for my birthday as we were visiting Devon. We had only one option and this was it. The bouncers were nice & polite. The music sounded good. Until you entered something what I can only describe as a year 6 disco in a library. The bar staff were nice as long as you’re buying the most expensive drink, but if you’re not. No smiles for you! Don’t expect anywhere to sit either as there is not one chair in the entire building. The entire building being one room may I add. I ordered a Diet-Coke as I didn’t plan on staying for much longer. At this point I had a woman at the bar accuse me of pouring my own drinks & stashing them into my bag! Ridiculous how you think I’d stash a bottle of vodka in my new Louie.😉 I got took into a damp, cluttered & smelly back room to get searched. Clearly didn’t look well enough because it was in my bra. Hehe. So if you want somewhere to go where people are getting egged on to finish their WKDS and throw them on the floor and howl into the air whilst stood in a group, come here! If you want a good night out, go to Manchester. :)

Tonight on the 7th January at 22:40 we experienced offensive slur from your DJ that was homophobic on nature. As the Equality Act 2010 we hope that you take this seriously as this the slur ‘cocksuckers’ was extremely offensive. As the only 6 people within the venue, who spent £35 to enter the once gay bar, to witness the event was extremely upsetting. I am pleased with the conversation with the manger, who promised that the DJ would be removed. Irregardless of the events prior, which was simply to ask ‘play a Taylor Swift song’ this is an extremely poor standard. This is by the staffs on admittance - not a gay friendly bar.

They are fickle, I have nothing but disappointment for a place e that should be full of love and inclusivity it is all about turnover and profit. I have told to leave three times now because I have not spent enough at the bar! Previously in the past they have watered down drinks here. If you want love and fun go somewhere else!

Sounds like this place is going the same way as Heaven in London, str8'sville dressed up as an original gay club, lots of str8 girls who break the simple rules of courtesy, (never bring your own drinks into any establishment). I had no problem with gay guys bringing in their str8 friends (Heaven were very anti when they opened) but too many good gay clubs have now been taken over and it is not the same atmosphere, money rules. This is a venue I will not visit, maybe they should pay more attention to their reviews if they want to actually have a good reputation. Never forget that word of mouth can very easily break a business, permanently.

The dive bar all the other dive bars look down on. Firstly, it is not a gay bar. It was full of weird, pervy straight guys that made my friend and I really, really uncomfortable. Some guy tried to steal my jacket out of my hands. We were constantly harassed. Two fights needed dealing with in the time it took to drink one drink and get out. On the plus side, the bar staff were really nice.

Weren’t allowed in because my Greek friends had Greek ids and it ‘wasn’t valid’ every other club allows our group in. For an all inclusive club it was very discriminatory and I won’t be going back bouncer was rude and discriminatory because people didn’t speak perfect English. I’m sad to be posting this but this is the state of vaults as of now.

Went here with my friend a while ago only now just got around to writing a review. It was very busy and we had to queue a while to get in. When we go in we went to the bar and ordered a drink each, person who served us was friendly so no issues there. We then went to the dance floor, we were only there 10 minutes when a bouncer came over grabbed my friend and dragged him out quite aggressively. I was truly baffled as we had only just got there and hadn’t even spoken to anyone or caused any sort of trouble. There was a female worker lurking when this happened so I politely asked her why he was thrown out and all she replied was ‘I don’t care just leave’ I then said how confused I was as we hadn’t done anything wrong and just wanted to be given a reason and again she just said ‘I don’t care, leave’. Very dodgy when they can’t even give a reason (but clearly it’s because there isn’t one). Strongly agree with other reviews saying they remove people when it’s busy so they can let more people in and gain money on entry fees. My friend was left quite shaken and confused by this incident, this place is definitely not LGBTQ+ friendly don’t be fooled

Decent Music and Vibe. Partly queer, mostly not. Don’t appreciate being physically shoved by the stair person, instead of asked to move while checking my phone… very rude. Not much else by way of choice though. Just don’t expect manners from anyone and you’re good :)

Gone right down hill over the years,not like it use to be bring back Arina Fox and the door staff are not friendly now in the past few months. I will never go there for a night out again .

honestly was my first time here but the atmosphere sucked mainly bc of the people, music is tasteless as f and i had an issue where i payed to put my coat in the cloakroom behind the bar and they kept telling me for 30 mins how i had to ‘wait 5 minutes and come back’ to get it because the bar staff couldnt go behind the bar for some reason? wasn’t a great time tbh

I had an enjoyable experience overall, but I must mention that gaining access to the establishment proved to be somewhat challenging. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the place could undoubtedly use some improvement. Despite these minor drawbacks, it was an entertaining outing, providing a worthwhile way to spend a leisurely afternoon.

Unfortunately a rather unpleasant experience. I was overcharged by the bar staff who just handed the card reader, not showing or stating the amount. I got a refund only after complaining to the manager and was treated unpleasantly throughout. We were also in a group of people. Only the Asian person with us got ID’d. I understand the need to ID people but there is right and wrong ways to do so as security to make people feel welcome and not discriminated against, especially when dealing with groups of people.

I’ve always loved vaults and it’s sad to see it’s rated so low! I just want to say thank you to the team and especially Adrian who helped me and my friend on Halloween night!! Staff are so lovely and the music is always so good! Thank you for looking after us!!

Security staff make sure you feel safe and secure, had the best time and a lovely at atmosphere the security were on point with what there doing great night and thank you to Zak daryl and Tash for the amazing service

I would say this place is brilliant, polite security and bar staff.However, based on the fact that it is the only night club open during week days, they need to be more inclusive. It is also a drink aware venue, if you get noticed to be tipsy, you may be excluded from the venue for the night. It is not always nice to be excluded when you are starting to enjoy your night but you thank them the next day to have done that :)

Vaults is a really cool club if you just like good music and dancing, the DJ's are great and it's a great time
