This place was so totally cute. It's in a handsome Victorian house charming and squeaky clean super comfy beds and excellent location between Exeter town centre and the uni. Straightforward friendliness climate conscious place very respectful to the environment. Great choice of breakfast and the staff were great 👍😊

This hotel/B&B is definitely not a 4 star hotel and I would rate it as a 3 star at best. Yes, the hotel is clean, but it is situated on a busy round-about and if you are unlucky enough to end up with a front facing room, you will find the noise unbearable and a good night’s sleep impossible. Despite booking months in advance, I ended up in a stifling attic room with a very small opening window. Doonas are only provided, so I had to contact housekeeping for a sheet! Only basic toiletries are provided. When I asked for shampoo and conditioner I was told to use the hand wash and was told by the receptionist that this is a budget hotel. What happened to the 4 star? The mattress on the bed was of poor quality and uncomfortable. Breakfast was mediocre at best and certainly did not live up to their advertising.

We were in Exeter overnight en route to the coast and needed a stay close to the train station. It was our good fortune that the Telestar was available and was about a 10 min walk from the main train station. We arrived at 8:30 pm and the surrounding neighborhoods were quiet and felt safe. We were surprised how nice our room was—the nicest for our 4 day weekend! Checkin was very fast and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the room was spotless. There were several nice touches, like filtered water, teas/hot chocolate/coffee and an orange chocolate. The bathroom was newly so cute, renovated and was also very clean. Our windows faced the back of the hotel and overlooked a pristine valley—so quiet! The breakfast was included and was tasty. There was some fruit, yogurt and cereal out and we could order hot items from the menu. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, except that there are a number of little sets of stairs to get in and around to our room—could be an issue if you have mobility problems.

This was a nice b and b to stay in. The room was very fit for purpose, alhough the beds were not the most comfortable. Our breakfast on the first day was absolutely wonderful. On the second day I fear we were forgot about as we were tucked away and the main area emptied and refilled before we were served. Very good at accommodating to vegans. Great location to walk into town.

We had a great couple of night here, great room, very helpful and friendly staff. Location perfect for river, parks, pubs and city. Very dog friendly. With parking, couldn't of asked for more.

Stayed for 1 night, 24th Nov. Had a cosy room at the back of the hotel with its own terrace and great views over the Exe valley. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The Staff were very friendly and helpful, even providing us with a local parking permit so we could park for free and head on into Exeter centre for shopping after we’d check out. Only a 10-15 minute gentle stroll into the centre through a pleasant part of the city. We will definitely be back

Great B&B, I loved having my dinner and morning coffee on the balcony and the provided Breakfast was very nice. The room was perfect for me and despite being sold as very small the bathroom was fine for me (sink a little small but I expected this) TV didn't work very well and often had no signal but I didn't need to use it much so this wasn't a big issue. Friendly staff and overall a great stay.

Lovely boutique hotel but not without its draw backs. First one is parking is very limited and very tight. Good luck even getting a space if the hotel is busy. Next thing is the rooms. We were room 2 on the ground floor and we could hear clear as day the room adjacent (and to the left) and the room above, especially the man coughing and throwing up. His habits aside it was just too loud and demonstrated a severe lack of any sound proofing at all. The breakfast and service though was first class and the location for a concert at the Great Hall in the university was spot on. Probably wouldn't use again due to the noise of other guests in their rooms. They weren't being inconsiderate, it's was just the rooms walls seemed so thin. Shame as it has a lovely little charm about it.

Great location for ease of public transportation of all types. Little difficult parking but do-able. Lovely, friendly staff who are really helpful. Quiet, really clean room, compact but ideal for our needs of one night! Super selection for breakfast and nothing seemed too much trouble for various dietary choices. Would definitely stay again!

Room was clean and tidy and staff attentive and responsive. An ideal location between Exeter St David station and the city centre. Will definitely use on future visits to Exeter.

Authentic quirky family run guesthouse with a great breakfast (full english, fruit & cereals), free parking and a really convenient location. The staff and owners are lovely hence I've stayed here loads of times.

The hotel is atmospheric, quite, neat, everything was very nice and clean, better than chain hotels. Generous breakfast. Highly recommended 👌

I've stayed here several times over the years, most recently on Friday; love the personal touches and warmth of the staff + owners, great location, easy access after hours and even a few parking spaces. Each room I've stayed in has its own individual style and always comfortable. A perfect choice if staying in Exeter.

A very simple venue, conveniently located for what is probably their main customer base - student visiting families. A large house turned into a hotel, my room was old fashioned but clean and comfortable. Communal areas are narrow and worn out. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Altogether, good value for the price.
